it's very possible to create movable scaffold, I use movable scaffold for most of my projects!
Negotiate with him, he can still reduce price.

PS: Make Sure your pop guys are there before he creates the scaffold, so they can explain the heights they want.

They said that he refused to reduce price... Pop guy was even angry because they were supposed to start work today but didn't because of the carpenter...he even complained that the price was way too much. I have bought planks, nails and 2by2, it is just to create scaffold. I have left it for the pop guy to get a carpenter

How much to pay carpenter for scaffolding? This carpenter is requesting 4500 and he said that he will do 7 scaffolds for 3 rooms... Basically he wants to charge 31,500. Bolu1986 and hamtabfawaz is there no way to create scaffolds that can be moveable?

Depending on location and number of doors. but highest 10k per door.cos he won't do the installations at once cos he'd firstly install the skeleton frame in-between the entrance wall then fill it up with mortal cement after three days when the mortal dries,he can now do the installations.

MDF board is 12,500_13k while Hdf board is 25k_27k.Hdf board is stronger,more durable,more quality than Mdf board.Two board would finish a 3ft door. But the secret is,let a Pro handles the installations.

The total sqm would determine the cost of the screeding.
As regards the paints, the cost is fair for what you would get for some known brands but I could definitely give you for less.
It doesn't sound like the place is more than a 3 bedroom bungalow... I assume the fence is included in the external paint. In any case, the ratio of the external to the internal is off. Even if satin covers very high and can complete it, the ceilings paint is not sufficient for an upstairs duplex.
If the painter promise to complete the whole job without requesting for extra, it's a good deal..

Also, I don't see a need for the anteroom as I'll be more comfortable if a guest sits outside waiting(I intend to make a small relaxation spot outside for the family, it should serve for guests to wait comfortably too) and if I am comfortable/safe with inviting my guest in, I can ask them to come in if that makes any sense.

I will be interested in adding the anterior to my living room space. It can make for inbar space in the living room but that would mean I will have to move the guest room door but to where?

5million will go a long way but won't be enough.. Are you going to use pop all through? The type of tiles you'd use? Bathroom, kitchen and rooms accessories. Budget like 7 million to 15 million.. All depends on you but my advice is, start with the funds you have and small small, you'd get to the finals.

The lobby that divides the guest room and the bedroom, I feel its a waste of space, I guess the opening is for light to reflect into the other lobby but still isn't necessary.
If you want to increase the space of the parlour, you should move the veranda to the kitchen side, add the space to the parlour and dining.

I plan on resuming work but with small modification. I want one of the rooms to be added to the parlor for bigger living room space and a penthouse introduce in that way recreating and balancing it as 4 bedroom penthouse. In this regard, I contacting my architect but to my shock he said that may not be possible. The building is still at the foundation stage of sand filling the foundation.

Elite Pop cement is good.

Per Kg of sponge (fillas) ranges from ₦2,400 - 2,700.
Please be careful when you buy sponge as some Unscrupulous vendors tweak their weighing scale to sell 6kg as 10kg to unsuspecting customers.


Before you Negotiate the price, Request that you want the fillas with the original scale, (if it's possible, go with your own small weighing scale) to confirm that 10kg is actually 10kg.
