doyin13: But rock venerates a lifestyle that didn't have people of my ilk (ie colour wise) in mind and I would feel like an impostor if I tried to bum rush their thing. Tell that to Jimmy Hendrix is it the music that insults it's females with derrogatory words that has your people in "mind"? |

slipknot is metal not rock, shows how much you know, doyin anyway great list, soulpatrol(always wondered if your name was from snow patrol ), ignore losers like doyin. They just run their mouths without knowing anything. RHCP used to be my fav band. REM still rules all for me anyway. Btw Gorillaz arent rock, they're alternative hiphop, now their real band, Blur is rock. |

Gheorghe: if her work schedule will not give her much time to take care of the kids, stopping her from work won't solve the issue,i could as well open a business for her (boutique, supermart) or whatever intrests her, with these she has ALL the time to monitor the kids and be home on time whenever she wants. Yes Im sure her parents spent so much on her education just so she can do a job that any illiterate can partake in. |

babyosisi: enough of all the talk of housewives raising children and inculcating values. I bet Abacha's mother was an illiterate housewife, see how he turned out!! @ hotchic,a man impregnating his househelp has nothing to do with the wife holding down a job. It has to do with the man himself.
afterall being a housewife does not mean she has a key to lock and unlock his "kiniko" A cheating man will always cheat Nothing else to add. |
Family › Re: Husbands Who Ask Their Wives To Resign Their Jobs by RedLips3(f): 8:26pm On May 14, 2007 |
I believe there is usually an ulterior motive for this. The man most probably has an ego problem and wants an excuse to control his wife and make her totally dependent.I know in the west its very difficult for two working parents to supervise the kids properly, but it can be done. Both my parents got to the top of their professions and I did not suffer from it in any way, rather I am proud of the fact. It's nice to see that a guy can admit that most of his brethen do this cos of ego problems. Point is couples should discuss these things before they get married. |
Culture › Re: Traditional Marriage Or 'White Wedding'? by RedLips3(f): 5:31pm On May 14, 2007 |
It's at least against the church law to commit adultery against your wife as opposed to traditional weddings where it's more favorable to the man.
and learn how to quote. |
Culture › Re: Traditional Marriage Or 'White Wedding'? by RedLips3(f): 4:16am On May 13, 2007 |
They are against it cos they are not restricted by law to stay in a traditional marriage and also the fact that church wedding is against adultery or bringing in another wife. |

1k001: Chances are that they are more likely to 'show what they learn' eventually by going 24/7 rather than by not going at all! If by showing you mean gossiping to others about what Madam so and so wore to church last week or how much they put down for tithe then sure. It's funny when you see most people who sit and read the Bible by themselves act better than those who go to church looking like peacocks. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Are Nigerians Truly Religious Or Mere Pretenders? by RedLips3(f): 11:31pm On May 11, 2007 |
Most of these so called religious people that attend church 24/7 hardly ever show what they learn. That is the problem |

I can't remember these two guys' names, but check Eru and Oru,two new movies produced by Ayo Adesanya Hassan, the lead actors are not yorubas!
The same reason Ibos produce Ibo movies in Ibo language. I don't understand the rationale behind your post, but if it's to cause another yoruba/ibo fracas, you've missed the road as no one is interested in that now. Thank you jare. Word from BigSis
I am married to a Nigerian, and I would not tolerate my husband lording his cultural values on me or my children The Nigerian that married this chick is a disgrace. Lol here they are whining about how black american men are losing "culture" yet she's whining about how she wont have her supposed Nigerian husband raise her and her kids with his own culture. We are the geniuses and the world, especially Africans desperately imitates. Who are you? But most important, who cares? Lmfao. Is this a joke? dude, April Fools Day was last month. genius of what? maybe before but now you guys are a joke. The generation before you did A LOT so your generation now can have the freedom to reach for whatever you want yet many of you don't take that opportunity, rather just sit and whine and have my taxes pay for your damn babies. In Nigeria, a baby with a baby is looked dwn upon, over here it's praised. Better stop fooling yourself and if you went to college, you'd know the Africans do better academically than your wack asses. Comot jare. and where did you get the idea that David was white? hahahhaa |

Rofl. and she has the audacity to say people "copy" them. Copy what? What dressing? last I checked they were the ones fooling themselves by buying fake kente cloth. hahha |
