What is bad about this portion of the road? It is still motorable, you need to visit Owerri/PH highway (Umuagwo axis) to know what bad road is. |
Case 1: When the American National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) began the launch of astronauts into space, they found out that their pens would not work at zero gravity (ink will not flow down to the writing surface). What did they do? Complex Solution: It took them one decade and $12 million to develop a pen that worked at zero gravity, upside down, underwater, on practically any surface including crystal and in a temperature range from below freezing point to over 300 degrees Celsius. Simple Solution: When confronted with the same challenge, the Russians used a pencil! Case 2: One of the most memorable case studies on Japanese management was the case of the empty soapbox, which happened in one of Japan’ s biggest cosmetics companies. The company received a complaint that a consumer had bought a soapbox that was empty. Immediately the authorities isolated the problem to the assembly Line, which transported all the packaged boxes of soap to the delivery department. For some reason, one soapbox went through the assembly line empty. Management asked its engineers to solve the problem. Complex Solution: Post-haste, the engineers worked hard to devise an X-ray machine with high-resolution monitors manned by two people to watch all the soapboxes that passed through the line to make sure they were not empty. No doubt, they worked hard and they worked fast but they spent a whooping amount to do so, not mentioning the additional recurrent cost of personnel and maintenance the new technology incurred. Simple Solution: When a rank-and-file employee in a small company was posed with the same problem, he did not get into complications of X-rays, etc., but instead came out with another solution. He bought a strong industrial electric fan and pointed it at the assembly line. He switched the fan on, and as each soapbox passed the fan, it simply blew the empty boxes out of the line. THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX!!! |
Nigerians and mamiwata. ![]() |
With grandchildren like these and he is still called Charly boy. |
Why is everybody saying that they are jokers? Are they not Nigerians or are they not qualified to run for any political office? We should free them abeg, after all they are better and more qualified than 90% of these i.diots currently ruling us. |
Before we compare, how many of us here do you think know about the old anthem? Most Nairalanders do not even know about "Nigeria we hail thee" anthem. |

Asoozy: I know that he claims that his father is Yoruba but Elliot is not a very well known name in Lagos. One thing is certain and that is he is not Awori so probably from a family of slave returnee or creole. He has shot himself in the foot by embracing his Igbo side when it suited him in neglect of his Yoruba origin so he should not be allowed to take all by some claim of half lagosianism. What do you mean by "he has shot himself in the foot by embracing his Igbo side"? Has he ever come out to claim he is an Igbo man? Is it because he worked in an industry dominated by Igbo? How did he neglect his Yoruba origin according to you? Your argument is so lame and lack basis. Good luck to him. |
Seems Nollywood ain't lucrative any longer, why are all these guys going into politics. From Julius Agwu contesting governorship position in Rivers state to 9ice running for house member representing Ogbomosho and now Desmond Elliott. Won't be surprised if I see Osuofia or Baba Suwe contesting against GEJ in 2015. ![]() |
aljharem: Nice !!!Tinubu not from Lagos? Seems Nollywood ain't lucrative any longer, why are all these guys going into politics. Typical Nigerian, viewing everything from a tribal lens rather than merit. Why must people pull others down just because the result /outcome did not favour them? Shame on Oshikoya and his likes. |
EMEKA1MILLION: Sheyi shay is beautiful.. Seyi shay is talented....Guy you badt ooo. Na wetin Tiwa do you nah? ![]() @Post, the 2 ladies are both talented and beautiful. |

bigtt76: GT must have increased theirs cost at a time it was N240 when Zenith was N450. Don't know about Union Bank ...though I would dine with them using a very looooooooooong spoonSeems it's been a while you walked into a Union Bank branch. Sentiment aside, they have one of the best robust Internet banking platform. The platform is very user friendly and one can even set up a Standing Order on it. Their UnionMobile app does not require any token before you can make a transfer. @topic, GTB is good but I think they are over hyped. |
GEJ is hated only by those who do not want Nigeria to progress. Ironically, the ''P'' in their political party name stands for ''Progressive'' ![]() |
Nigerians are indeed funny. We have seen Igbo village in Virginia, now it's Yoruba village in London, yet our cities from Aba to Ibadan are all in ruins. Why not think of how to better our land and make it habitable. The Americans and British don't give a fuccck about us. Yoruba village ko, Igbo community ni. |
omenka: That word has nothing to do with your post.Wicked. ![]() |
