Oh, is this why Band A has become Band C lately. |
Ah, ah. Are we still flying Alpha jets. Haba, those things were first bought when I was still in grade school to replace the Russian Migs. Can't imagine a single viable airframe after how many decades. We can do better than this. |
Lucky them. They dodged Trump's aerial strike force. The US Navy will have presented some Atlantic sea creatures with barbecued buffet. |
BarrElChapo:Count Pep out, most Spanish gaffers for that matter. They cannot handle egos and have a history of run-ins with players. |
Has to be an Italian gaffer. They are more accustomed to extremely difficult players. Italian soccer players are notoriously difficult to handle and I will recommend someone with a lot of experience, success and a great deal of respect in the person of Marcelo Lippi. |
Nemesis0147:How many times will I tell you guys, I don't support football teams. I am a fan of the game and of good football, and of a good story, not any team or any player. Arsenal was below par today. I'm sure the stats and player ratings will prove that. |
ajalawole:No doubt Saliba and Gabriel are a great miss. But it doesn't explain the poor performance today. Sure signs that the disease of mental frailty or should I say the mental grit of champions is still not there. |
michlins:Mentally not up there with the best. Now we can appreciate just how far ahead the duo of Saliba and his partner in crime are. Heads and shoulders. |
Blown the title race wide open. Once again. The Gunners and Christmas season blues. |
Odegaard is blunting the attack. Too slow in the build up. Said it many times. Eze is a better 10. |
commoditiesnig:Na so. Ask Hakeem Jeffries what good he has seen in Donald Trump's Republican government or Aunty Kemi about the Labour party. Abeg make una wake up. These are countries streaks ahead in good governance yet their leaders are not allowed to drink water and put the cup down. |
callthefred:Okay, fair enough. Ask Edolites how far. The Yuletide is coming. |
Guestmale:Oga, opposition is all about 'attack and antagonism'. Go back to your politics 101. That is what makes for democracy, the alternate view point always. The throttle has a role is pushing the ship of state forward. The brakes have a role in bringing the same ship to a safe stop. The public applies both as needed to move the nation from one place to the other. Tell me what the APC was doing between 2012 to 2015, praising and encouraging the PDP government?. No, they did their job very well and moved us away from a tardy and corrupt government. Nothing wrong with that. Today they all seem to feel a search for the next milestone is evil and we must all swim and sink with them. Haba. Be ingenious nau. |
Mathewrichard99:Yes, but people still queued up to vote these folks so the problem is not entirely leadership but a dearth of ideas and intelligence in Nigerians generally coupled with a lack of patriotism. In other climes it is the people who tell government how to do things because there is more intelligence and capacity in the citizenry than in government everywhere in the world. It is the people who set government agenda. And then they find the politician that can deliver it. That is how democracy works. Here we have exchanged think tanks for ethnic and religious conflicting. We have very poor national cohesion to solve national problems. |
MarkNsukkaBread:90 percent of security is intelligence. If there was police in the domain he operates he will find it extremely hard to move around unidentified and undetected. And with identification comes the latent question any half decent lawman will ask his neighbours, namely: 'what does that man do for a living'. A good number of criminals are caught this way in organized societies. Look, law enforcement in Nigeria is too far from the people they serve. Our present structure owes it's order to colonial rule. A response army of suppressors and order, not fit to effect the kind of intelligence led preemptive policing at the grassroots. The closest checkpoint or police patrol to that man is probably tens of kilometres away, if not hundreds. |
Poor governance. Distracted leadership. But that is what happens in governments that are not accountable to the people. They go walk about, shopping for things no one asked them to buy. The ordinary people just want peace and prosperity, but their leaders want the aggrandizement of expansion and conquest. This is the result. Once democracy doesn't exist or is non functional the people are doomed to suffer inextricably. |
A country that cannot solve any if it's problems. Just mediocrity everywhere you look. We have been with insecurity at these levels for two decades and no one knows what or who is behind it or what the end game is. Is this ignorance or complicity.... or buck passing or ostriching.... Every day speculations abound. A nation groping in the dark, rudderless, helpless like a blind man in a fist fight..,. getting socked time after time but wildly swinging in return....just sad. Just like in the first world war, to identify the position of the enemy is half the victory. Without that the battle ines will remain stagnant with significant losses over a long period of time. This is the horror of death by a thousand cuts. |
Btruth:Everyone above seems to agree with this position. So how did he get there if not by the collaboration of the (sorry but it only lends to the truth) 'worst' set of citizens at that material point in time. Good leaders don't fall from heaven. They are made by men, in the crucible of a society according to it's traditions, that is what they permit to happen. |
simplelad:Okay. Here it goes: The Negroid mind cannot form horizontal linkages to form viable, prosperous societies. This is the Executive Summary. |
Nonso92:Honestly I have my doubts. The device was probably intended for that motor park. The security agents had better get to the bottom of this so that adequate steps can be taken by the authorities of the park to beef up security. A false narrative can be very dangerous. |
It's a feudal society. What is there not to expect. Only if it can translate to good governance...but it can't because the allegiances are towards the king and his court, not the people. When you see these things you immediately know who they will serve. |
Is the chicken part of the costing?. If it is, then you may have been sold an AI generated, 3D printed bird of 'pray'..... ![]() |
ALLNIGERIANSMAD:If I'm not mistaken this is how it all started in Abuja. Guess they grabbed a powerful SAN or so and the rest as they say is history. |
Not sure about this. His injury record in not good. |
meobizy:Like opening your gates to allow the association of grasscutters to harvest your agbado. Downtown Tokyo will become like Ojuelebga. |
boxypane:Your statement is an unfortunate failure of citizenship. A total abdication of your responsibilities towards your own society. What will have happened to warrant shooting dead protesters. Did they attempt to seize the weapons of the police personnel. Did they attack the police with the intent to kill.... why will the police shoot at them. If you are not a government official or a police man involved in the killing why will you dare to cast doubt. Why are you folks always standing against your fellow citizens in their tough times. Why is it that Nigerians are always so selfish and find it difficult to sympathize with those who are seriously suffering from failure of leadership and failure of institutions. Is it a crime to speak out and protest poor administration and bad governance. If they don't protest can anything change for the better of it's own accord in Nigeria.... |
Is this not part of the 'disgrace' folks are talking about. |
To appear before Judge Judy....? Dis na the proper reality teevee... |
Meanwhile Leeds have opened up Van Dyke again. |
Noni has found a new jig at the Emirates.... ![]() What are they feeding him that wasn't available at the Bridge. |
Good goal to the gunners. Fine play from Noni. Odegaard has started against with his turn-turn cockroach football. If he likes he should not put any productivity in his play with goals to match and Eze will glue his arse to the bench. |
