Well she is in the land of the brave and the free. None of my business. |
Well in a certain, unfortunate way he is correct. Why will you agree to procreate and bring to this world the kind of men that say and do things like that. Is it not better to be sterile. |
Next thing, harassment lawsuits. Since we are talking race here it is safe to say, the black man never learns, no matter the number of worked examples presented before him. He knows he is gender disadvantaged and race disadvantaged. Yet he continues to take uninsured risks and then wails when it happens. |
Flyover for reelection.... ![]() |
franchasng:Invasion...war....see how it is just rolling off the tongue like some melodrama. While the reality is mass death, misery, economic ruin and irreversible destruction. Better get your head firmly on a swivel and think out peaceful, negotiated solutions. Human existence is not a video game. |
I have said enough about this nonsense. |
Eniitankorede:The last paragraph is not true. Tax is tax from wherever you get it. It comes out of the people at the end, not thin air. It is a zero sum game. Whoever joins the tax bracket is either producing something or serving someone. It will lead to higher costs anywhere it is imposed or captured. The tax debate is a simple one. And to me it remains a question of either 'spending' or 'investment'. If we are simply collecting more taxes to fund recurrent expenditure (which is mainly the case) then we are going nowhere and the economy wil simply not improve. But if we are taxing for direct investment or measurable improvement in government services then the people will see their tax naira working in real terms and wil be less resistant. Right now you can hardly see anything that is measurably better than previous regimes in terms of products or services that government offers to justify the collection of more taxes. |
The only problem with this is that he has to find A LOT MORE OIL to enable Dangote and others satisfy the Nigerian market independently and end importation of unstable priced oil. I understand there are lots of oil blocks sitting idle and unallocated. Dunno what the problem in the upstream sector is. But anyway the ideology is simple. All governments around the world are anxious about the cost of energy and the effects on their economy and no government out there does not actively seek cheaper energy either through front end or back end interventions. That is the whole premise of America in the Middle East. They not only want to guarantee supplies but prices as well. |
The only way this can succeed is if the brother has been in the business before. Then the next question will be, why does he require 'addutional' investment. From the above it is easy for anyone to deduce that, if the brother is a novice in the business and the additional pressure of a 'fixed' return is imposed (I don't know what the income structure of the business is), there is very little chance it will run smoothly for a prolonged period. I have heard countless stories of these kinds of interventions from clients, friends and family abroad involving everything from bikes, taxis, trucks, tippers and other mechanical equipment. It rarely works well. My advice for those abroad. Avoid investing in 'running' businesses, or cash businesses. Rather invest in fixed businesses. If you must invest in 'going' businesses do so as partnerships with your relations as a principal. |
Looks a lot better. |
oglalasioux:Hahahahaha.... economic emergency, run for your life.. ![]() But I thought they said the economy was improving. Why are people not quoting 'foreign reserves' when buying fuel....or they are waiting for Yankees' and Arabs to cease fire before they can go to work everyday or travel to their villages for the Yuletide..... Just hope the driver has enough cleanex and antiseptic to sanitize the vehicle before the the real medical emergencies come. Remember folks, when an economy tanks, HSE goes out the window. Health, Safety and the Environment. MCQ's..,..which applies in this case? |
Seyi8750:Hmmm....as if you are not living in Nigeria. As if you don't know how we got here as a country. Madam first lady and her government says things are getting better with the upper lip and gives out palliatives with the lower lip....madam, if things are truly getting better what is the point hopping from one venue to the other on a economic fire brigade. The whole economic thing is beginning to look so deliberate you will think recession is a political strategy such that the deeper the recession, the cheaper the votes. Such a pity. |
Racoon:They never see when they are at the table. Now that Mr. Osinbajo is out he has realized Nigerians have been eating and drinking poison to survive courtesy of the economy they continue to crumble. When he eventually leaves office Mr. Bayo will regain his eyesight. They have been preaching for citizens to adjust. They will soon leave the lee of 'the Rock' to face the 'consequential adjustment' of society. |
When an economy tanks....HSE goes down with it. Health, Safety and the Environment. Nigerians should fight for the right things to live a longer life in dignity. |
masterfactor:Iran has been sending weapons, logistics, technical know how and massive amounts of money to various insurgent groups all around the middle east and the Gulf from Yemen to Iraq, from Syria to Lebanon and permanently in Israel. Where did the Houthis get missiles and drones they are using.... on Ebay? They have even sent weapons to Nigeria and the intercept at the ports was widely publicized a few years ago. They are not innocently sitting in their country. Like the US they have been projecting power and actively supporting their own allies in these countries since the 1979 revolution which they actively wish to export to all countries that have a Shia population. You cannot be wailing everywhere that you are being fought by your neighbour while you are right there standing in his backyard. What are you doing there? Secure peace and let everyone return to his country and stop the meddling. Let the nations of the middle east come together, agree peace and send everyone home including the US. But as long as you continue to 'shoot' the tragedy is that you will be shot at. Gross foolishness and irresponsibility. |
Dogalmighty17:Well,.if you support rebel.groups and blame governments for fighting them as the key problem affecting global energy then do so across board. The Houthis want to divide Yemen just as Boko Haram or IPOB want a divided Nigeria along differing ideological lines. And if any of these groups received foreign backing in armaments and other resources and threatens Nigeria's oil production and shipping along the west coast as a result will this view still stand. Trump this, Trump that. In that region the Saudi government is the key ally of the Yemeni government and the US is a key ally of Saudi Arabia, so everybody in that region and beyond is poking its nose in everybody elses business. None is more innocent or guilty than the other. What sensible people do is to advocate for cessation and urge negotiations towards a lasting peace and not take sides and beat the drums of war, so that the carnage and destruction can be halted. |
anonimi:With refuse mounting at street level I will not trust the integrity of any public water supply from buried pipelines. Contamination is as easy as ABC. |
Had heart surgery yesterday.... ![]() Are these pictures before or after the surgery.... Because from the images...no CCT''s...no IV lines, at his age no breathing aid and certainly not in an ICU.... Well, sorry for your challenges, irrespective of your political views and position. Don't know you by the way. |
Effects of poverty. The consumption of unregulated, bootleg stuff. They tell you to manage, to adjust to 'economic realities'. You fall ill, you cannot afford proper medicare and medication so you resort to self help, cheap palliatives. This is the result. This is the 'adjustment'. |
Thatslife1000:But your principal continues to remind us that both he and the late Mr. Buhari are two sides of the same coin. So how can you as his attorney go to court when he has already confessed to the judge... |
Angelfrost:It's over for him. Football management has an expiry date. Soccer is performing arts and so all the talent fades and all the tactics stale. Great managers know when it's curtains and leave at or near the top, the proverbial 'when the ovation is loudest' One just did from Manchester City when he saw his prodigy steal the show. Diego wants to be embarrassed out and become embittered like Wenger...not the way to go. |
Banbanna:He already looked injured, sitting on his haunches in the last few minutes of the match with a worried expression....the lad has glass legs. |
Gyokeres looks so slow and heavy. Doing absolutely nothing on this field. Should be subbed at the half. |
Then stop going to their embassy to seek travel there to commit crime. The FBI is the lizard that is following your ant infested wood. |
...kai, na awa Presido una dey drag like unruly Taiga generator....oh boy...shey if the man return e no go serve Nigerians corporate punishment.... |
rossipki:Details of this 'development' pls. Where is all this money going. |
Nothing new. 27 years of democracy and the people are poorer, more insecure and more divided than when Mr. Abduldalami threw in the towel. Says so much about the choices of the average Nigerian....the depth of his intelligence. A country that constantly digs for the dregs should be content with the bitter taste of the bottom of the barrel. |
What if this happened in Osun state in the run up to the just concluded elections and youths were everywhere preventing other political parties and candidates from access to various communities....what if his happens in states where Mr. Peter Obi identifies with, his comfort zones...what will naysayers have said and will say respectively. It is bad precedent, illegal and unconstitutional. Totally unacceptable. |
LordLicifer:Today on Abuja radio it was about how almost every single food item in Nigeria is compromised. So compromised that people are virtually buying and eating poisons as staples to survive. Not a single food item in the market is spared. And then you hear some toddler citizens say and I quote, 'Nigerians are wicked, they will blame government but do these things to themselves...they should be arrested...' And I ask, arrested by whom? me..., you...? Are there enough prisons to warehouse all of society....because the entire market is completely compromised. Is this not state failure, society eating itself to death? Is this not because of the terrible state of the economy that people are looking for ALL MEANS TO SURVIVE, HSE (Health, Safety and the Environment) standards are gone. And cannot even be enforced because the enforcers themselves are desperate. So the people are the fuel, government is the vehicle taking us to certain peril. And unless we can break the cycle and get proper leadership in place we will continue to eat each other up. When government comes out and says we should adjust and people clap, that poor man or woman, too ashamed not to resist and speak out will go into his or her little room and use chemicals to make fufu or ripen fruits or try to preserve rotten meat or fish or change the expiry dates because that to him or her is 'the adjustment'. So let us continue to play. 'Oh, why is cancer becoming so common, or why are people dying prematurely...oh God help us..' And then you go to do exactly the thing that will kill you in employing your undertakers as so called leaders.... Shout out to former VP Yemi Osinbajo and his 'discovery' after his wife has been consuming 'unfit' orange juice. Now you will understand the linkages between your actions while in government to your lifespan or that of your wife in 3D...sorry oh'. |
Kingray10:As Nigerians continue to elect people without vision, mission and association, so they will continue to receive the kind of services they never ordered for. You cannot be purposeless with your actions at the ballot and expect first class service, or at least customized governance. You vote anyhow, you see anyhow. You vote after receiving a token and tokenism will be your experience for the next four years. You are cheap or cheaply used and they will discard you like tissue. You generally reap what you sow. Elections do have consequences. People have lost their businesses by employing the wrong staff. Nigerians have lost their economy and lost their dignity resulting by employing wrong leaders. How many townhalls did she and others attend with the Governor before voting him. Did anyone ask him of his plans for small businesses...and extract concrete plans and programs towards them... Kindergarten citizens will get crackers and soda pop. Adult citizens of other nations will get action towards prosperity because that is what they want. |
Depends on what you do. The basic difference between one and the other is the duration of use. For a moment in the rain, an umbrella. Working or walking in the rain, a coat. The former....not to get your hair wet,... ![]() The latter allows you to get your hands busy. |
I really don't like this kind of statement, '...done nothing for...' It really smacks of mischief and plays into the feudal nature of our polity. Cheapens the bearers and places a price on the heads of everyone involved. So you mean if you are called aside and 'settled' it will be okay....is this what democracy is all about...is this why people vote? Can you live and prosper in a society where you remain the only focus? Can a market exist with only one customer....? Folks, let us lift our eyes and visualize an ENVIRONMENT properly groomed, a NATION made great. This kind of posturing cannot take us anywhere. We have been doing this for 27 years and not getting better, haba. |
