I hope there was no petroleum products on board. It will be a collosal environmental disaster. This war is becoming something else. |
Game over. Best game so far this season. These are the teams to win the trophy. Very impressed with Chelsea. |
Angelfrost:The Galactico system is no longer working. The game has gone too tactical for big time managers to be busy stroking egos. |
Chelsea deserve something from this match..They have gone toe to toe. Improve their defending and they will be in the title run. They are miles better than last season. Alonso is a good coach.... Liverpool's loss. |
This Chelsea team is very, very good. They can get something at the Emirates. Arsenal appear a little out of gas. |
See the keeper folks were criticising. What a save from Saka. But I think Chelsea defenders need holiness skirts rather than shorts. Those balls between the legs are immoral.... ![]() |
Chelsea has managed the mini crises well and have recovered to put pressure back on the Gunners defence. Good team. |
Chelsea had better be very careful from here. They need to keep their cool and use their heads or else... |
Chai, what a goal. The defender there was like....I rather want to extend my holidays... ![]() |
blessedchild234:He's a lot, a lot better than what they had in Sanchez. So it is an improvement on the team. I particularly like Chelsea going forward and I think it is due to the absence of Enzo and Caciedo. I've always known them to slow down the game with ultra conservative play and seeing Enzo yesterday against Coventry, I really do not see what he brings to teams in terms speciality offensive or defensive play. The Chelsea set up is much better now without them. If they can work on the defence they will be titlists. |
Dynamicboss:Milling machine just grinding teams into dust. Keep them fit and they will win the UCL, no doubt. |
See Havertz.... |
Just glad Arsenal is losing. Disrespecting the ethos of the Premiership. You win, you strengthen over the summer. Three years without a quality number 9. All their competitors have made strides over them and bridged the quality gap. Something will eventually give. Today will be a serious warning. |
prinsam30:Just looking at that list...teeming with average and worn out players. Cannot give what they do not have. |
If you are looking at Manchester United with the eye of the Alex Ferguson years, know that that time iong gone. This club has attained comfort in the top half of the table. This club is no longer a solid contender for the biggest prizes in the land. They have lost that DNA completely. |
seunmsg:But Mr. Tinubu himself is not changing anything about Nigeria. Just name one thing that has fundamentally changed... Structure still the same. Institutions remain weak and unserviceable to the larger public. The economic model remains the same. Tax and spend. Collect and share. Rent seeking top to bottom. More contactors than producers. Campaign promises remain largely unfulfilled...what has really changed. These are the things that cause many to turn their backs on democracy and self whittle down their influence at the ballot by staying away and by the kind of despondency that causes men like that to throw in the towel. The present government should show good working examples of democracy in action to give his lines hope. |
PDPdestroyer:Racoon is like a mirror you folks don't like to look at because you cannot face the wrinkles. The mirror is not the problem. Care for your health and the wrinkles will go. Shut criticism up with good governance. If everyone is 'eating' you will not hear noise. Everywhere will be quiet just like Switzerland or Norway. Have you heard protests from those kinds of countries. |
Gbadugbakun:Foreign reserves do help. It stabilizes various economic tools that aid in investment decisions namely the exchange rate and to some extent inflation IF APPLIED (this government is not applying). Fiscal determination has been very good. It is the government side of things that remains a sore thumb. It just lacks ideas of how to restructure and grow this economy. Rent seeking remains a heavy millstone. People still see government as a cash cow for short term benefits and huge... absolutely humongous sums are still being fritted away mainly for political patronage. If these sums had been prudently managed and injected into the economy in a structured manner to address critical areas of productivity, job and private sector wealth creation, the economy will have been on its way back ever since. In a nutshell you take so much from the people BECAUSE YOU WANT TO REINVEST BACK INTO THE PEOPLE in a structured manner. In the most rudimentary form, it is like your down the road 'Contribution'....'Esusu'...or whatever. Resources are pooled to create financial mass to trigger economic explosion. The tragedy of this government has been the bane of Nigeria for generations. The terrible culture of SHARING....SHARING....SHARING is why we simply cannot develop no matter how much government extorts from the people. It has made a poor economic situation of corrupted subsidies to even more corrupted allocations, completely without accountability. |
Sirjamo:Oga. Strong economic growth is for prosperity. What else is it for. It is to bridge the gap between cost and affordability. Is there any economy in the world traditionally called 'strong' that the people are not part and parcel of. China is growing rapidly, so is the PPP of its people. It used to warehouse the largest number of the poorest on earth. No more. That shifted to India a while ago. Now that particular statistic is resident in Nigeria. This should concern you and the government you support. You should be asking them how to translate those infered figures into real, hard, on the ground data. The people have done the fasting. Now they want to see the 'light'. |
edogu:Glad you said some. When you start sampling the argument falls apart. When you want to make a case you use the largest number of cases possible. The same argument can be made for all the other painful scenarios. Some folks can live relatively comfortably with boils, lesions, rotted teeth till it fractures and falls out on it's own and serious infections. But we cannot use small sample to decide. Some ladies go through horrendous pregnancy pains, even the more regular menstrual pains their eyes literally pop out. Hey, tip to handle pain and keep going. For field folks only. Self inflict an even worse but survivable pain somewhere else to trick the mind while you seek redress. |
The one that stays the longest even with treatment because all can be moderated with anaesthetic. So it should be B and D. They take far too long. |
These 'Sicarios' are getting ever younger. |
Very poor City team. Has to do far better to win anything. The tactics are not up to scratch. |
These are the teams City should use to bulk up it's goal difference. Can't understand why there is very little striking. Maresca should realise there is only on goal in it and this is the Premiership. Anything can happen. |
There is a certain Bernardo Silva missing in this City team. Not too much creativity through the middle. |
Oh dear, what did Delilah do to Haaland... ![]() |
'The Hunt for Red October', one of my classics. RIP. |
MrPresident1:Well that is a serious change if 'she' is doing this on her own accord. Nigeria of the 80's this sort of thing came with the job. An official vehicle was part of the employment benefit in such an institution and not by the grace of anyone. A Bursar will typically have not just one but a couple of cars with a retinue of staff including drivers. |
Honestly poverty is a terrible thing. A higher institution just doing this....? In the 80's high school teachers were given vehicles, principal officers had two, sometimes three vehicles assigned with drivers. Granted that was over the top considering who they were and what they did for a living but today this country has completely like at its way and thrown everything concerning decent living away. So polarized it is now that it is either you are or you are not, have or have not....or steal and steal to have. |
oroje1:Leaders the world over don't formulate, sustain or alter policy directions based on the incomes or opportunities of their wives but the entire population of educated, uneducated, high income, low income, public or private sector and various age groups. In a nutshell the entire demographic. So look towards the proper indices that account for employment, disposable income, PPP, etc that describes ALL Nigerians. That is qualitative thinking, leadership if you may in a democracy that has equality as it's lynchpin. Millions are better off than me and I am better of than millions, the exact position in the spectrum I just donot know so I cannot use myself as a yardstick to decide economic theory. Rather I will use the least in society so that EVERYONE is covered. That is leadership. |
Winning elections is not my interest. It is what you do with the opportunity that matters to me. Successive governments have done a lot worse after elections than before or during. And the people are always in deficit because they just donot understand the workings of a functional democracy. |
Modern day hero. Together with his team literally saved this country from destruction. Should have been awarded the highest honour in the land. To this government, it is not too late. Rest in peace. |
