An Efik man was once a a leader of the eastern Assembly and A fulani was a mayor of Enugu. Igbo didnt shout, they were proud to give them a taste of authority.

Buhari and Abiola said same thing about how irrelevant Igbo people are.
We all know the result.
While one passed his anger to innocent corpers in the north by killing as many as he can, the other one was stopped by a so-called not-so-smart Igbo man from Oguta.

Politics › Military Take Over Power Stations Nationwide by Relax101(op): 6:32am On Nov 15, 2011
Soldiers Take Over Power Stations Nationwide!

BY VICTOR AHIUMA-YOUNG & NAOMI MGBAKOR
LAGOS — ARMED soldiers, yesterday, took over most of the nation’s power stations, including Egbin Power Station, as Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, workers threatened to withdraw their services.

This came as the State Security Service, SSS, invited the President and General Secretary of the National Union of Electricity Employees, NUEE, umbrella body for one of two unions in the sector, Comrades Mansur Musa and Joe Ajaero, respectively to Abuja for a chat today.

Meanwhile, a statement, yesterday, by the Power Ministry said soldiers would be deployed any moment from now to join policemen in guarding PHCN facilities across the nation.

Vanguard gathered that at Sapele and some other stations, there were clashes between workers and the armed soldiers.

The military takeover may not be unconnected with the controversy trailing reported physical due diligence being conducted on the power stations and installations by Dangote and 134 other power firms.

However, organised labour in the sector had dismissed the report and declared that there was no due diligence on the power stations.

Some of the power stations and distributions taken over by the soldiers are Sapele; Olorunsogbo in Ondo State; NCC Osogbo; Egbin; transmission stations in Gombe, Bauchi State; Ikeja West in Lagos; Ganmo in Ilorin; Birni Kebbi; Mando in Kaduna; Kano; Ayede in Ibadan and distribution stations in Doka; Gwiwa in Sokoto State; Osogbo in Osun State amongst numerous others.

Soldiers to assist police

The deployment, according to informed sources, is sequel to recent advice by the intelligence community to the Nigerian government to enhance security at “critical infrastructural facilities in Nigeria” as a result of the threat to national security by the extremist Islamic sect popularly known as Boko Haram, which wants the introduction of Sharia law all over Nigeria and regards western education as forbidden.

Troops from the Army, Navy and Air Force are to guard especially PHCN’s transmission and generation facilities, revealed sources in the office of the National security Adviser, General Andrew Aziza (rtd), himself a former Director of Military Intelligence and Chief of Army Staff.

The Minister of Power, Prof. Bart Nnaji, was on Sunday night informed of the Federal Government’s decision to deploy troops to protect the facilities and the workers, according to his Special Adviser, C. Don Adinuba, who added that “the minister has accordingly informed the PHCN Chief Executive, Engr. Hussein Labo, and the CEOs of the 18 PHCN successor companies, as well as stakeholders like the Senior Staff Association of Electricity and Allied Companies and the National Union of Electricity Employees of the development.”

It was also gathered that soldiers, who have been guarding high profile places in the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja like Sheraton and Hilton hotels in the wake of the Boko Haram attacks, are now deployed to big churches and mosques during service.

“It was soldiers,” stated a prominent worshipper who craved anonymity, “who yesterday provided security during yesterday masses at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church at Asokoro, Abuja.”

texazzpete:
Congrats!!
You have now succeded in destroying the arguments your brethren have struggled so hard to make. The hilarious thing is, you do not even know what you've done!

So now, we have the words of an educated scientist telling us that the famed 'Ogbunigwe' came from a failed project at improvising an extremely crude 'anti-aircraft' weapon.
I use the word 'failed' and 'anti-aircraft' because only in anyone's wildest dreams would that weapon have been able to bring down even the ancient Migs that was its primary target. It is doubtful if any of the fighters or bombers used by the Nigerian forces ever flew below 1000ft to be within the reported radius of the pellets thrown up by the 'Ogbunigwe'.
Of course with no automated aiming system and of course the unlikelihood of all conditions to align for even ONE particle to be sucked up into the air intake of a fighter jet, the weapon wasn't ever likely to bring down anything.

So now we've established that for its intended actual purpose, it was practically useless. Thanks, Relax 01 and Dr. Oragwu.

As for its use as an anti-personnel weapon, I can appreciate its lethality. But European nations have been using cannons with 'grapeshot' since the 18th century. Filling a bucket with directional explosive charge and shrapnel is a decent improvisation for a war time weapon. But it is not an example of extreme brilliance and is not a shining example of technological supremacy.

As I said before, the Libyan rebels came up with similar improvised weaponry out of neccessity. Welders created a 'tank' out of a bulldozer covered with welded metal sheets for armor plating. Welders fixed a tank turret to a Jeep! People strapped cameras to toy cars to make recon vehicles!

Thanks to Relax 101 for his input grin

With the completion, the State Government ordered all mechanics in the capital city to move their workshops to the village

The Enugu State Government has ordered all mechanics in the state capital to relocate to the Mechanic Village built for them by the government.

The State Commissioner for Capital Territory Development, Ikechukwu Ugwuegede, gave the order in Enugu on Friday.

"As we speak, the mechanic village is ready for them to move in. From next week, we are going to remove all abandoned vehicles which are clogging our roads.

"So we intend to make the roads that we have built with our lean resources available for everybody. Nobody is allowed to convert a residential lot into a mechanic activity because he or she has not gotten space from his union in the mechanic village,” Ugwuegede said.

He said that the ministry was in touch with the mechanic union for the provision of spaces to its members and had begun towing vehicles either wrongly parked on roads or abandoned.

The Commissioner also warned motorists against indiscriminate parking of cars, saying that offenders would be made to pay fines.

On the deadline for the movement, the commissioner said it was a continuous process as efforts were being made to provide more spaces for the mechanics.

He explained that the ministry was in charge of the development of local governments in the capital city including, Enugu East, North and South councils.

"Our job is to ensure that infrastructures provided by government are properly used. We want to make this city attractive and conducive for investors."

The capital territory development ministry is one of the four new ministries created by Governor Sullivan Chime’s administration in his second tenure.

I did not get your point, however, I'd describe the situation and hopefully, it should abstractly answer your question.

Ondo shares boundaries with Delta and Edo state.
Most of the disputed oil wells have already been given to the Bendel states.

Its gonna be very difficult to create strict boundaries, in a once fluid boundary. For instance, some might argue that Akoko Edo should be in Edo while other will say it should be in Ondo. Some parts of Itsekiri and Ijaw land is in Ondo while there are Ilajes in Delta. Trying to reawaken the sleeping dog will do foster a healthy relationship in that area.
Jason bring up the map of midwest region?

alj harem:
Very wrong, then I guess you did not read the articule then

Yes the Ondo edo and delta needs to revisited because if it was done based on ethni groups and oil wells then Ondo should really be twice it's size.

Bendel was a mixture of different ethnic groups of which each of them have lands, for example the Akoko people of edo state, the Ilaje people of delta state also the itsekiris of delta state

read this part just so you know it was not about oil

"Moreover, because parts of Bendel had gone to Ondo, there were five oil wells very close to the boundary. Initially, the Ondo people wanted the royalty to be shared 50-50 because they were very close to the boundary between both states.

That was in 1988. The following week, the  then Ondo governor  called a press conference and told the media that I forged the  map of Ondo – Bendel States to remove oil wells from Ondo to Bendel.
"

so Relax101, if at all there is any boundary dispute, then it should be the Ondo people fighting to have there land and oil wells back but NO, as you can see, there much to life than oil !!!!
Yeah, there's much to life than oil. Hope you will travel up north to tell your brothers.
Can you please bring up the map of the midwestern region?
