I made effort over and over to stop this killing. because i know the history of nigeria. I took a risk on my life. It look like the attacker where after southerners. and Igbo were just in the wrong path of their bomb. since they go to the Catholic church. Every southerner will agree with me , that I was right all the time, that the government was wrong. even you igbos online insulted me for what i was doing. I was only trying to help you people. Now you now see the danger in this. Just imagine if the Igbo people have voted me as president. See what the igbo got for not doing the right thing. When they killed Yorubas, you people kept quiet until they attack you. Cant you see , So you people must decide, To either support me or Jonathan Goodluck, If you support me, you will be safe. if you support the government, you all end up in a civil war base on nigeria history. now you people can believe me , that I nearly got assassinated when posting the satellite pictures.
![]() |

Idiots like OYB and Rhino will be the happiest human beings on earth. When the east starts, they will be the set of ediots to shout. The other fool amongst them will ask for proof of genocide. I wonder if Nigeria still at war with the people of the south east. This barbaric act should be condemned. |

Two nights ago, attackers suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, killed a family of three in Wereng Village in Kuru Station of Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State. Philip Francis, his wife Simi, and their young daughter Nera, were butchered to death around 11pm on Tuesday Dec 27th as they slept in their home. Philip's parents, who lived in the same house, survived the attack. The father was not around when the herdsmen came and the mother who slept in a separate room from the slain family managed to escape through the window to get help when she realised what was happeneing to her son, daughter in law and grandchild. The attackers fled after committing the dastardly act. No one could tell where the killers came from and why this family was targeted. Reacting to the attack, the special adviser to Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State, Mr. Ayuba Pam, said the government was very sad over the incident. “It is very sad that this happening at the time when government had intensified efforts and sustaining the peace in the State. When I got the distress call in the night, I was very disappointed at this pre-planned attack still persisting in the state. Government has kept faith in providing security but some people are still bent on ensuring that the problem in the State continues.” http://lindaikeji..com/2011/12/fulani-herdsmen-strike-again-in-jos.html

Igbo Youths Movement, IYM, yesterday lamented what it described as attempts by Boko Haram Islamic to cause disintegration in the country with the “Christmas (day) massacre’’ of Christians, saying the incident has put question to the survival of Nigeria as a country. In a statement by President of IYM, Evangelist Elliot Ukoh, and made available to Vanguard, IYM said “the strategically, well-rehearsed reaction-precipitate-indictment from certain quarters, blaming leadership failure only heightens the fear for the continued survival of Nigeria. “The desperation for power and unworkable unitary structure makes it impossible for any leadership to succeed”. “Christmas Massacre and Nigeria’s unity,” read, “The bold and emphatic statement made by the bloody Boko Haram sect to wit that religious and traditional leadership in the North has collapsed, is a very poignant message. “Boko Haram has finally succeeded in convincing the whole world that the North which prides itself in its ability to reign in all facets of its society and exact control is finally in total disarray. “Boko Haram has proven without doubt, that the revered traditional institutions, religious leadership and political elite have lost control of northern Nigeria. It is pathetic! “The reasons for the collapse of authority in the north is quite obvious: the struggle for the total disintegration of Nigeria by Boko haram is succeeding. ’’Tempers are high in the south and among the Christian community in the north. There are talks of reprisals and counter attacks thereby confirming the predictions by foreign powers in 2000 that Nigeria could disintegrate on or before 2015. ’’We all abused them then and told them to mind their business; we were too impatient to appreciate that they have superior intelligence about the mindset of certain Nigerians and they knew that the desire to enthrone Sharia Law was only being delayed by the running oil-wells of southern Nigeria. ‘’Now that the battle is on to destroy Nigeria’s unity, IYM suggests that we humbly apologize to those who warned us 11years ago. ’’ As Nigeria totters at the edge of the precipice, the IYM pleads with the Igbo community of Madala, Niger State to keep calm. We are with you in your sorrow and anguish, but please do not take the law into your hands. ‘’IYM reminds the Presidency that the agenda to paint the government as a failure in the area of security of lives and property is succeeding. The whole world is appalled. Will Nigeria survive as an entity? Will the present victims and future victims of Boko haram’s cold blooded massacre fold their hands and do nothing, accepting government’s platitudes? ’’If aggrieved groups fight back and Nigeria boils, will the country survive it? Will the year 2000 predictions about Nigeria’s disintegration on or before 2015 come true? Questions, Questions in search of Answers.’’ http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/12/boko-haram-planning-to-disintegrate-nigeria-igbo-youths/ |

Then Timothy Onyekwere left home with his family for Sunday Mass at the St Theresa’s Catholic Church the least thought on his mind would be to look for them service. With over 28 persons said to have perished in the blast, Onyekwere would not know whether his family have been consumed in the fire that resulted from the bombing. "We were in the church with my family when we heard the explosion. I just ran out," Timothy Onyekwere told Reuters. "Now I don’t even know where my children or my wife are. I don’t know how many were killed but there were many dead." Businessman Munir Nasidi was in a hotel opposite the church when the blast occurred. He told the BBC, "When I came out of the hotel, people were running around. Everyone was crying. They were bringing out casualties. Nobody was getting near the building as there was a fire." A Reuters reporter on the scene of the explosion close to Abuja saw the church’s front roof had been destroyed in the blast, as had several houses near it. Five burnt out cars were still smoldering. "The officials who counted told me they have picked 27 bodies so far," Father Christopher Barde, Assistant Catholic Priest of the church, said. There were scenes of chaos after the incident. "Mass just ended and people were rushing out of the church and suddenly I heard a loud sound ‘gbam’. Cars were in flames and bodies littered everywhere," Nnana Nwachukwu told Reuters. "The blast occurred on the road by the church and not inside the church. I happen to also live close by the church. Help was very slow in coming to the injured." National Emergency Management Agency spokesman Yushau Shuaibu told the BBC that the latest Abuja explosion had happened in the street outside the church. He said the church - which can hold up to 1,000 people - had been badly affected by the blast, and the number of dead was likely to rise. Witnesses said windows of nearby houses had been shattered by the explosion. Unconfirmed reports said emergency responders had been attacked by groups of stone-throwing youths. Officials at the local hospital said the condition of many of the injured was serious, and they were seeking help from bigger medical facilities. http://www.punchng.com/index.php/news/item/9158-i%E2%80%99m-still-trying-to-locate-my-family-%E2%80%93-survivor |
The February 2, 2012 burial date for Dim Chukwuemeka Odimegwu-Ojukwu will not change, his widow, Bianca, said on Tuesday. According to Bianca, the burial plans for the ex-warlord are on course. She said, "The burial activities will involve governments of all the nine states that were in the old Eastern Region." Ojukwu’s widow spoke when some members of the House of Representatives from Anambra State, led by Mrs. Uche Ekwunife, paid her a condolence visit in Enugu. Bianca said, "The burial rites will commence on February 2, 2012 in Enugu, after which there will be a journey home to Nnewi in Anambra State, where he will be buried. "Before his burial on February 2, 2012, there will be events leading to that time, about a week before then." The representative of Nnewi North/Nnewi South/Ekwusigo in the House, Chris Azubogu, however, said he and his colleagues would ensure that Ojukwu was immortalised immediately. "Ojukwu’s death has left very big shoes for any Igbo man to fit in. His death has affected so many of us. We in the House of Representatives will ensure that a monument is named after him," Ekwunife said. Ojukwu died in London on November 26. http://www.punchng.com/index.php/news/item/9163-no-change-in-ojukwu%E2%80%99s-burial-date-%E2%80%93-bianca |
Former Anambra State Governor Chris Ngige has warned that the recent spate of bombings can disintegrate the country. The Senator, who spoke with reporters in Alor, Idemili South Local Government Area said, "The trend of things now is dangerous and smacks of a threat to the unity and corporate existence of our dear country, Nigeria. This is a potent instrument of disintegration and nobody wants that to happen. "Whatever their demands are can be addressed peacefully and not resulting to violence. What they have done has given the matter a religious colouration and it does not speak well of our country. "No religious supports wasting of human lives. I urge the people involved to desist from such act because it is an ill-wind that blows no good." Ngige lamented that the Christmas season, which is a period of love, understanding and unity, had been turned into moments of bloodshed and arson, saying Nigerians should use the Yuletide to embrace peace and exchange love for one another. He called on the Federal Government to be proactive in handling contentious issues as security, noting that security of lives and property was a matter of urgent attention. Meanwhile, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Chief Victor Umeh, on Tuesday warned that Christians would henceforth rise to defend themselves against religious terrorists. Umeh, who was responding to the Christmas Day bombing of churches in Madalla and in Jos in which several dozens of people were killed, spoke at the dedication and inauguration of the St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Nkwelle, Awka. He said, "All of us are ready as soldiers of Christ to fight and defend our faith in this country." But Kaduna State Governor Patrick Yakowa called for prayers to save the situation from further degenerating. Yakowa said, "The church in the northern parts still require your prayers and support. We are still growing. Don’t be tired of praying for us." http://www.punchng.com/index.php/news/item/9161-ngige-fears-disintegration |
A group, Concerned Advocate for Good Governance, has expressed satisfaction with the reaction of the former Head of State and presidential candidate for the Congress for Progressive Change in the 2011 election, Maj.-Gen Mohammadu Buhari (retd.) on the recent bomb blasts in the country. Buhari had condemned the action of the Boko Haram sect which had claimed responsibility for the bomb attacks in the northern part of the country. Describing the bombings as heinous acts of terror, the CPC leader called on the people of goodwill to condemn the series of attacks in the northern part of the country. But speaking with THE PUNCH on Monday in Port Harcourt, the National Coordinator of the group, Mr. Olusegun Bamgbose, said Buhari’s comment on the blasts portrayed him as a patriotic Nigerian. Bamgbose explained that his (Buhari) remark on the ugly incident that killed many people in Niger, Yobe and Plateau States showed that the politician had risen above tribal and religious sentiments. "We are commending him (Buhari) for his condemnation of the blasts that rocked some parts of the North. Buhari’s condemnation of the barbaric act of the Boko Haram sect in totality shows that he has risen above tribal and religious sentiments. "One would have expected him to keep mute like some northern leaders on such a burning issue that affects the country, but he came out to express his disapproval of the bombings," he stated. Bamgbose, who is a constitutional lawyer, expressed the belief that President Goodluck Jonathan and Buhari would be able to work together in future in the interest of the country’s development. The leader of the group described those behind the dastardly act as agents of destabilization and destruction, even as he added that no amount of terror would destroy the country’s democracy. He said, "We want to assure Nigerians that the fire and the fury of the Boko Haram sect cannot consume this nation, but will refine it. If Nigeria could survive the civil war, certainly, we will survive this demonic onslaught. "Nigeria will come out of it strong and better. There is no way the recklessness of such a group would overwhelm the nation. Nigeria will definitely overcome her present challenge." http://www.punchng.com/index.php/news/item/9168-group-hails-buhari-over-comments-on-bomb-blasts |
The Cross River State Government has hired lawyers in the United States to sue rapper, Rick Ross, for breach of contract. The government stated this in a BlackBerry Messenger broadcast on Wednesday morning. Ross was expected to perform today at the Calabar Festival but failed to turn up for unknown reasons. The BBM broadcast reads, "Please be informed that Rick Ross has cancelled his performance at Calabar Festival after accepting full performance fee. "The rapper, Rick Ross, has issued a statement cancelling his performance at the Calabar Festival, scheduled for December 28, 2011, for reasons not related to his recent surgery and seizures. Fed Army got frustrated and targeted civillians. It's that simple. lol Now watch this guy. Mr Ola Arowolo from Ondo State. They were 100 fed soldiers but only 11survived. [flash=400,400] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_siGk_C01Qg[/flash] I wont reply you any further if you dnt accept that the killings were genocide. CyberG:The massacre didnt start in 1966. there were killings in Jos in 1945 and Kano genocide 1953. Nigerian army led by Murtala Mohammed that killed people 700 civillians would be the one to keep to laws wrt POW. Oh my,
+ 10 This people are just unspeakable Look at how freepeople/ freecocoa posing to be intelligent posted the most ideeiotic post on Nairaland I have been reading it since page 1 when the thread started and all I can do is shake my head till page 28, it is this Igbo and Yoruba nonsense. I agree that the yoruba brothers are mouthy which I always say but my Igbo brothers are mouthy and very very tribalistic. The thread starter was mischievous but I expected people to make fun of this thread and may be educate themselves on religious tolerance but as we can see, that was not the case. well make them continue. As for me, I see nothing to learn from the yorubas. If at all I want to learn anything from the yorubas, it is their carefree life style. The north has ALWAYS BEEN RELIGION TOLERATING even before the amalgamation of Nigeria. The Boko haram people don't represent an average northerner but themselves and Northerners have condemn them over and over again. The Sultan has also don the same.
The north is toelrant? kai! BY OKEY NDIRIBE ABUJA – Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has warned that acts of violence that are being unleashed in parts of the country can lead to retaliatory actions in which more innocent people will suffer. He also expressed worry that the unfolding situation could lead to the erosion of confidence in organized society and government thereby setting the stage for anarchy. This was contained in a press statement, Tuesday, by the former Vice-President’s Media Office in Abuja. Atiku further condemned last Christmas day bombings of churches in several parts of Northern Nigeria. Atiku while condemning the bombings and associated wanton destruction of lives and property at Madalla, Gudaka, Damaturu, Maiduguri and Jos said there is no cause that could justify the snuffing out innocent lives. The former Vice-President further stated that he has been deeply saddened by these acts of violence that have led to the loss of many lives. He expressed his profound and heartfelt sympathies to the families of those who lost dear ones and wished those that were injured a quick recovery. He called on Nigerians to give the authorities the needed support to handle the situation adding that all citizens eschew bias for religion or ethnicity and be good, kind and supportive of one another in this difficult period. The former Vice President also urged for a greater respect for the sanctity of life and differences in culture and religion. He maintained that enlightenment through education, economic empowerment and constructive dialogue are a panacea to stemming this cycle of blood-letting. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/12/christmas-day-bombings-atiku-warns-of-retaliatory-attacks/ |
