The issue of guyz not wanting their friends[best or not] to date their sister is like an unwritten rule.Usually they don't exactly have a concrete reason,it could be out of protection,not wanting their friendship hampered,or because they know their friends be better,they just feel it aint right.But really,unless your friend is up to no good,there's no need for the fuss now.Anyway i can understand your point.I wouldn't want my best friend to date my brother either but my reasons are different.I know he's a playa and i don't want to be roped into some heart breaking shit.You should know that what is gonna be,will be.If your sister gets to like him too,u just might have to accept it,

You would have saved yourself all the wahala if you didn't lead her on in the first place.Anyway sha if i were in your shoes i'd seat her down,tell how great she is,how i like her as a friend and how i know it would be unfair to hurt her.I'd tell her what i have to say would hurt her but it would be better than to deceive her,and i can't ever forgive myself for that.I'd tell her how much i've worked on my feelings for her so as to love her for real but it aint working[i guess our emotions can't be controlled].I'd tell her it won't be fair to hold on to what isnt going to be and if i do i'd be robbing her of a guy that would love her the way she should be loved and stuff like that.I'd tell her to pleeeaaasse find it in her heart to forgive and it was a tough decision for me to make,but it just won't be fair to decieve her. @papermoon I actually just read your story and i was moved by your courage.I don't think i'd have been able to do that.I have come through the trend of people doubting people's life stories on this forum and i think it would discourage people from sharing experiences that could help others.There's no need to banter words let people believe or don't,it wont change anything.I'd just go to the topic and give my opinion.Dating a married is absolutely wrong and i for one consider the moral implications as well as put myself in the shoes of the other woman.

Good looks are not of utmost importance in most.There are many other factors that could attract your date.Could be the attitude,personality,dressing,eloquence,intellect,financial status and more.There has to be something distinct,unique and peculiar about the date.You could meet girls who would find your introvertedness cute.Its not about what you look like but who you really are.

I'd save the whole nation because that includes my Mom,Dad,family and friends basically.I would not let go of all my loved ones for a loved one.Who knows,if i make the huge sacrifice,we may end up breaking up.I have not met a guy that's worth that sacrifice,if i do maybe i would.

Yeah i've seen suits and party dresses made with ankara,they look stunning.But i cant think of using it for something casual enough for school.Once my classmate wore an ankara gypsy skirt with a vest top,adorned with the right accessories and it was lovely.It was a good blend of the traditional and foreign,and it looked good for school.Got other ideas?

From the little i know gypsy skirts and accessories are in.I don't what you call it there but i call it Vest tops,i mean the singlet-looking tops are in too.Boot-cut trousers,roll-up three quarter pants.Big bags,sometimes colourful and really big.Beaded accessories and stuff,

Its convenient for me to be more Eurocentric than Afrocentric,so i haven't been successful in blending the two.As a student i get to wear my Jeans,tops and stuff during the week and at times on fridays i wear my traditional outfits.At a time i had a nice fitted shirt made with ankara which i wore with my black jeans and the combination was nice.For weddings,church and other ceremonies i stick with traditional attires since the better part of my dressing is"eurocentric".

I would have a tatoo if i was crazy about it,but am not.I don't think its wrong cos its a fad.A fad i feel would be out with time.If i ever get to love tatoos i'll get the temporary one cos i won't want to have to explain to my kids that it used to be a fad,when they think its a blemish and a silly fashion.My grandmother had her name tatooed on her legs and she did it in the name of fashion,but when i saw it i couldn't exactly appreciate or understand why she did it.
