However, if its hard to avoid sticking your nose, you could ask your friend what reason/s he gives for not wanting a court wedding and her reason for wanting it at all cost, weigh the response and give your advice based on that.

They should have a say but shouldn't impose or try to make decisions for their children.

Every single day, Nigerians insult Nigerians. We call ourselves corrupt and all that. It's okay if we do that but when someone else is saying it, then it is big news. We don't need Oprah to make us look bad, we already did that ourselves and we keep doing it. Maybe Oprah should have stayed out of our business, but we make it her business when we carry out fraudulent acts outside the shores of the country. I didn't see the show but i wanna believe Oprah didn't actually say all Nigerians are corrupt. No intelligent person would make such a generalization, so if she did that means she's not as intelligent as i thought.

Why do people tell lies?Because the truth hurts!!!! Seriously though am sure there are a million and 1 reasons y ppl lie.Its just one the numerous sins of humans.Like many other sins,we know its wrong but we keep doing it.It hurts when lied to but its a vicious circle.The one who hurts from being lied to would at some point lie to another and it goes on and on.

I just wanna add this to my previous post. My dictionary defines irony thus;a method of humorous or subtly sarcastic expression in which the intended meaning is the direct opposite of their usual sense[the irony of calling a stupid plan clever].Sarcasm is however defined as a taunting,sneering,cutting,or caustic remark;gibe or jeer generally ironical.In essence irony has elements of sarcasm and vice versa.I wasn't even considering one as a type of another.

@wesleyan,are you giving the dictionary definition or ur personal definition?Anyway i checked my dictionary first and the dictionary is "Websters New World Dictionary"2nd college edition.Besides as a language student have had to deal with the two words frequently.So i'll stick with my definition for now.
