If salaries remain constant during inflation, then earners would be At the loosing end 'cos their financial rewards won't have much value... in short, the purchasing power of salaries would decline if there's no increment during inflation... think about this...
The inflation is not employers fault really and they don't owe increament to inflation. They only owe workers increament when profit increases.
Agriculture › Re: With the current price of rice, Why Is There still Ban on Importation Of Rice?? by RepoMan007: 4:25pm On Nov 06, 2022
I was expecting a serious govt to block export, use the flood as an opportunity to visit genuine farmers and get their details for as part of effort towards better farming next year.

I notice something in Nigeria, we have a bad reward system for services rendered by the 3 cadres of labour... a good reward system should be dynamic, salaries should increase with respect to inflation...
that's impossible. Take FG for example, can inflation help increase the money the FG makes from crude sales?
It can't and therefore FG has to maintain salary level while inflation takes effect.
Agriculture › Re: Inflation Vs. Salary Increment: The Current High Cost Of Onion In Nigeria by RepoMan007: 4:02pm On Nov 06, 2022
If you work for the onion producing outfit where you can be certain company earning has gone up pro rata the price of onion, then fine.
If you work in a school where the fees, and by extension, the revenue, is still the same, then you are asking for a sack letter and not increment.

It is more sensible of the squeezed worker to start onion farming on the side to augment his 50k salary.

Your salary is not a function of your expenses. The dynamics of every outfit are different.

How nigerians pretend like all is well is a misery to me.

Nigeria is getting poorer and things are expensive yet people act like is normal....

Well as for me all i see is a country that will go worse than it is now. Nigeria will never get better if we keep pretending
it takes strength to complain and people will only take steps when complaining becomes harder than surviving the obvious hardship.

judedwriter:
In the biblical days, there wasn't anything as dating or even courtship.

People just go ahead and marry.

It's when people began discovering the complexities of marriage, that they started introducing dating and courtship as alternative and preparing for marriage respectively.

Courtship isn't biblical!

If you like someone, go ahead and marry! God doesn't have a specific person for you, He may have His choice though.

Love will solve any problems that emanate after grin

Love is key o. If you don't love, no try marriage
Can you define love?

Have you seen what has happened to naira since the announcement?
Naira in free fall from 740 to about 900. The best emefiele could do was to use EFCC to harass the BDc's. Even if it's not ill meaninged, the timing can make it all wrong. Plus you cannot just trust this evil government to do such a thing as this 4 months to the general elections outside political reasons.
Emefielenomics and Buharinomics is the worse combination Nigeria could ever have. Two dummbass!
Emefiele is not our problem.

Nigeria has opportunities but pray not to see the bad side. If you escape potholes on high speed, police barricade caused accidents, accidental discharge, kidnappings, highway robbers, catastrophic healthcare(rare), household enemies, and a corrupt system, you are lucky.

APC is incompetent but they did not cause global warming that triggered floods and destroyed harvest.
APC is quilty for allowing bandits impose harsh ransoms on farmers but not for flooding. There was flood under PDP and I wonder what they did differently. Obi was under PDP and couldn't muster any meaningful effort.

Twitter and stripe lay off approximately 50% and 14% of staff today respectively. More firms plan to do so in the coming months(foreseeable recession).

How do you feel at your workplace?

What's the situation there?
some of those laid off will be replaced by new inexperienced hands on lower pay and less steeper pay increase curve.

In Africa there is a strong consciousness that a life can hold some kind of key to huge wealth and the prospects of unlocking such a potential 'occultically' encourages animal ranch-like breeding habits from humans.

Buddha3:
I have worked with the Red Cross Society of Nigeria as a field survey agent for about 3 years, covering regions between Nigeria and Cameroon, and I can confidently tell you these statistics are either false or a deliberate attempt at mischief.

The number of children Nigeria loses to malnutrition daily can be significantly pegged at 90 - 110. This is of course not an absolute conclusion, cause the figure dances either backwards or slightly forwards. Much as it is regrettable and most of us look forward to days when leaders can do better to change the status quo, it is no yardstick for anybody or organisation to paint Nigeria in a bad light for any reason.
APC agents.

Buddha3:
Much as we all agree the Buhari administration has failed woefully in certain key aspects of our societal existence, this report is a profound and monumental lie!

Yes, there's the scourge of malnutrition in Nigerian children, mostly in the rural regions, but these figures being brandished in this annoying report are very distant from facts. If hundred children die every hour, do you realise Nigeria should have run short of the child population in just 3 months?

Please, you people should stop painting Nigeria as the next alternative to hell fire! Even Yemen that is war torn cannot be described with these kind of stupendous statistics.
100 per hour gives about 800,000 a year.
