Bollinger:I have to agree with your position, judging from historical events in the US. However, it is yet to happen with Donald Trump. At least, I can tell that the American economy currently has good performance indicators. The Republican party is only trying to call a dog a bad name in order to slaughter it. This budget deadlock has more political undertone than national interest. I have to say too that Trump is not helping matters because he is not building bridges..... |
Bollinger:It is largely why the American democratic experiment is very advanced. Leaders are held accountable for errors or omissions by paying the consequences their actions generate. Because of the political naivety of Trump, democrats are now pretending to be nice guys, a posture that will be tested when they get a shot at the White House again. However, I still maintain that Democrats are petty.... |
Trump will frustrate them whether they clap front or forward... Petty Democrats |
Lajet:You are a misguided commentator or perhaps, your opinion is laced and forged in hatred and jealousy. Please, abandon this your prehistoric orientation. Your comment make you appear as if you are an indigene of the above mentioned Six States. My brother, relax your nerves and learn just in case you're ignorant of the Ijaws in Akwa Ibom. No matter how hard you and your likes try to paint the Ijaw nation bad like the Governor opined, your lies will never last because truth will tear through with time. How old are you sef, historian? What is your competence level in history? How good is your academic competence and exposure? Na U know say Ijaw land start and end for Bayelsa.....warp reasoning. Your opinion of the Ijaws is inconsequential, it is irrelevant in modern day civilization. Ijaws will continue to play the Big Brother role in the Niger Delta region needed to advance and protect the region, including you. Before I go, go start your history class with the people of Ibeno in Akwa Ibom. Shalom |
What's up with politicians and begging people to contest election? A right thinking man that knows what he is doing don't need anybody to tell him to contest election. It is either Buhari is not right thinking or Okorocha and his friends are trying to be stupid. |
ideology:Very true |
He is laughing because of the man's accent What a specious laugh! Politicians will always pretend around their Oga to make them feel good. If it were to be Kim Jung Un, the man will laugh more than this......rubbish post |
Daxn:4K that he does not pay regularly. He is still owing me three months.... Sluggish Governor |
Madam, these your breasts will not allow you to do that.....don't lie |
Extra judicial killing. It is a good thing that he died for the crimes he committed but then, breaking the law to enforce the law is a criminal offence too. Nigeria is indeed a lawless country, and funny enough most Nigerians love it that way... |
Atlanticfire:The Itsekiri nation is known to suffer from Inferiority Complex. This charade of an article is one among the many shenanigans of the Itsekiri nation to curry public sympathy. History is there to remind all of us that Great men, and Great Nations only prove their worth through their actions. As long as the Niger Delta region of Nigeria is concerned, the Ijaw nation have shown times without number that we are a great nation through our actions, despite our many adversaries. They call them fishermen, tenants, aliens, herdsmen of the South etc yet no one has been able to box the Ijaw nation to a corner. Height is not attained in a day, and once it is acquired, it hardly goes away when consciously maintained. The Itsekiri nation ought to know by now that the Ijaw nation is their bigger brother and will continue to play that role despite their litany of provocations. They instigated the Warri crisis with their One Kobo Olu of Ode Itsekiri, but learnt a bitter lesson. That event did not deter the Ijaw nation from extending their hand of fellowship to their belligerent neighbour. Freedom is not shared, rather it is taken. The Itsekiri should bear that in mind and work towards it, rather than continue to whine like a child whose lollipop was snatched by an inconsiderate man. Spartacus, the Thracian warrior once said, those who place heel on the throat of liberty shall fall to the cry for freedom. If the Itsekiri nation so much love the Yorubas or the Bini people, they can as well move their belongings to Oyo state and occupy there. I am sure, the forest between Iseyin and Eruwa/Igbo Ora in Oyo state is enough to contain them. Finally, to the OP, if you want to discuss about Okerenkoko, spell it correctly. Because Okerenghigo is not known to the Ijaw nation. God bless the Ijaw nation, and all those that wish them well.... |
Doyin, the loose cannon... Nigeria may never get well judging from the wicked nature of our elites. What amazes me is how the weak and vulnerable still fight to protect the interests of these sons of the devil. They are even here..... |
This man phony character did not go with 2017? Anyways, Nigeria now is the Living versus the Dead. Current Score: Dead 8: Living 0 |
Promise delivered indeed. Buhari even with his deaf ear will lose sleep over this. |
OP, thank you very much for pointing it out. But the problem is that those that are ready and willing to fight get maimed in the process, and the same people they fight for are the first to cast aspersions on them. You will hear statements like, the guy na mumu o; na only him the thing touch? Abi na hin like naijeria pass? E don tay wey naijeria spoil etc. OP, you see, we are not only cowardly in nature but also stupid in some regard.... The above is aside the role played by religion and ethnicity.....this is our son, that is our brother, a threat to this individual is a threat to our......nation. I salute the Iranian people for standing up in the face of glaring evidence that they may get killed as the days go by, yet they are not deferred. A Nigerian is always ready to sit on his butt, lie on his abdomen, go on his knees to complain as long as you don't take his phone away.... |
The Bishop is wrong. This statement clearly shows he is not in touch with modern democratic tradition. Buhari is the symbol and embodiment of our sovereignty as a nation, and as such is responsible for whatever that occur during his reign. Mr. Bishop, is there anywhere all citizens do their jobs well? If there is, then there is no need for government. Even Bishop does not do his job well that is why he prays for forgiveness of his sins. Bishop, if Buhari is kidnapped or assassinated in a foreign country, it is the whole of Nigeria that will go to war with that country, so why say we should not blame him for our predicament. I recommend POL 111 for Bishop |
It is just a belief. The candle is to light up your way into the new year. Back then in my village, people light candles even on graves.... The sight of the candles is beautiful though |
t00dugged:Compliments of the season May the coming year favour you.... |
TheHistorian:Lol....I don't even understand why they do it. This is suppose to be an adult site. I stand to be corrected though. |
Good This thing sweet me well....lolz I am happy that it did not take long for APC as a party to show its special brand of wickedness, stupidity, and unbridled vacuity. APC has been demystified with their actions, but the length and height of stupidity is a Mystery again. No wonder Gov. Yahya Bello is what he is. His Chief of Staff is very uncouth, ill mannered, bad tempered, uncivilized with prehistoric orientation that is dangerous to modern democratic culture. Kogites go see pepper mixed with aboniki and loco. How some people believed former members of a party they strongly despise (PDP) will perform magic is something to study.... Someone up there even suggested his account is hacked.....lol, someone should wake him up |
surgical:My brother, the bold is not even enough. The deserve to live all their days in misery.... |
dodelight:My brother, it is the same reason some people don't care whether Yusuf lives or dies. To them, what is happening to the first family is what an average Nigerian see on daily basis. All those that died as a result of the unending mistakes of this present administration will always wish for the same fate to befall the man that is responsible. I pray for the recovery of the other bike man.... |
This man is a disgrace to Professorship. A supposed religious organization fighting to represent the media arm of a government. No matter his likes try to colour the truth, most Nigerians know better now, except for himself and the social media automated mumus. Is it Nigerians that forced the government to appoint dead people? Is it Nigerians that created the present hunger, starvation, hopelessness, scarcity of virtually everything that is currently ravaging the country? This man is very lucky that like myself, he is talking from the comfort of his home. If not, angry Nigerians would have made an end of year blow festival with his body. Loose cannon of a professor. The calamities we face as individuals, and as a nation, shall never avoid the dwelling place of all those that lock their conscience in a box to add more salt to injuries..... |
One of the most corrupt agencies of Government |
Incredible transformation |
ernieboy:I am surprised you didn't discover earlier than now that BOY is not amenable to reason. People like him creep into every thread to display their prehistoric orientation and crass ignorance to the full view of the general public. |
NgeneUkwenu:Those that really do well don't visit nairaland on daily basis to say irrelevant things. I am sure you know where that places you..... |
NaijaElba:My brother, you talk as if you are the Man that Knows Tomorrow. Your earlier submission is just a conjecture like every other writer on this topic, so in my opinion that denies you the right to describe those that gave varied opinion as useless and unintelligent. This is a public forum so we should not melt down when making presentations. What you think you know may turn out to be the converse of the truth, after all, 2019 is still in the distant future, and believe me, so many things are yet to come to light. Good evening |
bright007:Have you not asked yourself why your chiefs buy land from the natives of Gelegele? My friend, there is no judgment that gave the entire area to Bini |
bright007:Your response shows you are not well informed, and you don't have regard for decorum and decency. The first case was decided in favor of the Ijaws until your people, particularly the Oba arm twisted the judgment of the Appeal court and subsequent judgments. @bold, what hole are you referring to? Who is beating drums of war? Or is it that you have selective understanding? You don't have to sound uncouth to drive home your point. Let me add, Bini people have a proclivity for reaping what they did not sow |
Jesse01:You don't respond to individuals that are shameless in their line of thought. History is there to tell our story, it is sheer hypocrisy that is instigating this latest move by the Bini people. Why would a king fight to rule people that are not his subjects, if not for political and economic reasons? The beautiful part is that, the Ijaw nation is too big and too strategic for the Bini people to handle or box to a corner. |
