Chimamanda Adichie's husband, Ivara Esege, is Nigerian |
Did someone call my name? |
Keshi explained a while back that he wasn't picking Ike Uche because he had a bad attitude and criticised the team tactics whenever he was left on the bench. Keshi also said explained Ike did not buy into the team ethics of All for One and One for All, in other words he adopted a individualistic attitude. I think we could clearly see from Ike's body language during the nations cup that he wasn't in a good frame of mind because he clearly looked out of sorts, probably because Emenike had taken his place as the main man. I hope he changes his attitude so Keshi picks him for the world cup because, as Keshi himself said, he is a excellent finisher. |
Yes, indeed, the competition for places up fron in the super eagles team is fierce. Keshi should not make the mistake of taking Ideye Brown. I think 4-4-2 is Nigeria's best formation and I suggest he tries to replicate the formidable attaching team we had in 1994 by picking 8 forwards (2 centre forwards, 2 secondary strikers, 2 right wingers and 2 left wingers) as follows: Centre Forwards: (2014): Ikechukwu Uche (Substitute: Bright Dike) (1994): Yekini (Substitute: Efan Ekoku) Second Strikers: (2014): Emenike (Substitute: Shola Ameobi) (1994): Amokachi (Substitute: Samson Siasia) Right Wingers: (2014): Sone Aluko (Substitute: Ahmed Musa) (1994): Finidi George (Substitute: Victor Ikpeba) Left Wingers: (2014): Victor Moses (Substitute: Victor Obinna OR a midfielder) (1994): Emmanuel Amunike (Substitute: Not sure who would have replaced Amunike if he had been injured or substituted) I think think the above 2014 forward line would end the goal draught we had at the confederations cup and in some of the African Nations Cup matches, although we won the ANC we didn't seem to score as freely as the 1994 winning squad. |
http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/football/liga/2013-2014/rayo-vallecano-villarreal-cf-631744.html Nice one. Keshi, please pick Uche for the worldcup, the boy is in top form and has now scored 9 goals in 15 matches in La liga. Emenike has scored 8 goals in 16 matches, so right now these two are Nigeria's best strikers. I believe they can play together and if we can get them to gel well then Nigeria will be lethal at the worldcup. I can't wait. ![]() |

Yes, you have a good point about the need to market more effectively, however, I think the Imoke administration is having great success attracting foreigners because the giant US company GE recently announced they will be investing $1bn in the state and several other international companies have chosen to invest there. The future seems bright for CR. See the investment video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BEJDeZ6LBA |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2093Dot14Q Duke and Imoke are men of vision. If only other politicians (apart from Fashola and 1 or 2 others) in Nigeria had strategic long terms plans for their state and the nation. |
How do society, culture and family influence our career choices as Nigerians and how can we break the mould but still succeed? The guest on this episode of The Bottom Line, Ngoli Okafor, is a computer scientist turned boxing champion, model and actor and has proven that with the right attitude, dedication and hard work we can achieve our dreams against all odds (including age). http://greatnigeria.tv/video/219/The-Bottom-Line-Ngoli-Okafor |

To which Buchi promptly replied, "I don't agree with that" and gave the example of Bode George who got only 30 months, and was celebrated on his release, and Cecilia Ibru who got only 6 months. Constrast these with Madoff in the US who got over 100 years. Great interview: http://greatnigeria.tv/video/213/The-Bottom-Line-Mrs-Farida-Waziri |
This is how Nigeria should be. Let's get rid of bigmanism for ever.
|
Nigeria could indeed have a ballot box revolution but voting out an incumbent president and party for the first time in the history of the nation. Won't you agree that would be a revolution? |
why? ![]() |
the revenge of the poor. Do you agree? Fascinating interview. Watch it on GNTV: http://greatnigeria.tv/video/201/The-Bottom-Line-Prof-Pat-Utomi |
This is FANTASTIC news. China and Nigeria are building one of Africa's largest free trade zones in the commercial capital Lagos, to be used as a manufacturing base for export to Africa, and even Europe. This is great news for manufacturing in Nigeria. Maybe those who can speak Chinese will be given first priority when they start employing staff to work in the trade zone. ![]() See story here: http://greatnigeria.tv/video/193/China-Nigeria-Free-Trade-Zone |
No. Simply because he will do a better job than Jonathan, Atiku, Buhari and Atiku. It's that simple. |
Great interview: http://greatnigeria.tv/video/153/The-Bottom-Line-Mallam-Nasir-El-Rufai El Rufai says we should select leaders based on track record and competence but went on to say there was a Zoning arrangement and Jonathan was the product of it and shouldn't be denying it existed. |
I like this guy and think he will make a good President. http://greatnigeria.tv/video/152/The-Bottom-Line-Promo-2 |
Can Nigeria draw a line in the sand and mark the 50 year mark a significant truning point? The point when we look back and say that was the beginning of the breakthrough to Nigeria's economic superpower and greatness. We can do it but we need to learn to protest and resist corruption and incompetence in Governance. How come no one has protested and marched against the N10bn being spent to celebrate the 50th anniversary? http://www.greatnigeria.tv/video/127/Africa--States-of-Independence--Nigeria |
Abeg, add Ribadu name to dis poll. |
Don't show your Nigeria on CNN. Show it on www.greatnigeria.tv |
Soyinka was impressive in the interview below. As the conscience of Nigeria, shouldn't we give his new party a chance? We keep complaining about the PDP and the corrupt elite in the corridors of power but fail to support any credible alternatives. http://www.greatnigeria.tv/video/118/Professor-Wole-Soyinka--Nobel-Laureate |
Fetus Keyamo, in an explosive interview with GNTV, accused Ribadu, by failing to declare his assets, of failing to live by the standards by which he held others to account. He challenged Ribadu to make public the affidavit he swore when he declared his assets as he claims. He also claims the 2011 elections have been rigged in advance. Strong allegations. Do you agree? http://www.greatnigeria.tv/video/116/The-Bottom-Line-Festus-Keyamo |
Explosive interview with Fetus Keyamo. He accused Ribadu of hypocrisy by failing to declare his assets, while he was arresting others for other crimes http://www.greatnigeria.tv/video/116/The-Bottom-Line-Festus-Keyamo |
Why do we not pick people like him for president. He would be a president to be proud of. Don't you think? |
