My guy you call farming poo? I wonder the kind of youths we have these days. You have just shown to all that you are one of those who want to live big without working hard. So pathetic! Let me tell you something, the way forward for this country is agriculture and industrialisation. No more spoon feeding of any group of people, we all must put efforts to move this country forward.
Good advice for the indolent.

APC: What manner of change?

The APC has been consistent in saying that the PDP has ruled Nigeria for 16 disastrous years in which corruption, impunity, insurgency, armed robbery and several ills of society held sway. But a very close look at the APC, I am seeing

* Amaechi - 8yrs speaker; 7yrs governor under PDP,

* Atiku - 8yrs Vice president under PDP,

* Akume -8yrs governor under PDP,

* Bukola Saraki - 8yrs governor; 2yrs Senator under PDP,

* Timipre Sylver -4yrs governor under PDP,

* Audu Ogbe - 2yrs chairman of PDP,

* Aminu Masari - 4yrs Reps speaker under PDP,

* Chris Ngige - 3yrs governor under PDP,

* Kwankwaso - 7yrs governor, 3yrs Defense minister under PDP,

* El-Rufai - 4yrs FCT minister, 2yrs BPE chairman under PDP,

* Oyinlola, 7 and half years governor under PDP,

* Segun Oni, 3 and half years governor under PDP,

And to cap it all they went to OBJ begging, a man who they claimed spent 8 of the disastrous 16 yrs as the maximum ruler of Nigeria to come and lead them on a rescue mission.

It is now clearer that APC is a waste basket of the PDP, where the people who created and perpetuated the "16 Disastrous years" are now dumped.

Please Nigerians what is the change in this APC?
Politicians have been deceiving Nigerians since the time immemorial, now they have invented a verbal logo...from power to change. Pity Nigerians!

May God save Nigeria from being sunk by those devils. Agents of Satan are working seriously against the coming kingdom of God. But at the end they will be destroyed by God himself.

They are now everywhere in the world causing massive destruction of lives and properties. They seem to be winning the battle, not knowing they are widening their graves and increasing their population in hell.

Christianity Etc › Re: Sunday School Lessons: What Do You Gain To Share With Others? by Rexyl(op):
Why Christ Came
The coming of Christ was not by accident. It was God's plan to redeem people unto Him and save human souls from eternal destruction. God gave revelations concerning Christ's coming and his humble beginning to some prophets of the Old Testament. Galatians 4:4,5 - When the fullness of time was come God sent forth his son, made of a woman, made under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. We have the followings for discussion: The Timing of Christ's Coming; Purpose of Christ's Coming and Benefits of Christ Coming.

Timing of Christ's Coming: God could have sent his son at any time of the old testament revelation, but he chose to send him in the fullness of time, that is, the time suitable for His purpose (Galatians 4:4). The coming of Christ coincided with the time of modernisation of transportation and communication systems by the Roman Empire. It was the time Greek was widely adopted as the official language. The timing of Christ coming wasn't haphazardly planned by God.

Christ's mission was to bring salvation to the world and release people under the bondage of law. Though the law reveals God's holy expectations it can't make people righteous. Jesus stated that he did not come to destroy the law, but to fulfil it (Matthew 5:17). God sent Jesus as the perfect representation of Himself to save mankind from guilt of breaking the law. Jesus is described as the true manifestation of the nature of God, the only One that makes it possible for anyone to see God (Hebrews 1:1-3).

The appropriate date of Christ birth was not recorded; he was born in a lowly place and his birth did not attract fanfare. The time of his birth seemed to be insignificant, but events that took place affirmed his birth place according to God's revelation (Luke 2: 1-7).

Purpose of Christ's Coming: He came to redeem those under the Law. The Law cannot save people or purify their hearts from effects of sin. Therefore Christ was made a sacrifice to deliver people from sin and its consequences (Galatians 4:5). Believers are given the freedom to be members of God's family through Christ's sacrifice. God promised to meet needs of those who are in Christ (Philippians 4:9).

Christ came to establish the eternal kingdom of God. He was revealed to Prophet Isaiah as the Wonderful, Counselor, mighty God, The everlasting Father and the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6-7). All these attributes describe the eternal nature of Christ and lasting peace of reigning with him. Before he was born Mary received the revelation that he would not be ordinary Child, but the son of God, "Son of the Highest" (Luke 1:32&33).

Christ came to defeat Satan. It was foretold that Christ would become the seed of woman, and his mission would be to destroy works of the devil. The devil would bruise Christ's heel, but Christ would bruise his head thus, defeating him and his purposes (Genesis 3:15; Hebrews 2:14). While the final defeat of Satan is yet to come those who are in Christ can still experience victory over him (James 4:17).

Benefits of Christ's Coming: Believers are redeemed and reconciled to God. Those who are in Christ are accepted into the family of God and given the power to be His children (Galatians 4:6&7). Being made a child of God is not a licence to ignore His holiness and justice. He must be honoured always.

Our sins are forgiven if we are in Christ. This is one of the reasons for his sacrificial death. Our sins separated us from God and made it impossible to fellowship with Him, but through Christ we were brought back and made acceptable to Him (Hebrews 9:26-28). Christ is coming back to complete his redemptive work and establish his eternal kingdom. To God be the glory. Lesson Texts: Gen 3:15; Isaiah 9:6&7; Luke 1:32&33; 2:1-7; Galatians 4:4-7; Heb 1:1-3; 9:26-28)

Those Terrorists must have fully prepared for long time... maybe 10 to 20 years for their evil before they finally struck. As many of them as being killed daily or weekly they still manage to regroup within very short time and wreak another havoc. Why can't their identities be traced to their family backgrounds. Their increase might due to readiness of concerned families to donate at least a warrior for the Islamist army.

Dear Christians, Stop celebrating roman god called mars! DEC 25 is a date assigned for its celebration not d birthday of Jesus.
Don't worry, even if the day was meant for an idol celebration before, now the blood of Jesus has redeemed the day to mark the most glorious thing that has happened to the world - the coming of Christ into the earth. Let the earth and heaven rejoice as we worship God for sending his only begotten Son for redemption of humankind to himself and adoption of those who accept Christ as the sons of God - joint heirs with Christ for eternal life.

We are no longer under bondage of the of law neither are we slaves to tradition. God made the day, people set the days apart to mark events and keep memories. 25th December has been set apart to keep memories of events associated with birth of Christ, to proclaim his gospel and celebrate God's goodness among those who care to appreciate him.

I am not sure what you said your major is cos you are yet to say anything. The policies on Agriculture, automobile industry, downstream deregulation, railways reinvigoration, education, power reforms were all by this govt.

On power, go read the power reform roadmap. The current investors have 4years to improve existing power infrastructure before the introduction of foreign competitors. The power facilities nationwide is in disarray and needs to be overhauled and is ongoing... even your own transformer might not sustain 72hrs power if supplied if not upgraded. Various IPPs are at various levels of completion. In the next few years the efforts will begin to yield dividends. With the introduction of the competitors by 2016 it gets even better... you might have a choice of who your power provider will be.

Security will be addressed and we are getting there. At the beginning, the northern elements felt it was an adequate tool against GEJ to the point that Buhari said an attack on bokoharam is an attack on northern Nigeria. But its consuming evetyone at the moment. I feel very sorry for the victims and their families and they remain in our prayers. Sometimes I ask, what else should GEJ have done?... funds were provided, we've continued to buy arms despite the challenges, changed service chiefs. .... however the only thing missing is the support of the northern elements. They are currently offering their support to Buhari to end ot when he becomes president but will not support GEJto end the menace. We cannot afford to have a counter militants insurgency in the ND in this period of low crude oil prices..... that will be absolute anarchy. That is why all hands must be on deck to end bokoharam.

We are a people of extended emotions and seeking immediate gains without plans for the future. The next president after GEJ will be criticized too and will continue but we will never ask the real question for the future.
More than ever, I have more confidence in the future of Nigeria today because of the policies I've seen put in place by GEJ today.
it is good to be honest and make reasonable points on issues of national importance. What we have seen so far here is some posters have been blinded by emotion and party's interests to the extent that they were ignorant of various approaches to strengthen the nation's economy against time like this. The President may have his shortcomings but he has really put some measures in place. All people criticizing him are neither helping the situation nor creating any value to the country. Like you said, he has tried in Agriculture, automobile industry, downstream deregulation, railways, education (tertiary and even alimajiri basic education), power reforms among others. On all these he has been seriously working to achieve the best, his critics are in haste... maybe they want 24hrs results on rots of many years
caused by our previous leaders.

mercy J was right in supporting Adeboye. Politics shld nt feature in religion, especially christian religion

Christ warned his followers about it. It will be DIFFICULT for a rich man to make heaven bt IMPOSSIBLE for a politician
Men of God already know how the devil works. That he would like to drag and stain them in order to rub them of their God's given grace. Jesus warns the Church not to stain herself with politics. Though he made the Church realize she can't do away with it. He explained how to tackle political issues diligently, righteously and wisely without being stained. The Pastor already know all these.

Just as I said yesterday, Christians are not to hate or frustrate aspiring individuals. Jesus even wants us to pray for them... Christians are to respect, honour and obey those in authority, but if their actions are going contrary to the grace of serving God and righteous living, such leaders should be served the warning, if they reject the warnings and fail to act properly to the goodness of citizens, relationship with them should be cut off. And the third one... Christians must pay their taxes and be good citizens.

Good day my good people!

i seek your assistance in my decision making, what can one possibly do with 1 million naira in Agriculture?

an investment that'll bring a reasonable return in short or long term.

please i want practicable and realistic advises, biko ino won enter 1 chance o.
Denn:
First, invest the money in a good savings account in a bank, possibly fixed deposit for a month

Then get online... Read.... You need to spend hundreds of hours reading about what people have done in the past... Of note is this agric section of NL. Read iita articles etc.

Then get closer to existing farmers.... They are plenty on NL. There are a lot here offering free and immense education on how it is being done

Then go to organizations like Songhai.... Dig in with your fingers...

Then come back to your fixed deposit and apply.... By then you will know what to do.

Any other approach, and that million is gone... Then you still need to do what I listed...
Following the advise given above, you need to consider your knowledge, entrepreneurial and supervisory ability, market and how readily accessible your location is. With that amount you can venture into livestock, agro processing, fisheries, packaging and export of agricultural products & produce provided you have targeted and reliable buyers. These are the areas you can easily double and multiply your income within shortest period of time.

The Pastor has a crucial role to play this time around. I know he would never say "this is who you should vote for or that one don't vote for him" God should have revealed greater things to Pastor Adeboye about these politicians seeking attention and wanting his blessings. As a man of God who has been following events in all dimensions, he would rather go on his knees and pray, "Lord let your will be done".

Now he has people in both camps - Jonathan camp and Buhari camp. As a man of the heart of God, he now has a role to play as umpire. IN ANY CONFUSING SITUATION, CHRISTIAN GOD NEVER GIVES HIS CHILDREN UP TO CONFUSION. Do you want to know how Pastor Adeboye will respond from Christian viewpoint... Dont expect me to tell you everything now ... CHEERS!

Gej... Cheers... the Lord will fight your battles for you
Gmb.. Cheers.. the Lord will fight your battles for you

All you supporters find better works to do instead of insulting members of other parties and causing confusion in the society. Our God does not want us to preach hate and fall. He doesn't want us to make enemies, but rather friends.

Now that both Gej and Gmb have entered the redeemers camp for God's approval and blessings. They are both Pastor Adeboye spiritual sons who he should be praying for. Anyone of them whose prayer is answered at the end of the day to make it as the President should receive the warning. He must not move away from the house of God or deviate from the vow made within his heart and before God... that God if you do it, I will or wouldn't do this and that...

Agriculture › Re: Jonathan Launches Youth Employment In Agriculture Programme by Rexyl(m):

Has anyone on this platform benefitted from this?
Really numerous farmers have benefited, I myself benefited a lot from Mr. President ATA. Agricultural Transformation Agenda. Millions of farmers across the federation were registered and e wallets allocated to them. Through the e-wallets they have been accessing farm inputs at highly subsidized rates for the past three years. The transformation takes care of maize, rice, cassava, cocoa, cotton, oilpalm production, livestock production, fisheries and agro processing. Thanks to President Jonathan. Thanks to the Hon. Minister of Agric... Dr. Akinwumi Adesina Ishola. Now we are getting to self sufficiency in rice production, and this has been reducing almost N1billion daily on rice importation. If such billion is getting to the youths, it will go a long way to create wealth and reduce poverty in the land

At present farm production is on increase in both crops and livestock. The only problem we have now is glut in the markets and falling prices associated with some agricultural produce, esp cassava. Now in my place farmers don't breakeven this year on cassava production. imagine the price falling down to N3000/ton from N20,000/ton. The price fall is as a result of sudden increase in production above the quantity being consumed. The government should work towards increasing the numbers of processing companies and value addition to farm products.

Prayers of good people of Nigeria will be answered , boko haram will be totally defeated, those on the run will meet their Waterloo wherever they relocate to, all of them will be crushed before the end of January next year, peace will soon return to Nigeria.

My advice is, Nigerian government should abrogate all governing systems and practices that permit political or religious extremism. Our constitution should be strong enough to tackle militancy and jihad and strike them out of our society. Aside corruption these are two major sources of social evils tearing Nigeria apart.
