Aufbauh: Some people are indeed pathetic and shameless. How can a woman Mrs Okonjo Iweala one of the de facto President in GEJ era who single handedly coordinated and supervised our economy to stupor has the audacity to advise the present administration?
She lacks both the moral and philosophical right to advise the Nigerian government not even a state in Nigeria.
She had a double chance in two previous administrations to show her tactfulness, skills and resourcefulness to prove herself and write her name in gold but she failed woefully.
You don't give what you don't have, she might be an economic guru but she's a helpless novice in the Nigerian economic terrain. She should keep her unsolicited advice to herself except she's telling us that she's a better spectator than a player. Puff puff was imposed on OBJ by the Western powers to destroy the Nigerian economy and primarily to sink Nigeria into the abyss. If you want to read or know more about people like puff puff, read the book The confessions of an economic hit man. |

alcmene: Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, has dissociated himself from calls by some state governors that the salaries of public servants be reduced or that there should be massive retrenchment in the public sector.
Instead of reducing salaries and sacking workers, Fayose admonished the state governors to reduce the affluence they enjoy in office and put an end to wastages.
According to a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti on Friday by the Governor's Chief Press Secretary, Mr Idowu Adelusi, the governor said this during the Agenda for the Treasury Board meeting held as part of preparation of the state's 2016 budget.
"Today most newspapers carried the story about call by some state governors that the minimum wage of N18,000 be reduced or that there should be massive retrenchment of workers in the public service. They are on their own and I take exemption to that. The minimum wage is even not enough.
"Reduction of wages or retrenchment of workers won't happen in Ekiti State. Instead of those anti-labour and anti-people policies, the governors should cut down on their travels and tours and cut down minimum wives and children and their affluence. Let the governors cut their coats according to their sizes."
Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum and governor of Zamfara state had on Thursday told newsmen inn Abuja that the current low prices in oil prices was making the payment of N18, 000 minimum wage impossible for state governments.
He said it would either be reviewed downward or workers would face sack.

This lawyer is so bankrupt upstairs, he makes Saraki's and Jim Nwobodo Bankrupt Societe and Savannah Bank, look like Saints.
Russia has 11 time Zones, Russia is so big it is not even funny. The United States has 4 Time Zones, and both Countries as big as they are,do not require the equivalent of 2 Billion Naira, when their political parties campaign. Even if we must steal/loot, let us even do it with respect, herein lies my problem with PDP.
They stole with so much impunity, it was like going into the fridge to get Cold water, the way they kept going in and out of the Nigerian Treasury.
Let us set aside this APC/PDP Politics for now.
Let us all please reason like reasonable Nigerians , this money these guys shared is BLOOD MONEY, straight and simple. This was money that was set aside, to procure ARMS for our Military People. And what did these guys do?they sat in their Air Conditioned Offices, split the Money down the middle, and sent our Soldiers to War with Sticks and Bows.
And while Boko Haram, was busy killing our Soldiers left and right, these heartless Politicians were busy PEPPER SOUPING/BEERING and WHORING with the Blood Money of our Soldiers.
It shall not be well with any Politician, that partook of this Arms Money.
And may the SOUL of all OUR LOST SOLDIERS Torment these GUYS until their last days on EARTH. Those Dead Soldiers, and their families are the Voiceless Ones in Nigeria, and i pray one of those families pick a Civil Rights Lawyer, and SUE not just Dasuki/Dokpesi.
But, sue the entire Government of Goodluck Jonathan.
It is the SENDING of our Soldiers to DEATH, that will forever make me hate PDP and their heartlessness. A loud amen. Aaaaaaaamen! |

Olaedo1: Obaship dispute rocks Yoruba community in FCT
The Obaship crisis rocking Yoruba Community in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is showing no sign of abating. In fact, it got to a level that the traditional ruler of Yoruba in the territory, Oba (Dr) Olusegun Salau, warned those he accused of sowing seeds of discord among members of the community for selfish interests, to desist from such. He even threatened that henceforth, anybody caught in the act would be handed over to security agencies for appropriate sanction.
The major contention is over who the authentic Oba of Yoruba in Abuja is. Salau had insisted that he remained the only recognised Oba and advised the contenders to embrace peace in the interest of the Yoruba race.
Oba Salau recently summoned an emergency meeting with chiefs and elders of the Yoruba community at his Kado’s place in Life Camp to find solution to the crisis. He told them that the meeting was summoned to find a way of redeeming the image of the community which he noted had been badly damaged through incessant crises and indiscipline among residents.
The Oba expressed dissatisfaction that the main reasons for the formation of the community were yet to be fully realised many years after the community was formed. ”During this period, it has been one form of crisis, mistrust, bickering, blackmail and all these have largely affected our progress and image as a community in FCT,” he told them.
According to him, “going down memory lane, you will recall that the birth of Yoruba Community, FCT came into being following my installation as the Oba Yoruba of Abuja at an event which was widely publicised and which was attended by all prominent Yoruba sons and daughters residing in Abuja.”
Oba Salau, who highlighted most of the steps taken earlier to ensure peace within the community as well as in other ethnic groups within the FCT, including the emergence of Six Area Councils’ chairmen with the appointment of an Oba as the chairman to coordinate the activities of the Yorubas in each Area Council who should report back to him, said that it was unfortunate that some members went ahead and sabotaged the efforts for selfish reasons. He told them: “It is time to put an end to all this nonsense. Our teeming brothers and sisters resident in the FCT are looking up to us for what will benefit them just as their neighbours are benefitting from their own tribal communities. In this new era of change, we cannot continue this way; it is unacceptable to me.”
Oba Salau insisted that there was no leadership problem in Yoruba community in the FCT and said: “I am the only person so chosen by the Ona of Abaji, Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa as the paramount traditional ruler and leader of Yoruba Community. I am quite aware of my enormous power “The fact that I allowed everybody to operate freely does not mean I am weak. Henceforth, I have resolved to put an end to this disgrace and embarrassments. My actions to some extend are to bring sanity and honour to the Yoruba community, FCT where it will earn us greater peace and progress,” he stated.
Oba Salau, certainly, did not stop there as he announced the prohibition of proliferation of Obaship titles in the FCT, saying that the action was in line with the authority conferred on him by the Ona Abaji and chairman, Council of Traditional Rulers in FCT, Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa. According to him, “Henceforth, there is only one Obaship title in the whole of FCT, which is my own: the Oba of Yoruba Abuja, while the rest will be known and addressed as Chief of Yoruba in the respective villages as my representatives in all the satellite towns and villages and they are expected to report back to me the activities of the Yorubas in the council areas
“Anybody or group of persons that move about parading themselves as leaders of Yoruba Community in Abuja, without my knowledge, for instance, the so-called Egbe Omo-Odua Yoruba in FCT, will henceforth be dealt with and treated as fraudsters.” “Any Chief without my approval that moves around parading himself as Chief of Yoruba in any part of the FCT, for instance, those whose certificates as Yoruba leaders do not emanate from my office, will be dealt with and treated as fraudsters,” he added.
http://tribuneonlineng.com/node/21843 this is how they continue to disgrace a whole race by parading themselves as their representatives. These people have not impacted on any body's life and dont care if all Yorubas are locked up in any cell. The major cause if this problem is was he even elected by the Yorubas in the FCT? |

Nigerian Police Officer Finds & Returns Woman's Purse With Content Worth Over N200 Million
Found this inspiring story of this Nigerian police officer, Edward Eze Onoriode who returned a woman's purse with ATM cards containing N200m and a necklace worth N1.8 million. Read the amazing story as shared by him on his Facebook wall below...
"I was at Ikeja shopping mall two days ago on duty where I recovered a missing purse at the parking lot. The purse contained; some cash both local and foreign currencies, recharge cards worth about N2000, nine ATM cards, complementary cards, valuable documents, international passport, international and local drivers license, national ID card, voters card and a gold necklace.
I took the missing purse to the security office where all lost but found items are being kept for the owners to claim should in case the owners lodge a formal complaint that their items at the mall went missing for possibly claim after identification. At the security office where we went through all the items inside the purse for record purpose, one of the security men told me point blank that if he's the one that recovered the missing purse, he'd remove the money, gold necklace and recharge card before bringing the purse to the office for record purpose.
I wasn't disappointed with his misguided speech because that's the normal character of most Nigerians when they recover a missing item. Somehow, I decide to trace the owner of the purse via her complimentary card and put a call across to her. Open receiving the call, she screamed at the background jubilating that her missing purse has been recovered. She drove straight to the mall, tracing me through my mobile number I used in calling her.
When we met, she didn't mind we were in public, she gave me a warm hug and thanked me and prayed for me. I took her to the office where the purse was kept. She checked her purse and discovered that nothing was missing. She was astonished. She asked me again if I was the one that saw the item and I said yes. She told me that she was already in the bank filling forms to block her ATM cards. She said in those ATM cards, she have over N200m in there and the necklace in the purse is valued at N1.8m.
She also said, I just removed a heavy burden from her neck because life would have been miserable for her missing her international passport, international and local drivers licence including other documents. She kept thanking me and almost knelling down. She was awed and she told me that she least expected a Police officer to recover a missing item containing cash and still return that missing item intact without removing a dime out of it mostly in this harsh economy. She kept staring at me like am a God.
To cut the long story short, she gave me some cash which I rejected. I told her am doing my job and taking money from her for recovering her missing purse is wrong on my part. I also made her to understand that we can become friends and maybe in the future she can appreciate my nice gesture to her but I won't take anything from her for doing my job at the moment. She became speechless and asked me which church am i attending?
I smiled and told her "am irreligious. In fact, am a freethinker" that's the exact words I told her. She stood their for minutes without knowing the next word to say. Anyway, we are now friends and she just introduced me to her husband this morning on phone. Her husband was so excited and has invited me and my family to join them on a dinner in any of my off days. Is good to do the right thing not because of any reward that comes with it but because its the right thing to do. Good morning.

cramjones: We all respect Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala and we congratulate her on her numerous awards and accolades. That said, it is now fact that billions of $$$ was stolen and distributed under her watch. Money for our soldiers were fleeced away into pockets of individuals while Boko Haram murdered, mutilated and beheaded our soldiers. Under her watch Nigeria came to its knees despite the fact that we were earning $100/barrel of oil exported - the most in our nations history.
I urge her to remember that when the chicken comes home to roost, 1001 awards won't save her! She is definitely complicit, and from what I know President Bubu would do all that is in his power to make sure the vagabonds, the political ebeano boys and girls, the bombois, and the charlatans that fleeced with our billions bringing Nigeria to its knees would surely pay dearly for it. No award trumps the proceedings of the laws of the land. We must win this fight - those who stole our wealth must pay for it!
