This happened to a friend of mine and I want to share it with my fellow NL.

A friend who traveled on Arik airline on board flight W3 632 which operated Lagos to Warri on 20th August, 2015 couldn't find his only luggage he checked in and was given boarding pass along side with Baggage Tag before boarding when he got to his destination (Warri). The gentle guy complained to their desk in Warri and later, in Lagos airport when he returned to Lagos and they promised to get to him, that if the luggage is not found within 21 days that he will get a refund for his luggage. He was given the customer ID 182363602.
To his greatest surprise this is the email he received from Arik airline on 6th October, 2015, after close to two months.

Dear xxxxx,
We would like to use this opportunity to thank you for bringing your concern to our attention.

We regret to learn about your experience regarding your missing bag onboard flight W3 632 which operated Lagos to Warri on 20th August, 2015.
We understand how disappointing this must have been and sincerely regret that we are unable to offer a flawless service on this occasion.
Permit us to explain that, we have checked through our record and there was no record your bag being checked-in.
We are committed to providing our valuable customer with excellent customer services, yet unanticipated situations do take place.
Regrettably, Arik Air will not be able to accept liability for the missing bag has there was no record of the bag being checked-in.

Please be assured that at Arik Air, we value our esteemed guests such as you, and aim to render excellent customer service to them at all times and such, we are working assiduously to constantly strive to offer world class service to our esteemed guests.

Once again, we regret the inconvenience experienced, and hope that despite all, you will give us another opportunity restore your convenience in us as we look forward to welcoming you onboard our flight soon.

The question now is how come he has a baggage tag without his baggage checked-in? And why did it take this long for Arik Air to find out that this guy never checked-in his bag if their statement is correct from the mail?
Moreso, does this mean that the Arik Air staffs on duty don't take record of baggages as they give out baggage tags?

My dear nairalanders, please lets address this issue because i know there are others with similar experience.

My name is God'spower, I left Abuja with my brother around 6am yesterday 30/09/2015 for Ore, Ondo State to purchase this toyota camry car. On getting to Ore around some minutes past 4pm, I called Kayode Daniel aka Kaydan002 that I am in front of NNPC depot where he told me to meet him (claimed place of work). And immediately, he told me he is no more there, that I should meet him @ 'Allimoshoyin' petrol station not far from Ore Express Junction that the car stand is opposite the station.

Quickly, I took a bike with the aim of getting the deal done on time so that I can travel back to Abuja but on getting there Kayode Daniel was not there; I met his said brother called Yemi and the accident furnished toyota camry tiny light car for 500k, wheel screen and the right rear mirror broken, AC not working (broken pipe), Oil coming out from the engine, the car is seriously damaged from the back and worked on, the steering and the car radio is not the same as what he presented on the picture here, etc.


The back plate number shown on the picture by Kaydan002 was missing according to his brother Yemi and they made local plate number representing the missing one.


Nigerians and the world at large, Kayode Daniel aka Kaydan002 refuses to come see me at the front of a small shop called car stand after traveling a long distance from Abuja to Ore, Ondo State claiming he is busy after giving me 100% assurance of his availability. Right there I told his brother Yemi that I am not interested in the business that I am traveling back to Abuja. Not too long Yemi communicated my decision to Kaydan002 and

Kaydan002 called me on phone and said what do I want? that we should discuss as a man.
ME: I told him that the picture of the car he presented on nairaland is not what I am seeing and I am not ready for any deal.

Kaydan002: told me he is ready to deduct 30k from the 500k we agreed on the car but to me is not a deal anymore so I left Ore yesterday for Abuja and arrived safe and sound this morning.

Food for Thought: Never travel for such a long distance to purchase a used Nigerian car except I have someone close around there to help
me inspect the car and give me feedback.

But if his aim is to find a job to do or to start up his own business, then I think 180k is still good as a start up career capital for a BSC holder.

You guys should stop looking at the statement from a sentimental point of view.

He used the term as a technical legal term to mean that the tribunal was not properly composed. He did not direct the 'not competent' statement at the Person of the chairman, but at the tribunal to mean that it was not properly constituted to try a case.

Although, he was wrong on the submission as two justices are sufficient to try a case, but I just need to clarify that we should not be too sentimental on this issue.

8.) You don't call a judge that presides over your case "incompetent". I am sure joseph Daudu will regret ever calling a hausa/fulani Judge "incompetent".

The same "incompetent" Justice Danladi Umar will be the one he and his paymaster(Saraki) will face tomorrow.
