Health › Re: 5 Health Benefits Of Avocado(pear) You Should Know by Rhayour: 9:14pm On Dec 17, 2018 |
Adieza: If your New Year's planning have anything to do with eating better, you may want to start by loading your shopping cart with avocados. These super fruits are not only delicious, but they are also packed with nutritional and health benefits — to your heart, eyes and much more — that may surprise you.
1: Heart Health
Avocados contain the plant chemical beta-sitosterol which helps maintain healthy cholesterol levels. They are packed with monounsaturated fat and according to the American Heart Association , when monounsaturated fats are eaten in moderation in place of saturated and trans fat, this can help reduce the bad (LDL) cholesterol.
2: Healthy Eyes The carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin are also found in these fruit. Both have been shown to keep the eyes healthy as we age and may help reduce the risk of macular degeneration, the leading cause of vision loss as we get older.
3: Growth and Development Avocados contain 3.5 grams of unsaturated fat per 1 ounce serving (about 1/5th an avocado). Studies have shown that unsaturated fat is important for proper growth and development of the central nervous system and the brain of youngsters.
4: Blood Pressure Avocados are free of sodium and are recommended while on the DASH Diet – which is the prescribed diet to help lower blood pressure. They also have a nice amount of potassium, which may also help lower blood pressure. Studies have found that when avocados are eaten in place of other fats (like butter and mayo), they can help control blood pressure.
5: Weight Loss These babies are brimming with healthy fat, which takes the body longer to digest and help keep you full and satisfied (so you’re less likely to snack!). Further, avocados are nutrient-packed with over 20 vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients which is especially beneficial if you’re trying to cut calories and keep up with all the nutrition your body needs.

Nairaland General › Re: My Bitter Experience With Ecobank by Rhayour: 9:12pm On Dec 17, 2018 |
peacemara54: Dear friends, pls I need urgent help and best advice at the moment. I don't understand Ecobank anymore and I think they are fraudulent.
Nov., 24. A sum of 24000 was credited into my account. And this money was transferred from first bank of Nigeria. This was at the time Ecobank was having issue with Network and at the same time, upgrading their system.
I waited endlessly for this money to be credited into my acct but till this moment, no alert and no reflection of that amount in my account balance. I ask the depositor to contact her bank which is first bank. First bank sent a message to my bank becos actually, I was told that money left first bank and is with Ecobank. But after a week with no response from Ecobank, I need to contact their headquarters. I was told they will work on my request and that was about 4 days ago. Till now, Ecobank still find it difficult to trace my money.
2. Dec.,11, my account was credited. And I saw my account balance through the message alert sent by Ecobank.
I was shocked and surprised the next day when I checked my balance and discover, 28000 was deducted from the original balance left in my account. Immediately I forward my complaint to Ecobank and I receive another shocker. I was told that my account balance was valid.
But how come? What happen? I did no transaction and my balance was still intact as at 11:59pm. So, how come 28000 was deducted from my acct. with no explanation and no transaction carried out. How can you just deduct such amount and keep telling me my acct balance is valid. What sort of nonsense.
I will make sure I get my money back from Ecobank through all legal means available. A total of 52000 missing with no explanation from the bank and they are not helping out all they are doing is just to frustrated you and make you forget the money but no, not from me.. I think this is fraud and if Ecobank can perform this kind of trick on many accts, they will be raking million of naira fraudulently from their customers. I don't think its safe at the moment to bank with them
Pls I need help on how to get back my money Any useful advice pls Ummmm....na wa o. ENGcontactcentre@ecobank.com and better still get a faster response by tweeting at them @ecobank_nigeria. Had this same issue when they upgraded and it was resolved immediately |

Crime › Re: Corruption That's Currently Going On In The Bank by Rhayour: 11:54am On Jul 19, 2017 |
Sluganmorris: Dear Nairalands in the House,
There's a Arrangement going on in the bank right now whereby, very soon everybody will stop saving money in the Bank.
A friend of mine went to bank to withdrawing 4 thousand naira from his personal account and he was told by the bank to wait for some hours, before you know it. The bank had already called the police to arrest my guy, they now says that his personal account was flagged. They kept him in the cell for 3 days before he was transferred to EFCC office in Benin. They told him that his account was placed on fraudulent. And these is a friend that never involve in such act because I know him too well. He was detained in Asaba police station for 4 days before he was transferred to Benin EFCC office. To my greatest suprise, they said the crime was committed in Lagos now they granted him billout at Benin with a level 14 civil servant. The EFCC are putting it on him to agree a crime he didn't commit and they never allowed him to make any call. During this problem, they seized phone forcing him to agree to pay amount of money forced to him. After said and done, he was referred to EFCC Abuja where they will give him the account numbers to pay. Meanwhile, they keep pushing him up and down. The question now is, who is he paying this money forced on him to? The government or ghost? So Ecobank and UBA bank together with diamond bank are seriously running some shit with people's account of which we don't seems to understand? Or they are setting people's up with there funds which we don't understand? Very soon we all will stop Saving money in the bank. This bank and EFCC fraudulent activates has to stop. This problem is currently going on here in Nigeria. If the bank call the police to arrest you, they will not give you any chance for you to communicate with your lawyer. The next thing is that, Olga you're case is EFCC case, if you're a 419 you will run away leaving your funds to the bank if not they will find one aligation to place on your head. What is this country turning to? My Conclusions: You wrote this post as an Illiterate or you don't have your thoughts together. Your friend may be an Illiterate as well and also of questionable character. Please download Grammarly on your device to assist your grammar and spellings. |

'Thank You Jesus! We cancel that appointment with death. Good morning,I just want to use this opportunity to thank God and share my testimony with you.On the 28th of June I was on my way home from the last halleluyah praise challenge night which took place at the glitz event centre,I was inside a car and another car ran into us just at the lekki 3rd round about (ikate) and my car somersaulted inside the roundabout. People were scared that we were dead. The only thing I remembered saying last was the Blood of Jesus.I and the driver came out alive without a single scratch. The most amazing thing is that this happened two days to my birthday. Business › Re: My Horrible Experience At Ecobank by Rhayour: 3:47pm On May 13, 2017 |
abbello: I encountered the most horrible customer service experience at ecobank yesterday. precisely their m/m way branch in kano state. i went to the bank to do some withdrawals the queue was out of this world but being that i really needed cash for the weekend i had no option than to wait. My first thought was to apply for an instant ATM card so i could just avoid the long queue and use any available ATM but i was told they don't issue instant card at the branch. After waiting for hours the tellers stopped attending to customers as they claimed no network. the woman whom i presume to be the manager was seated on her chair busy chatting on her tablet without a care on what the customers were going through.it was only after some customers started raising their voices and creating a scene that she stood up and asked the tellers why they werent paying and when they told her no network she went back to her seat and continued whatever she was doing on her tablet.i had to walk up to her to see if there was a way i could be assisted since i was already running late but the manner in which she responded to me was very rude.it got to apoint so many customers had to angrily tear their withdrawal slips and walk out of the branch myself included. Ecobank has never been known as a customer friendly bank but this is the worst i have experienced and the thing is other customers in the bank that very day has no single good opinion of that woman and the branch in general. Ecobank will soon be a dead bank if they continue like this as for me first thing on monday morning iam moving my little funds with them to another bank. Wow....I have had a couple of issues them and someone advised that I send a mail to ENGcontactcentre@ecobank.com or call 07005000000. The issue was resolved b4 I knew it. No vex sha... |
Crime › Re: ATM Scam: The New Method by Rhayour: 5:38pm On Apr 11, 2017 |
slex: Greetings everyone. I feel so bad , sad and traumatised right now because of how someone just decided to wake up one day and do evil to me. My essence of writing this is to use Nairaland as a means of educating more people on the dangers you may face when your ATM card has been compromised.
Yesterday after finishing up work for the day i did my usual closing time ritual; i shut my system down, switched off the AC and the sockets then started my journey and this was already 6-01pm. When i reached Chevron round about at exactly 6-37pm I heard the usual notification tone on my phone that i had received a message. I ignored after 2 mins i heard another then i removed the phone from my pocket and checked lo and behold what did i see?N20k debit alert from GTB twice.
I was like WHAT!!! when did i initiate these transactions and while still looking at the messages surprised another N20k debit alert came in after a few seconds yet another N20k totalling N80,000 naira. Like a man possessed I quickly Hotlisted my Account by sending an sms with the Hotlist format and after that i received a message that my Account has been hotlisted from GTB but it was already too late. The balance left after the N80k taken was just N7k.
My people , the feeling of seeing your money leaving your account in ral time is a very crazy experience I felt so helpless. Anyways I have gone to a GTB Branch and complained but they are telling me it can take a week to 3 months for investigations to be concluded. Me i want my money refunded and i dont even get why it has to take so long (45 days max) to resolve that issue. Thank God i have 2 other accounts but this has got me thinking that our banks need to protect s their clients more.
The thief used a POS/Web transfer channel to remove the money why?because he knows if he uses an ATM his face will be captured by CCTV or the camera on the machine meaning No be today him de do this kain thing.
tthere should be some sort of way to prevent unauthorised transfers honestly. Either when you want to pay with a POS machine a message shoud be sent to you requesting authorization before payment can be done on a POS machine. How this thief bypassed OTP authorization to remove money from my account beats my imagination.
Please be careful everyone.
From a pained member. The investigation will be easy, at least the fund must have been transferred to another account if it was done by POS/WEB . So with the era of BVN. ur bank should be able to track the culprit |

CertifiedNaija: According to an eye witness, this happened last night, during the Sound City MVP Awards at the Eko Hotel and suites in Lagos. Wizkid had arrived at the venue and was directed to sit close to a young lady who was probably a fan.
The lady was reportedly star struck when Wizkid sat beside her, as she suddenly kept a straight face on her phone. After few minutes she gathered the courage to take some shots of wizkid with her phone.
After few minutes, Wizkid whispered to one of the crewmen he arrived with and they had an exchange of seat as he made his guy sit close to the lady.

Dreamwaker: My New GT Bank Debit Card's C.V.V. Is 666 (Photo)
While out shopping, I lost my debit card so I applied for a new one. It was ready in a week which to me is a long time to get a replacement card. Other banks do it in less than 20 minutes. Anyway I got my card and went home.
I didn't bother looking at the card until yesterday when I wanted to shop online and time to put the C.V.V number, I was shocked to see 666. Ah mogbe!!! Revelations in the Bible came to my mind. What ever you want to buy, 666 will be required. I didn't buy whatever I wanted to buy and started trying to convince myself that it's just a coincidence but it's not possible.
I cannot keep this card and GT Bank must give me a free replacement. For my religious beliefs and also security. It can easily be guessed by any fraudster.
Meanwhile I will like to know how many people will keep the card. Don't try and convince me sha, I have made up my mind |
