Hi, congratulations. Please were you able to track your passport through the VFS website? Keeps telling me "no records found". Thanks
Yes I was. It may be because you are doing something wrong; check the date of birth, and if you have more than one passport submitted ensure the tracking number is for the right date of birth.

It's PPR my wonderful e-family!

First heard about Express Entry in 2014. I was still a patriotic Nigerian then, believed things would get better. Fast forward to 2017, my friend convinced me to write Ielts and that was the first step of my EE journey.
My timeline below:
Ist ielts 8.5 7 6.5 7 in LRWS
2nd Ielts 6 9 7.5 7
3rd Ielts 8 7 7 7(let my people go)
CRS 453
ECA started August 2018, completed 22/02/18 with MCC.
Entered the pool 22/02/18
ITA 26/03/18
AOR 25/04/18
Mep 03/05/18
File transferred to Ottawa 14/05/18( got this from my GCMS notes)
Ip2 07/08/18
.
PPR 15/08/18

POF: had 40% of funds transferred to my account by my sister didn't do a gift deed just a LOE.
*wouldn't advise this as it was noted in my notes to review large sum transfer into my account. Thank God I didn't get an ADR or worse an interview.
Please people get a gift deed irrespective of the sum once the money comes in post-ita.

I added my sibling in Canada post-ita because I wasn't certain she would release her document to me but she finally came through. My CRS score was recalculated from 453 to 468.

Special thanks to the wonderful contributors on this thread. I got most of the answers to my questions without even asking, they were just there in black and white.
To the newbies, always start from page 1.
It will end in PRAISE for us ALL.

@sparkle2k3: for your medicals at prime medical consultants, go early enough, 8am, with a photocopy of your passport data page, cash or ATM card(30k for adults, 20k to 25k for children). The pix centre for the x-ray is quite a distance from the hospital, I located it with Google maps. The entire process lasted about 2 hours for my boy and i.

Had the same problem. But I had to mend that bridge by fire by force. So I will advise you to reach out to her and find out if she will be willing to release her documents to you, in fact have her send the documents to you before you input her details. If she refuses , then omit her from ur application but just know you may not be able to mention that you have a sister for the rest of your stay in Canada.

Hello House!
Happy to be chatting here, finally.
I have been reading all: part 1-3. Thank you all for the world of info out here. Please people just read, then there will be less questions to ask :-)

My IELTS came out successful. Now I want to create the EE profile. My question is: I have a sister in Canada. She's got PR. But we are estranged (yeah, family issues, sh*t happens). So I WILL NOT BE CLAIMING POINTS FROM HER.

At the beginning of the form where it asks do you have sister, aunt, uncle in Canada? Will I have lied already if I ticked NO?
Or do I tick YES?
But when asked to show her PR card number to get 15 points, I simply decline? (As I stated, I will not be needing those 15 points).

Hopefully someone will put me through on which part to tick what. I do not want to mess it up by ticking one and the other would be what I should have done.

Thanks all.

PS: @Newmum ayam coming for u :-) NOC Queen.
Hello
Pls is there a thread or any WhatsApp or telegram group for Nigerian doctors on the Canadian immigration process?

Also can anyone connect me to a Nigerian (with a Nigerian medical degree) practising in Canada.
Thanks
.

You can google Canadian Association of Nigerian Physicians and Dentists (CANPAD). Have it in mind that getting a license to practice in Canada would take years, some money, hardwork, some exams etc. U can always work elsewhere while u wait to pass the licensing exams.

Good evening guys. I have a question that has been bothering me. My wife has 8, 9, 8.5, 8 in LRWS while I have 7.5,8.5,7.5,7.5 in LRWS. She's the PA. The CRS score 472. Since I'm not the PA, do I need to rewrite IELTS considering the fact that I am not the PA and our CRS is okay? Please, enlighten me.

You don't need to rewrite since you are not the PA. Your wife's score is more than enough to get you guys ITA.

Reading was tricky and I had a 9, listening was good (or so I thought) and I had a 7.5. Let's hope for the best for you guys though

I would suggest you go for a remark in your listening if you have the resources. There is still a good chance ur listening will be upgraded. It's possible that BC is overwhelmed such that only one examiner marks the script instead of 2 and this leaves room for errors. My opinion though.

My people, I waited so long for the results to be released before going in for a budget presentation. In fact, the thought of the results kept me cold all through the session so much that at a time, the

Anyway, I wrapped up a while ago and the first thing was to check the much awaited result. LRWS: 7.5,9,8,8.5. Even though this was better than the previous, 'L' somehow contrived to throw a spanner in the works yet again. By my assessment, I did pretty well in the listening test of January 6 that I expected nothing short of an 8. Well, it didn't quite happen as expected but as the saying goes, "winners never quit". I logged on to the BC site and registered for the next available test here in Lagos. Perhaps my early morning (Fast and Furious) drive to Ibadan that day might have affected my concentration levels, I can't tell. I shall be back again but with good news. There's no room for letting up.

At this rate your next score will be fantastic. All the best in your next and last Ielts.

My Ielts score LRWS 8, 7,7,7. 3rd attempt, wasn't what I was expecting but it sure boosted my crs score from 398 to 453. 1st and 2nd attempts were LRWS 8.5,7,7,6.5, and 6,9,7.5,7 respectively. Congrats to all who made it in their Ielts and to those who didn't, keep your eyes on the goal which is PR and don't give up. Waiting patiently for my ECA to dive into the pool.

results are not out yet. Perhaps the pass rate was too much for them to handle hence the delay. It will surely end in praise..

@ecfmg question. Its sent by regular post. They wait 60 days and if they haven't got a response they send another and wait another 60 days then send another. After the 3rd time you can then request and pay for it to be sent by courier.
Only OAU to the best of my knowledge right now does ecfmg verification electronically. I hope this helps.
thanks.
