So something good would ever come out of Buhari? I thought the man is just bland...
To start, if this is true then all medical trips has finally paid off in full.
They said he had ear problem. However, that was only a smokescreen. The Crux of everything is his dick.
Buhari lost total control of his dick. Cue infamous "Za Oza Room" comment. The sole reason why the country is in debris is because instead of the C-in-C spending ample time in affairs that'd stir the country the circuit path of prosperity he is busy generously fuccking, smashing and shinning Aisha's bushy kpekus.

I say congratulations for a job Weldon.

If you ask me this is the only positive vibes Buhari has given out since 2015.

How does Nigeria cope with so many mad people? smiley

Not jazz, just good nutritionists and physios. If you eat right, recharge and sleep well you have no business with long term injuries as a footballer.

Yes. Not drinking alcohol, eating fruits and vegetables and keeping off red meat and sugar makes for quick self healing of the body from football injuries. It is also difficult to get muscle tears and sprains

I have a question, I hope anyone who's knowledgeable on this subject can provide me with an answer.

I understand the need for Patrol boats, but I don't really get the concept of an Offshore Patrol Vessel, popularly referred to as an OPV.

What is an OPV, why are countries more and more investing in OPVs? I know that OPVs are Corvette sized ships in most cases and in other cases they are Frigate sized ship like NNS Thunder.

Corvettes and Frigates conduct patrols, so why do I need an OPV to do the same thing a Corvette and a Frigate already does?

OPVs are known to be armed with 76mm guns at most, but the OPVs Nigeria has ordered would have Surface to Air Missile Capabilities, they are many OPVs that are armed with Surface to Surface missile and Surface to Air Missiles.

What's really the point of buying an OPV and also owning a Corvette and a Frigate? It really doesn't make sense to me.

The floor is open for all to have this discussion.

The original reason for large OPVs might be having a long coastline that needs to be patrolled by larger ships that can take enough fuel and larger crews.
The alternative to this would have been smaller Patrol boats and many small naval bases which would be uneconomical.

The more strategic reason is to pretend you have no expansionist ambitions and that your massive but under-armed warship (that can be refitted with more offensive weapons in just 2 weeks) is just to patrol your EEZ.
So you're playing the 'good boy' country.

Sometimes geography and defence doctrines dictate..like for Israel and Russia who field a large number of smaller than OPV vessels that are armed to the teeth and can suppress and destroy medium power countries' navies.
There is no need to pretend. The vessels are platforms for destroying enemies along their small coastlines.
When they build larger vessels, it is because those large vessels are part of their countries air defence or nuclear deterrent systems.

No dry docking any time soon for these ships anyhow. That armor plate is so thick, that corrosion does not even scratch the surface

All the regions are similar except Abuja metropolitan City. Different forms of uneasiness and latent fear. Cultism, terrorism, ritualism, robberism, kidnappism, yahooism. Very hopless regions, have lived in all of them. Now currently in the region of skullism. People just get killed needlessly in all the regions

This is the only honest and realistic post I have read on this thread

Trying to save face I guess, dude will go down in history as the most incompetent and unproductive president Nigeria has ever produced.

When the rail networks, bridges, rə positioned defence sector, refurbished refineries and revamped agricultural sector are left as legacies, we will be the judge of that.

The painful thing for his detractors would be the enduring physical evidence of the most focused Nigerian Presidency in modern times.

A Presidency that said I would do this and went ahead to do it.

Never wanted him in Chelsea

At least we know Timo creates runs but his problem is scoring.lukaku just stands.with him we don't attack from the front again.

Lukaku is another player that has long spells of out of form performance. Unfortunately, he just entered that phase again so, sorry Chelsea

Most EPL coaches are unimaginative. Tuchel should have tried new people at the 75th minute. Sometimes your inform guys would have a few days of out of form within their inform periods. A smart coach recognizes that and uses fresh legs unless you are a complete clueless idiot like Ole Gunnar Solksjdaer.

Politics / Re: Why Cant Nigeria Return Regional Govt? by RiceProducers: 6:33pm On Dec 03, 2021
Regional governments are no more efficient in the modern world. It will depress the economy of the entire region. There would be parallel structures and multiple regulations.
The first thing that would be affected is FDI. For the next five years after your nonsense restructuring to regional governments, no global companies will invest or expand their operations.

The world has no patience for inferiority complexes, feelings of persecution or whatever idiocy would make you close up your economy and make it too difficult to operate. They will simply stay away.

Just for sake of discussion

I have some doubts regarding the above portion in that some probability of damage might exist post 4-5 interception but not high enough in probability to render APS inoperable majority of times, competent end users/designers will (should) frame op requirements pre and post system development factoring probable kinematic damage from dispersion etc post interception & include mitigation measures either during interception or post interception or both

There are lot of studies done including real ones and stimulations when it comes to kinematics of projectiles etc if it involves any system

APS is a very expensive system , nobody is rich or foolish enough to induct a system which supposedly will lasts 4-5 interception , ironically that too after successful interceptions

Just my POV , you could be right too

Anyways DRDO also started working on it's APS system

Sensors reportedly both radar and IIR based

Pic of launcher module test bench & kinetic effectors from a tender

Let's see how it comes out

İ agree. I think the probability of APS damage from tandem shaped charges and dispersed warhead splinters are low for just the reasons you said. Rigorous mathematical and computer simulations to determine optimum location on the vehicle body. The APS sensors themselves are numerous cameras with that many numbers given that much level of redundancy

is this an ifv or a light tank cause that amour there is not thick enough

İ would rather equip a tank with reactive armor packs and APSs than build with think armor plates. No armor plate is actually thick enough to protect against modern anti tank rounds. Resistance to. 50 caliber ordnance is enough.
The speed and maneuverability you gain with lighter armor confer better advantages

You know I was thinking about this the other day and it kinda came and struck me a bit. For this lets take Tanzania as a case study. The GDP ppp of Tanzania in 2019 was $150B. If Tanzania was effective at collecting taxes she should be collecting at least $30B per year. Also taking account that 40% of the Tanzanian economy is informal (unregistered and unregulated) her true GDP ppp figure should be something like $210B in 2019.
So what can she and the rest of the continent do for better tax collecting? Going fully digital and ditching paper money for Transactions. And with my rough estimation this could be a game changer for a lot of countries. I did a rough number analysis of the public transportation in Dar es salaam. About 4M people use public transport in Dar es salaam, with Tsh.800 as the go and return fare on average, is the state had a complete digital payment system, also collecting 30% of the total revenue (1USD=Tsh.2300 average) the state could be collecting close to $150M per year in revenue.
The average cost of building a tarmacked road in Tanzania is $500K and Dar es salaam having approximately 600km of unpaved road, they could have enough money to pave all roads in 2 years. Imagine if we did this in every sector of the economy, with good money managment Africa could have better infrastructure at 0 debt compared to first world countries.

Good stuff.

A very unhealty development.

This means Uganda is slack at collecting revenue. This problem should not be viewed with a one track mind. You should be collecting at least 20% of your GDP as revenue. For Uganda this should be $6bn every year

Man U did not play rubbish. It was all a scheme to dissipate Chelsea which is the most balanced team in the world at the moment. Man U broke up the play with many breaks and stops (Mounrinho style). Chelsea was very lucky. Also maybe Ronaldo should have come in earlier. It would have cost Chelsea two men to mark him
