Pele o San afebabalola . So the constitution wasn’t clear enough on Gay practice in this country ?
You see how daft you are, you can't even tell the difference between a constitution and an Act from the National Assembly and you are meant to uphold laws in your country. Show me where the Constitution said it's illegal to be a cross dresser or trans person. The only laws present today are against Gays , bisexuals and lesbians. No law exists against cross dressers, trans men, trans women, intersex, non-binary, and others. Bobrisky is a trans woman. The problem is that you guys do not even know your laws and you'd be typing rubbish and calling on the police to act.

Yes, I do. If you've lived in Lagos, you can live in Aba, there's technically no difference. Business, jobs, people, traffic, and a city where you can get everything you need without moving to any other location. It has some excellent schools, hospitals and also recreational areas. The city also has places for the poor, affordable schools, clinics and housing.

The irony is that, of there's a nuclear war today, Russia would definitely be at the receiving end. Infact, I would be shocked if Russia would still be in existence after the nuclear war. In world war 2, Germany, Japan, UK, France, the USA, Russia were declared the most powerful nations on earth following their roles in the war, today, the USA, UK, Japan, Germany and France are all allies against Russia. Russia should be the one seeking peace not the other way around.

All of you quoting my post don't really understand my perspective, My insinuation is that everything that Op posted can be found in every capital city in Nigeria.

I never said I was from Lagos and my post has nothing to do with tribalism anyways.
No, don't go there please, so the OP posted his city Owerri and then you went on to dig out bad areas in Owerri and now you're saying you didn't mean bad, that's a lie abeg! No one is a kid. Instead of appreciating the good areas in his city, you went on to start claiming perfectionist like you live in a perfect city. So, I asked you show me your city and I would also dig out it's slums and poor areas. You wanting to judge Owerri by it's poor areas amounts to an attack that looked personal. It's like someone showing Maitama and Wuse in Abuja and I bring up Kubuwa and Gwagwalada or Bwari and criticize Abuja through those or someone shows Lekki, Vi and Ikoyi and I bring out Makoko slum or Ajegunle and abulegba to judge the city. I STILL ASK YOU TO SHOW ME YOUR OWN FINE CITY. I await your response.

Many of you are dumb. Mention a salary earning billionaire in Nigeria. Stop making references to America where life is better.
It's funny how you're the dumb one but you try to sound as if you're making sense, when you're not. There are thousands of wealthy Nigerian salary earners. I mean to even start, you can look at our politicians. A governor or senator in Nigeria earns higher than the US president. Nigerian senators earn over 300,000 dollars which includes salaries, benefits, allowances and others, in a year they earn above 3 million dollars, this means just being a mere senator in Nigeria, you automatically become a millionaire in network after a year. What do you consider as rich then?

Let me even surprise you that most MDs, CEOs and directors to some companies and banks in Nigeria earn even more. Zenith bank CEO in 2018 was at an interviewing claiming that directors to the bank earn far higher than 300,000 dollars annually, he stated that the problem isn't that senators earn well, it is that they do not put the money to good use for the people by representing them efficiently. Get your facts right, please.

BusinessRe: “There’s No Rich Man On Earth That Is A Salary Earner” - Pastor Olumide Emmanuel by RichDaniels: 8:29am On Mar 06, 2024
The pastor is wrong. Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple Inc is the richest and highest paid person in the world. In 2023, Tim Cook received a salary of over 200 million dollars and has a combined net worth of 1.4 billion dollars. Tim Cook is not a shareholder to any company nor does he own any business to his name. All his wealth has been made from salaries. The same goes for Sundar Pichai (1.2 billion, CEO of Google) and Safari Catz (1 billion) CEO of Oracle.
PoliticsRe: Report Lists Top Performing Ministers In Tinubu's Administration by RichDaniels: 8:15am On Feb 28, 2024
Think9ja:
As Minister, once your PR team is solid, you'll have the dumb Nigerians in your pocket singing you praises.

Less than 4 months after coming on board, the dumb guys started saying the interior minister is the best performing minster simply because he made passport acquisition process easier for the japa crew.

Does his mandate begins and ends with passport matters only? Look around you, there are hundreds of illegal immigrants walking freely on the streets of Nigeria, but because he made the passport process easier, he's the best minister.

Betta Edu wanted to follow that part, but the oloshoism in her and her stealing traits didn't let her do it well.

As far as I'm concerned, no political office holder is doing anything because they didn't structure the country for them to do anything other than to chop and share slots..

For you to be labeled the best performing minister, 80% of the entire populace must feel your impact, not just people seeking to exit the dungeon.
It's funny, but you're actually the dumb one. What is the constitutional duty of a minister of interior? To build roads? 😀, so, the dude is legally supposed to be in charge of ensuring smooth operations of federal agencies, and he achieved it in ONE, previous ministers failed to do so for over 20 years since Obj era and he did it in 6 months. Previously, to get your passport, it takes at least three months. Now it took my cousin two weeks to get it done, what's best is that he even got a call inquiring if he'd want it to be dispatched to him on additional cost. The ease is mind blowing and is a testament that we can have institutions working perfectly if we have leaders with good intentions. And you say people who praise him are dumb. 😂, if we go by your ranking of 80% Nigerians feeling the impact, no minister in eight years would be ranked as best performing. You see what you also say is dumb too, 80% Nigerians, please, show me the minister that has impacted 80% Nigerians as at today. Even the minister of ICT, which I believe also does a good job, who created the digital village and also the Nigerian digital platform hasn't impacted the local Nigerians without access to internet, which make up over 40% of the population today. 😂

Funny enough, the sensible Igbos have always called out their senseless peers. But it's the remainder tribes that fail to call out theirs against Igbos. When Buhari won, we celebrated and said Igbos would suffer, they didn't. NBA stats in 2022 showed they had the lowest child poverty rate, lowest out of school children, the lowest poverty rate in total, the second most developed region in terms of HDI, the wealthiest Nigerian spread during the Buhari tenure. Tinubu has come with his hardship, we celebrated Muslim tickets against them, and today the Muslims and Yorubas are protesting and they've refused to join in. Only the southeast, I repeat only the southeast had none of its cities, whether major or minor, join the protest. They simply woke up and went on their daily activities and watched the news as you all exposed your dirty linings to them.

I didn't really see what he did to gain the recognition.
Why would you. When you're blinded to the reality of politics.
1. He joined a political party and FOR THE FIRST TIME IN Nigeria's democratic history came third with very low margins from the winner and the second;
2. He arguably and obviously would have won the election of free and fair, with all the INECs wuru wuru, this would have made it the first time a non major political candidate would have won an election.
3. He won Tinubu's strong hold, Lagos, even with all the rigging. This turned Sanwo Olu and the Oba of Lagos into park men and ShopRite visitors, always trying to mingle with the people, I personally saw Sanwo Olu four times in ShopRite Ikeja after the presidential election. Sanwo Olu even campaigned with Isi agwu 😂
4. Even after the rigged election, he still keeps on making politically strategic statements that move the nation and the press to document as though he is president. Infact, the press takes him more seriously than Tinubu. And even the Tinubu led govt have been found to implement a couple of his policies.
5. He makes visits to Taraba, Adanmawa, Plateau, Lagos, Oyo and is celebrated as of he is president by the locals. This is political relevance.

If you cannot see these and more, then you're myopic

My point is that we should rather stick to one tyrant than having 36 more mini tyrants.

But I agree that due to insecurity, state police has now become an existential necessity. But the law setting it up should try enough to foreclose every loophole that the governors might exploit to turn the police under their commands to their hit men against opposition figures.

You should understand what I’m talking about considering who Nigerian politicians are.
Those measures are already in place, but the same federal govt you're calling on to limit the states policing powers are the main abusers and frustrators of that measure. The judiciary in every sane society is to act on that regard, in Nigeria today, the federal govt is the chief abuser of the judiciary.

As much as this idea sounds great due to insecurity, it will just make governors mini tyrants.

I hope they put enough checks mechanism in the law that would set it up to mitigate abuse.

APC governors will just be using state police to rig elections.

In fact, I suspect the reason they are pushing for State Police is to have enough touts that would help execute 2027 elections seeing that nobody in his right senses would vote for them except their brainless supporters.
In as much as I agree with you, there's still no basis of logic that your argument makes as to why state police ain't needed. To start with, today the federal police is being used by the federal govt and states to abuse citizens, was it not Wike under Buhari era that took over 100 police officers to reign war on Oyinbo and neighbouring communities it serves, it took the courts to save the people of rivers from the issue. One thing that is certain is that the police, which it's primary duty is to protect lives and properties, has failed woefully in such. In fact, most communities are in dissary because of this vacuum.

U09ce:
This bill is long awaited. How logical is it that the most patronised transport sector(road ) is largely unregulated! The aviation industry has NCAA, maritime has NIMASA and NIWA but road transport has nothing. Commercial road transporters should be certified before they are allowed to haul passengers and goods. Tonnage of trailers and tankers should be regulated.
This is how they've deceived you to thinking nonsense. You do not need an Act or a Bill to create an agency or parastatal of the government, insofar as their budget would be managed by another department. We have the ministry of transportation, what do they do? Can't they create an agency under him to achieve this purpose?
CrimeRe: List Of Prisons In Nigeria: Facts And Locations by RichDaniels: 8:55am On Jan 30, 2024
blueghost:
Over 98% of the people reading this subject haven’t been to prison before. The first thing that comes to an ordinary crime-free Nigerian is a mental picture of a room with Iron bar doors. Well in Nigeria, there are different types of prison. The class of people with the Jurisdiction to know about all prison types is Lawyers, judges and Police officers. A prison is designed for individuals that have broken the law.

Nice attempt, but to correct you, a child under the age of 7 cannot be arrested for a crime and under the age of 12 cannot be arrested for a sexual crime. For instance, if a child under 7, let's say 5 years old commits murder, he would be discharged and acquitted. Also, if a child who is 10 years old suddenly gets fast puberty and raped a woman, he would be discharged and acquitted. Check your criminal and penal codes.

In addition, there are no psychiatric prisons in Nigeria, an insane person that commits a crime is sent to the normal psychiatric hospitals, eg Yaba Left and others. It's technically not a prison but a recovery center. An insane person who commits a crime cannot be sent to prison, the court would sentence him to a psychiatrist pending when the psychiatrist can state that he or she is good to go

Who manages the prisons in our country?
Let’s start off with the people that manage the Prisons in Nigeria. They are the NCS, an acronym for “Nigerian Correctional Services”. They are the only body that has legal rights to operate all prisons in the country.

The Nigerian prison service has its National office located in Abuja. It would be important to also note that they don’t work alone. They work in partnership with the Ministry of Internal Affairs. NCS has offices across all 36 states of Nigeria. The prison Services has improved vastly since the British Empire left the Nigerian shores.

Their responsibilities include the following:
They ensure that all the different types of Prisons as operated as the law states.
They make sure that prisons are more secure, and that the prison staffs are doing their job effectively.
They also see to it that inmates are well escorted from prison to court and from court to prison.
Finally, they collect data and analyze data.
With over 250 million people in this country, I guess we need a lot of prisons right? Most of Nigerian prisons can carry up to 75000 people. In Nigeria, there are more males in custody than women.

What are the Types of Prisons in Nigeria?
Some criminals are dangerous, whilst others aren’t. Differences in offender personality can warrant that a person’s on custody stay indifferent prison types. Some differences could be gender-associated, age-related or maybe mental health.

The following are the different types of prisons we have in Nigeria.
Female only prisons
Security prisons
Military Prisons
Juveniles / Minor correctional Facilities
Psychiatric prisons.
Female only prisons
Nigeria has two female-only prisons. When women in the country break the law, they are sent there. The names of these two prisons are Kirikiri and Numan old prison respectively. They are located in Lagos state and Adamawa state respectively. A lady that has turned 18 years of age can be sent to either of the correctional facilities. Women in custody stay there for months, even years awaiting their trial by the court. Nigeria had only one female prison in Kirikiri up until 2017. In the year 2017, the Federal Government established its second female prison in Adamawa state. This is the aforementioned prison known as the Numan Old prison. It has a capacity of 400 inmates.
Security prisons
Security prisons in Nigeria have three main subcategories. They include minimum security, the medium-security, and the maximum-security prisons. The minimum security prisons are meant for defaulters of crimes that are not that serious. Some of these crimes include; Fraud, domestic violence and theft. The second subcategory of security prisons houses criminals. This is because they need to be locked away from society so that they can’t cause more damage. An example of the medium-security prison is the Kuje prison.
Now, the grand finale, the Maximum security prisons! This is the humble abode of all the Very dangerous people in Nigeria, I’m talking about people that have killed people, indulged in hyper-violent acts, etc. they are locked away in complete isolation from everyone. An example of a maximum-security prison in Nigeria is the Gashua Maximum Prison.

Military prison
Is a force man? Have you served in the Nigerian army, or committed Military crimes? Then, you would serve jail time in a military prison. Currently, the state of the Nigerian military prisons is nothing to write home about. So, if you are a uniform man or woman, try not to break the hedge of the law.

Juveniles/Minor correctional facilities
A juvenile in law jargon is a person below the age of criminal prosecution, which is 18 years. Nigeria has Juvenile prisons for under-aged individuals that break the law and disturb society. These places serve as correctional facilities for juvenile detainees. Amongst the 90,000 prisoners in Nigeria, there are only 2% juveniles in Prison. Juveniles are not allowed to go to the same prison that adults go to. They are always sent to a correctional facility. So if you are a small boy and think you can carry a gun and get away with it, I hope this article acts as an eye-opener. Nobody is above the law, not even 3-year-olds.

Psychiatric Prisons
An individual with mental instability that breaks the law, is always sent to psychiatric prisons. They are also given Mental health care in these psychiatric prisons. There is a major development by the federal government about this.

Now let’s take a good look at the complete list of all the prisons in Nigeria

If you believe this to be true, then you have a brain problem. Common think for once. Firstly, this cannot happen, monarchs are respected by their community people and are most often, especially in the east, bought with money. Excluding Onitsha and some other known communities, the monarch is usually the highest bidder to the king makers and is most often very wealthy. For instance, in my community, Arochukwu, the monarchy revolves around three families, the highest bidder from the three families takes it.

Also, even if that's not the case here, who hustles as a king in his full regalia, it's like saying a lawyer is hustling as an okada rider with his wig and gown to show people he is a lawyer, the king literally wore his crown 😂, if this were true, the king would have simply worn a simple clothing noted for hustling. It's obvious that this was intended to be a viral skit or acted or at best, just not making sense. Use your brain!

Good for him. Julius Berger and RCC are the best. Ngige will never be forgotten in Anambra for doing what he did in Anambra with RCC. Obi was the worst. Soludo is doing well but can still do better(in roads).
Do you think people are stupid. I can bet it that you haven't even crossed the Niger bridge not to talk of lived in Anambra, Obi was the worse, ye ye ye 🤣, what projects did Ngige do? Please, mention one. You'd hurriedly go and browse online just to keep up your point. Obi was and is still the best governor to rule Anambra, go and confirm!
