I am currently in Niger state. I work here. I know so many people are advicing you against coming here because of insecurity. I tell you my brother, Minna is a place to be. There is no security problem here in the capital. Though life can be boring here especially if you are the social type but other variables are ok. Food is cheaper compared to South West. Transport is cheaper. Your only concern should be your Job security. I have a friend here doing moderately well with NGO work. If your Job security is fine, I will advice you come.

There's no exact period or duration of getting a job even after having both exams in your hands. It's been more than two weeks now that I have been submitting applications but not positive response yet. Although it's because I'm not keen about care home jobs. I prefer NHS or private hospital jobs.
And also concerning this exams, no matter the position one is going for, the person must write this examshuh

I have experience.
I got 4 interviews.
2 paper interviews. The first was about myself, education, and career.
The 2nd was about my field,... a clinical interview.

Then I got 2 other Skype interviews. The first was about my work experience and things relating to my field and current place of work..covid19, how fast I can start blah blah
The 2nd was about their job description and then contract

It was tough I won't lie.
But my experience was asked but I don't think it's a big deal...because it was just a "by the way" question.
Wow! Thanks for your time, I also want to ask, must it be nurses that can apply for this care jobs, I'm a Social Worker, can oneaone apply with that tag as long as he or she has experience??

Would you please respond to this email if you have completed WES/ IELTS so I can track?
If you have any questions, please let me know.

What I think we need at the moment is timeline of people who got their PPR to know the current time frame of the application process.
Canada is just crazy this period, a lot of factors coming in between. While they give us their timeline

Hi. I got an offer in Swansea. Care home job.
But what I am reading about Swansea isn't isn't that pleasant. Is there anyone living in Swansea here?

Do you think I should look further? The care home contract says 3 years or if i intend to leave before then, then I will have to pay a fee of £10k.
The manager said they had to put the clause in place because a lot of their RN leave as soon as they get hospital jobs...causing constant change in staff with affect their patients.
I googled about the care home and the reviews were good but the important question is how is Swansea??. I seem to be reading lots of violence, drug, ruggedity about them online.
Where do you search for jobs please?

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Here Is Why New Applicants Don't Get NGO Jobs Often by Richdee1(m): 1:21pm On Nov 27, 2021
Npower:
Most NGOs have a budget for the stipend of their volunteers, hence, don't just accept volunteers anyhow. There should be something you want to offer as a volunteer and not just to come get the experience.
I was good with computers, so I volunteered to work as a data entry assistant in a state level NGO, while on it, I put eyes in other program areas like M&E, Proposal writing, and guess what, within 6 months, I was made an M&E Officer for one big project like that.
With that experience, I applied for a job in a bigger NGO and got it. From there, I have worked with other bigger international and indigiounous NGOs.
Today, my salary is unimaginable and most of my friends envy me but I have tried to link them to volunteer but after a month or less, they will drop because of the little stipend they get.
They want to earn like me but they don't want to start like me
Boss can you link me? I would b very grateful

I can easily afford to run unnecessary 'pet projects' very comfortably: Resurrected an older laptop that had gotten slow - 8gb RAM, 1000gb HDD. like play I opened AmzDotCom, placed an order for upgrade parts and just completed the hardware installation and operating system cloning..

I learned a whole lot along the way and experienced the huge transition in technology (I had gotten rusty, last tinkering was in naija university with my desktop and post graduation with a troublesome laptop).

I now have a factory reset windows10 system with Core-i5 8250u processor, 16gb RAM, 1000gb HDD, 256gb M.2 NVME and a dedicated graphics card... omo! the system deh flyyyy! shocked kiss
Priced for cheap: a quarter of a million naira ONLY cheesy tongue

Jobs/VacanciesRe: What Are The Pros And Cons Of Studying Social Work by Richdee1(op): 4:59pm On Nov 23, 2021
Dolarman:
Studying Social Work is not a bad idea, but you must get a very good grade to attract employers as a graduate trainee. In recent times, your qualification doesn't matter but your proficiency, smartness and cognitive level can be the game changer. I had my first and second degree in Social Work in Nigeria. Afterward, applied to different companies as graduate trainee and I was called for different test and interviews, which I eventually got an offer as community liaison officer in an oil and gas company. Just 2 month in the job, I was assigned to work with the account department to assist on some back logs. This opportunity was a game changer, as I was able to match others in performance, speed and accuracy. In no time I was converted to the department and made a Supervisor handling inventories and it had been an amazing experience. I have added other certifications to my resume and presently doing another Masters in Human Resources and planning to get certified by CIPMN. This will open better opportunities in future as learning is a continuous adventure.

Traveling is good but, but once you don't have enough to secure this, you might be living in illusion. You can try out Brandon University Manitoba. The university is relatively cheap and they have Post Graduate Studies in community Development, which I was once admitted for but unable to secure the study permit because of an unfair decision by the ECO.

Just put your best in your studies and graduate with a very good grade with the above stated qualities, you will never regret it, if you hustle smart and pray for God's favour.
I hope you see this
Please can I get your format for Graduate Trainee applications?

Thanks a lot Sir!
