placeofallure: Perdiems can be sweet o
I remember when I worked as a volunteer for one HIV/AIDS NGO, they put us in a beautiful hotel in Enugu, serve tea and sandwiches every morning, then a meal of your choice in the afternoons. They paid perdiem of 10k everyday for 2 weeks. That is aside the main money for the training o. Can't forget Enugu that year.
Now, I earn some 6 figures every month as an instructor. Don't ask me! Boss help us out here, you would be saving a lot of lives |

Miredo: The problem here, dear Richdee is that you gave the wrong information. You also said "why WE don't..." like you're already in the process. It's a good thing that you're here and you want to learn in order to prepare for your future. Shows that you are smart. But it's important that you remain humble, learn and correct yourself where necessary. If you keep on answering questions wrongly, and as if you're in this process, you end up misleading people. This is not wise. When finally, you're done with school and ready to start the process, if you fall into any problems and need clarification, no one will believe you. You will be like the boy who cried "wolf". Because you had deceived everyone previously. Also resorting to insults when corrected shows immaturity at any age. I'm sure that's not how you want to look either.
So learn, take correction, and be wise! Wishing you well. Thanks a lot boss. Never meant the insult |

Riahmah: Good day everyone. I don’t know if this is the right place to drop this but let me just try my luck. So I got an invitation to submit an application for permanent selection after submitting an EOI to Quebec and this will cost me 998CAD. I’d like to know if there’s anyone here who has gone through this process or knows one or two things about this process and how sure is the Certificate of Selection after paying that amount and how long does it take before getting this certificate?
I already read a lot on google but I need personal experience or at least hear other people’s opinions. Thank you You sabi speak french? Hope you know that's the basics It's a french speaking commission and to get job easily is if you're vast in the language That's why we hardly tick it when applying for Express entry Well you can pay and start it and tell us how it goes Congratulations |

dee1504: Good afternoon everyone. Been following this thread from the beginning and I can say, it's a great initiative by Uzland. However, I would like to answer a few questions from some of us here. Before I do that, I would like to say that I have a job offer from an NHS Foundation Trust to work as a NEUROPHYSIOLOGIST, I'm currently awaiting CoS.
1. For anyone who desires to go the HAC visa route, like some people have rightly said, your journey should begin by getting a job. These can be found on the following sites: uk.indeed.com (selects jobs with NHS tags cos they ALWAYS give CoS) jobs.nhs.uk put your preferred job role in the search box and knock yourself out with number of vacancies e.g Pharmacist, Physiologist, Psychologist, Radiographer, etc
2. To the person who studied ANATOMY, I can't categorically place you in a particular job role as I am not so familiar with where an Anatomist can work. However, I suggest searching for the keyword 'ANATOMY' and seeing what the search results bring forth. Also, you can check out the likes of 'Medical Rehabilitation' or 'Radiographer' to see if you fit in.
3. If you eventually find a job that fits you, ensure: a. you have adequate knowledge and work experience in that field(YOU WILL BE RIGOROUSLY TESTED IN YOUR INTERVIEW!!!) b. you read the Job Description and Person Specifications of that job. Try to find out how to apply for relevant professional registration for that job role (HCPC, AHCS, RCCP, GMC, NMC,etc). Just ensure that you're suitably qualified c. APPLY! APPLY!! APPLY!!! for as many as possible until ONE clicks, cos that's all you need
4. You will receive a LOT of rejections. Don't let that dampen your spirit. A lot of times, its not because you are not qualified, it could be that there is someone equally or more qualified than you in the UK who they will rather give the job to than go through the stress of employing you from Nigeria.
5. As regards job agencies, I do not believe in nor endorse them but I won't castigate them either. What works for one may not work for the other. But when an agency is asking you to pay certain amounts of money to them, that's your cue to RUN!!!
I'll do my best to answer as many questions as time permits me.
Side Note: HAC visa has become relatively easy for Nurses (RN/RM and Bsc Nursing). I'll post the process to do this, as compiled by someone else, much later.
I remain your comrade in the JAPA struggle Thank you very much, I want to ask questions When you search for a job like Social Worker and you see different openings, is there a place to let them know you're an international applicant THAT will require sponsorship? COS or immediately you get the job, it automatically comes with CoS You applied, got the job and expecting COS or it's stated in the job description?? And also, for Jobs that's regulated in the UK, how do one go about it? For my field, it's regulated, do I start applying to be part of the regulations before getting to UK, or I inform my employer or when I get there, I'll start the registration |

Akinkunmy: Whew 707!
But has anyone here heard of the Rural immigration program (you can Google it) or is there a separate thread for that.
I think it's easier to get into Canada with that program than EE. Not saying you should abandon EE. But you should consider that program as an alternative.
I don't think it requires high IELTS score (5.0 is enough) Then minimum of OND is accepted and you secure a job in Canada before you even go.
There's a 15 minutes video that explains this program in detail.
I have an aunt that went through this route. (Personally I'm working on UK Sha - study)
God help all of us. (Let me know if you need that video) Drop the video ee, But na true oo, why you never carry all your friends and family members follow the path sef? |
