The worst institution in this country is the police. There is no law that stop you from snapping a car or even the police station.
As a lawyer I advice you and fellow lawyers to follow up this case until the police pay for that. Maybe if you are not a lawyer they would have killed you and throw away the lifeless body claiming that you were killed by gunmen or ipob.

Even if the policeman is sacked, which most likely will not happen, they've still bleeped him up.

Best to be humble and polite when dealing with the police.
