Politics / Re: Is Sanusi Still Better Than Soludo? by rickross2: 7:27pm On Dec 13, 2012
There is no comparison here, Soludo is 100 times better than this retarrdded mallam, all mallam is doing is killing banks, businesses and he is about to virtually cripple our economy with bad policies.

All Soludos policies worked and made our banks forces to recon with. Before Soludo our banks were nothing to write home about but being the smart guy that he is he introduced policies that made our banks big, through soludo our banks started flooding other African countries thereby creating more jobs.

All Sanusi does is bring bad policies that has killed lots of banks and rendered thousands of bank workers jobless. Every sector of our economy today is an evidence of sanusi's bad policies. That man should be retired ASAP

We will make Ghana ungovernable - NPP

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) says it has picked intelligence that the national security is planning to arrest some party leaders over their ongoing protests.

Supporters of the party are staging series of protests as they challenge results of last week’s Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

The party claims results in some constituencies were inflated by the Electoral Commission (EC) to favor President Mahama.

General Secretary of the party, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie popularly known as Sir John said the party will make the nation ungovernable if the security agencies attempts to arrest any of its leaders.

“If they make the wrong move by arresting any of our officers, they will know no peace and this country will suffer for that", Sir John said adding “we are not scared to be arrested but if they try to arrest any of us we will make this country ungovernable.”

Meanwhile, Deputy Communications Director of the NPP, John Boadu has condemned attacks on journalists by some aggrieved NPP supporters.

A number of journalists have been attacked by aggrieved supporters of the NPP since the EC declared the presidential results on Sunday.

Some supporters have accused the media of colluding with the ruling government and the EC to steal the verdict of the people.

John Boadu in an interview with XYZ News, said such attacks on journalists are unwarranted.

Taxi driver kills five jubilant NDC supporters

The dream of a group of jubilant supporters and sympathizers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to celebrate the party's triumph at the just ended election were dashed when a taxi driver rammed his vehicle into them killing five.

The incident which occurred at Adjiriganor, block factory near Trassaco Valley estates in Accra, has left 13 others in critical condition at the Legon, Police hospitals, and the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital respectively.

The Legon District Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Frank Anning who confirmed the incident, said that, the driver, John Attu, who was driving a Deawoo taxi cab with registration number GT 1170-10 at about 12 am run into the jubilant supporters killing one on spot.

He said the driver who is being held by the police to assist in investigations, attributed the accident to brake failure.

"We are making arrangements to sent the vehicle to the testing unit of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) to ascertain the veracity of the driver's claim', Chief Anning said.

The Member of Parliament elect for the Adentan Constituency, Nii Ashie Moore who visited the injured at the hospital described the incident as unfortunate.

He said that while some of the injured persons have been treated and discharged, surgical operations were being carried out on three others who were referred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital from the Legon hospital.

‘NDC Can’t Bribe God’

"NDC can bribe everybody in this country to steal the elections but NDC cannot bribe God and the will of God will prevail, Nana Akufo-Addo and NPP would prevail”.

The above statement was what big shots of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) told the teeming supporters of the party who had gathered at Obra Spot, near Kwame Nkrumah Circle to register their strongest disapproval about what they described as “fraudulent results of the 2012 elections and unlawful declaration” of President John Dramani Mahama as the president-elect by Electoral Commission (EC) Chairman, Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan.

NPP Deputy Communications Director Sammi Awuku yesterday told party faithful that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) had bribed some group of people to help steal the mandate of Ghanaians.

However, the NDC, he pointed out, could not bribe God who had already given victory to Nana Akufo-Addo in this year’s general elections, adding that all corrupt individuals engaged in surreptitious moves to sidestep the will of God would eventually face the wrath of the Almighty.

Awuku entreated NPP supporters to remain steadfast but non-violent in ensuring that Afari-Gyan respected the will of the electorate even as the party’s leadership used all legal means to ensure Nana Akufo-Addo is declared president of Ghana.

According to the NPP, veritable evidence from just 28 out of the 275 constituencies indicated that the ruling NDC, with the connivance of the EC, doctored electoral figures, giving President Mahama undeserved votes of over 100,000 whilst at the same time reducing the votes of Nana Akufo-Addo.

This fraudulent act, NPP indicated, was widespread throughout the country which evidence the party would be adducing at the Supreme Court.

Angry NPP supporters chanted “Afari-Gyan 419, No Nana Akufo-Addo, no President” for more than six hours, waiting for the party’s leadership to address them.

Meanwhile, armed military and police personnel yesterday surrounded Obra Spot as they virtually took over the streets at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle with armoured and patrol vehicles, ostensibly to put some fear in NPP supporters.

Whilst addressing supporters, NPP General Secretary Kwadwo Owusu-Afriyie, popularly known as Sir John, entreated the party’s faithful not to engage in any violent activities that would subvert the security of the state which would invite the police or the military to brutalise them.

“Majority of Ghanaians voted for NPP and Nana Akufo-Addo. It is your legitimate right to ensure that Nana Akufo-Addo is declared the winner of this year’s presidential election but do not be destructive, do not attack cars and people who I believe voted for Nana Akufo-Addo,” Sir John admonished NPP supporters.

Receiving an enthusiastic welcome on stage, MP for Assin North Ken Agyapong further admonished NPP supporters not to take the law into their own hands in their quest to ensure that the true verdict of the majority of Ghanaians was respected.

He urged the supporters to stand firm and united until the EC reversed its decision on President Mahama by declaring Nana Akufo-Addo the true winner of the 2012 presidential election.

Former National Youth Organiser Anthony Karbo said NPP supporters would continue to mobilize, organize and fight until the true results of the 2012 elections were declared.

“We would continue fight for our rights but I urge you all not to engage in any acts of violence that would subvert the security of the nation,” he reiterated.

1) Ivorians (including Nigerians) are now refugees in Ghana. Why?

2) Apart from the waterfront in Abidjan, the rest of Ivory coast are sh1tholes infested with AIDS.

3) Ivory Coast and CFA countries are pretty much France's colony. Most of their development wasn't all financed by cocoa but by France's treasury.

4) So what if Ghana imports some products from neighboring countries? Even the USA imports vegetable and fruits. The purpose of ECOWAS is to facilitate free trade, not for Nigerians to escape poverty and despair. Doesn't Nigeria import EVERYTHING from outside? This includes petrol!! Let me repeat, PETROL!! See the irony?

MUGU, I come in and out of Ghana at random. There is no single Ivorian refugee in Ghana today. The few Ivorian refugees were opponents of the president and they have gone home since things changed.

ALL Nigerians in Ghana are middle class. You hardly see any poor Nigerian in Ghana. Every Nigerian in Ghana owns a bushiness or has something doing, they have accommodation etc, while as most Ghanaians are homeless, poor and jobless. A great percentage of Nigerians in Ghana are Billionaires and Millionaires, there is no poor Nigerian in Ghana. Last time i checked, the poor Nigerians you are talking about are the ones who own all the big shops, hotels, restaurants, car shops, IT firms, electrical/electronic shops, banks, airlines and the owners of the only world class cinema in Ghana? The FACT is, Nigerians in Ghana are 10 times richer than Ghanaians in Ghana, this is a FACT and this is where the envy and jealousy comes from.

What about the Ghanaian refugees in Togo and other neighboring countries?

It doesn't matter whether Ivory Coast and CFA countries are pretty much France's colony or not. FACT is, Ivory Coast is at least 5 times more developed than Ghana and Ivory Coast does not have any gold or oil like Ghana.

Abrantie:

So true. What usually happens is

1) A Nigerian who has never been to Ghana would continuously trash Ghana due to his ego and false sense Nigeria's superiority.

2) He arrives in Ghana and immediately starts to compare physical structures, especially Accra airport to say, his Bumfukck sh1thole state's. His false sense of Nigeria's grandeur grows larger along with his ego. Never would it occur to him that, his country has had 50 years of oil money (which is a lot) flow into her national coffers and should have been developed like South Africa by now.

3) So he steps out of the airport and moves around Accra. He notices the lack of crowds and relatively "slow" pace of life. Things and people are, for the most part, organized, peaceful and civil. Our Nigerian traveler likes that, but he sees it as Ghana's lack of enlightenment. I mean, why should he queue patiently to enter a vehicle when he always took a "shortcut" in big bad Lagos? Ghanaians must be stoopid, he says to himself.

4) For the first time in his life though, our visitor is able to stay up past 6pm and enjoy a simple evening stroll. In the neighborhood he stayed, kids played well into the night, young women strolled and hanged around by themselves without fear. In his room, he cranks up the aircon full blast and reminisces about his hot and dark shack back in Bumfukk Nigeria.

5) The days went by and our visitor ventures out of Accra. He's impressed with the journey, the landscape and roads. He passes through a few checkpoints and never once did the police harass him or asked for bribes. He starts to think, "Hmm... me thinks I can live here".

6) At his destination, he laments how "poor" and undeveloped it looks. He compares it to another Bummfukk city in Nigeria. Yup! that same Bumfukk city without electricity where he was robbed, kidnapped, beaten and bombed. But to our visitor, it's better because of two 5-storey buildings occupied by, what else?... banks. Oh, Bumfukk City also has a dilapidated structure called an "international airport" which hardly gets used because no airline with half a business sense would fly there.

7) Weeks passes by and our visitor has pretty much toured most of Ghana because, after all, it's a small country. His ego is still giant-sized. Although he's still proud about his Naija, he has learned one important lesson -- peace and security bring happiness.

Story of your life part 1, oya start part 2 asap.
Its on a Nigerian website you are ranting, why not go to ghanaweb? When will you lazy folks learn to be productive? You are waiting for a Nigerian or white man to set up a standard forum for you?

With your small population and all the money you have made from cocoa, gold, diamond etc, you should be more developed than south africa you are talking about.
Go to ivory coast that has no oil, but derives its revenue from cocoa, go there and see how developed and civilized they are with good road network, running water etc. Unlike ghana that still imports everything including Ghana must go bags to export your cocoa, onions from niger, carrot from togo, cucumber from Burkina Faso etc?

With all the media hype you would think ghana is a developed nation, but as they say, seeing is believing. The entire country has no single world class infrastructure, everything in your country is last world, no running water, bad roads everywhere, it took USA intervention to build few motorways in ghana, traffic from mile 7 to malam used to last 4 hours. The entire country of ghana has only 7 fly overs when lagos has 20 something and counting? You are worried about our oil money? Why not worry that smaller West African nations like Ivory Coast and Senegal that has no oil, gold and diamonds like ghana is far more developed than ghana?

Your population is under 25 million and you cannot feed yourself, no running water, no roads, no infrastructure and you cannot even conduct peaceful election, the best thing is for you to go for all out war because you are bunch of useless gorillas you are of no use to Africa apart from sakawa rituals, trokosi ritual degree etc

The NPP candidates believe the election was rigged, and i think its true. Our own OBJ went to Ghana to cause wahala. Same day he landed in ghana he went to visit the president and the everyone condemns this act, bc being the chief observer you are not supposed to visit any candidate till the elections are over. There are many areas OBJ didn't allow media to show face since he claims he wields so much power as AU Observer or whatever.

The election was rigged to favor the ruling party, and now everyone is telling the opposition party to chill out and accept defeat so that people will call ghana good names
Life is becoming unbearable to average ghanaian and they really needed a change of government. most people I know in Ghana voted for the opposition party. I told my wife no matter how many people that voted the opposition their votes wont matter bc its almost impossible to win a sitting president in Africa no matter how we pretend about ghanas democracy, Africa will always be africa and this is a clear example.

Akufo-Addo Demands Power-Sharing …tells AU Chairman I Can’t Survive with This Shameful Defeat Again

Snippets of information reaching the Crystal Clear Lens is that Akufo-Addo the defeated Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will not accept his loss and is feverishly planning an evil and a blood shedding agenda that will help him taste power after miserably lossing to President John Mahama, the NDC’s Candidate in the 2012 elections.
Our sources close to the defeated but very desperate flag bearer revealed to the paper that Akufo-Addo told the African Union Chairman and President of Benin, H.E Thomas Yayi Boni point blank that he will not accept this defeat again and will do everything possible to taste political power which he has been dying for, even if it will mean shedding innocent blood. His close confidants told us that Akufo-Addo could not contain the defeat which he described as shameful and too embarrassing and is demanding for a power-sharing agreement just like the Kenya scenario though most of the party top hierarchy are against his evil plans of sending the country into chaos.
According to the information, the plan of the Akufo-Addo were rejecting the results just as he did yesterday and head to the supreme court today and when the Supreme court rejects his petition, then he will ask their supporters to embark on series of agitations to make the nation ungovernable.
After these plans which were nursed by the flag bearer before the elections succeed he will then demand for a power sharing deal like what happened in Kenya.
Akufo-Addo, therefore endorsed his errant supporters resorting to violence and killing of NDC supporters across the country and told them that he won the elections and nothing could stop him from becoming the president of Ghana. Akufo-Addo’s speech yesterday suggested he want to go the Ouattara-style presidency which saw the deaths of thousands and many mass graves in Cote d' Ivoire. The NPP flag bearer, who is the author of “The Stolen verdict” against ex-president Jerry John Rawlings in the 1992 elections, says no matter how long it takes, the leadership of his party will contest the results of the just ended presidential elections in which he was defeated. Addressing a charged crowd at the Obra Spot near the Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Akufo-Addo said “we know we won this election” adding, “we are not going to retreat from the decision that we have taken.”
In 2008, the NPP leading in only two out of 10 regions almost declared itself winners of the elections. The two regions were Ashanti and Eastern regions.
In Cote d' Ivoire, President Ouattara for a year cut off the northern parts of the country from the rest, took power in April 2011 with at least 3,000 people killed and 150 women raped during the conflict period, often in targeted acts perpetrated along political, ethnic, and religious lines.
At 69, and knowing this year’s elections offered him the last opportunity of realizing his dream of becoming president like his late father, a former president of Ghana under the Busia regime, Akufo-Addo, has decided to stop at nothing to ensure his dream comes into fruition against the will of Ghanaians.
However, his earlier attempts in 1998 and in the 2008 elections floundered and therefore he sees this third time attempt, as he himself succinctly puts it at Koforidua last year, an ‘all-die-be-die’ and winning the elections at all cost which Ghanaians rejected.

Ghana is experiencing constitutional and electoral coup d’état – Dr. Bawumia

The running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the 2012 general elections, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has announced that Ghana is now experiencing constitutional and electoral coup d'etat.

“In the nineteen seventies we had military coup d’états and dictatorships; Nana Akufo-Addo was at the fore front of the fight for democracy and we delivered democracy... today instead of military coup d’états you are having constitutional and electoral coup d’état.”

The NPP running mate revealed that the party, “after the votes of December 7 discovered clear incontrovertible monumental electoral fraud against the people of Ghana.”

He made the comment when the leadership of the party addressed a gathering of NPP supporters at the ‘Obra Spot’ in Accra to demand clarification on the next line of action from the party leaders with regards the final results from the elections.

According to Dr. Bawumia, “the integrity and the sanctity of our democracy is being undermined and it is therefore time to get up and stand together to defend the democracy of this country.”

Dr. Bawumia said the NPP “cannot stand for it; we have to protect the future of this country, we cannot allow this to happen and this is why we are pursuing all legal means necessary to make sure that this stealing of the mandate of the people is over turned. And this is why we are asking all of you to come together to make sure you support the leadership of this party as we prosecute this particular case through all legal means necessary.”

Thieving President Mahama Caught! …Steals 51, 325 Votes In Just Ten Constituencies!

President John Dramani Mahama and his National Democratic Congress (NDC) have committed a great crime against the nation and people of Ghana. They have committed what can only be described as high treason and a coup d’etat with the active help and connivance of the Electoral Commissioner! It is the grand larceny of politicking!

A breakdown of tally sheets compiled by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the various polling stations as against the constituency figures presented by the regional offices of the EC to the people assembled at the strongroom of the EC in Accra, and subsequently certified by the ubiquitous Kwadwo Afari Gyan as certified true results, would leave many Ghanaians bug-eyed in shock and fighting for breathe! This newspaper can reveal that in just ten constituencies, Dr. Afari Gyan and his officials at the EC gave John Dramani Mahama over fifty thousand votes (51,325 votes!). Striking national averages with that figure over 275 constituencies, John Mahama may have benefitted from what can only be described as the grand larceny of politicking. He may have stolen as much as 1.4 million votes!

But whilst he was stealing votes and denying Ghanaians the mandate, John Mahama was also actively stealing the votes and pulling the wind out of the sales of his principal opponent, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The same data, the compilation of which is likely to be completed before the end of the week, shows that in just two constituencies, the EC officials and John Dramani Mahama fleeced Nana off nearly three thousand five hundred votes (3,478 votes!). Striking national averages, Akufo Addo may have suffered from having as many as 470, 000 thousand votes deleted from votes that he legitimately earned! The cruelty and heartlessness with which the fraud has been perpetrated would surely leave many Ghanaians breathless!

This newspaper can reveal that for instance in Tamale South, John Dramani Mahama (JDM) polled 37,832 votes, but what the EC told the world was that he had earned 53,536 votes! The difference is 15,704 created out of thin air by the ‘add and drop’ artists hired by John Mahama.

At Lower Manya Krobo, JDM recorded an actual vote of 23,520, but had the figure 30,183 recorded in his name. The difference created out of thin air is 6663. At Techiman North, JDM received actual votes of 10,519 but had 16,329 votes placed against his name. Votes created out of thing air are 5,810. Yilo Krobo JDM recorded 21,772 in actual votes, but had the figure 29,300 recordeD in his name. The difference from which he benefitted is 7,528 votes. At Akropong constituency, John Mahama got actual votes of 9,638 votes, but the figure 15, 389 was what was recorded for him. That meant that he had an excess vote of 5,751 votes, created out of thin air!

At Berekum West, the actual vote was 7,823 votes cast for JDM, but his Merlins gave him 9.091. The excess votes from thin air were 1,268. At Kintampo South, JDM got 12,890 votes in actuality, but had Afari Gyan and his wizards crediting him with 16,488 votes. The balance JDM received as ‘bonus’ for paying huge judgment debts to EC officials was 3,598. At Upper West Akyem, JDM received actual votes of 15,540, but had 19,128 votes being recorded by Afari Gyan and friends (consultants extraordinaire). The ‘joyful’ votes on that one were 3588.

At Mpohor, JDM recorded 7,550, whist EC officially released the figure of 7955. The balance that fell from the sky was 405 votes.

At Yendi,JDM recorded 20, 658 votes cast for him in actual terms, but the figure of 21,668 was what was released by the EC. JDM thus benefitted from 1,010 votes he never worked for.

Put together, in just ten constituencies, the total figure totaled a frightening 51,325 votes, far larger than the number of votes recorded by many constituencies in Ghana as total votes!

But that was not the whole story. Whilst Afari Gyan and officials of the EC were creating votes for John Mahama, they were also stealing votes from Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.

At Berekum West Constituency, Nana recorded actual votes cast of 10, 539, but what was announced by the EC was 7,750, meaning Nana lost 2,789 votes! At Yendi, Nana recorded 27, 678 votes, but had the figure 26, 989 put against his name, robbing him off a valuable 689 votes he had earned!

With all this, it is no wonder that JDM says that he is grateful to God!

The ugliest president Nigeria has ever produced.

And he is the most greedy of them all. At the same time, he loves power more than any other president in Nigeria. He virtually wanted to make himself a life president. No other president has ever stolen 18 billion dollars in the name of IPP and yet he never produced a single kilowatt.

He just disgraced himself in Ghana and AU has vowed never to send him on any observer mission again bc the man is extremely corrupt. The opposition party in Ghana just went to court yesterday bc they have evidence of electoral fraud and all fingers are pointing to the same OBJ.
He should go back to otta farm and continue feeding with the monkeys and gorillas in his farm. Those primates needs him, Nigerians does not need these crop of greedy bastards anymore...

I do respect peoples opinion, but can you pagans and idol worshipers make your points without cursing black people.

Its on record most countries that worship idol/voddoo are the most backward on earth, look at Haiti for example. Togo and Benin are good examples as well. In Togo and Benin 90% of their footballers do these things in the hope of getting good clubs overseas, but behind their back they know its wrong.

If the God these people are worshiping is true and good God why are they poorer than poor?

If you look closely, most people that do these things are either fake Christians or fake Muslims. Look at some of them with Muslim chaplets, what does that tell you? It is not that they do not know that there is only one true God (JEHOVAH) These mostly illiterate people worship juju to get quick fame/power.

I am Igbo, our fore fathers did similar things. My grand father died at the age of over 100 years. Before he died he confirmed that they used to perform similar sacrifices to the God of sun of thunder etc. My grandfather confirmed that even before the white men came to Nigeria with their religion, they already know that THERE IS ONE SUPREME GOD THAT CREATED THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH.

rampant lover: Top investments destination blah blah blah, FDI blah blah blah all diz ain't nuttin if da masses are not benefiting. Politicians luv to assemble word 2geda to mek tins luk gud n only a fool will pay dem any attention.

Go to ghanaweb and rant, this is Nairaland for Nigerians only. This is good news for Nigeria, if it pains u pls go kill yourself.
If you are ranting about poor government then go kill all your leaders in Ghana. OBJ just helped the sitting president rig your election and u cannot talk about that, you rather choose to rant about Nigerias FDI. On many other posts u were ranting how Ghana is a shinning light bla bla bla, and i confronted u and told u eventhough our government doesnt make noise but ghana can never get close to our FDI anyday. I am glad u are reading this news, if it pains u go hug a transformer..
