regby: There's a good chance the VO will request for it. Remember I told you I almost didn't take mine, and the VO requested for it, a grad student that didn't have his with him, was denied as soon as he said he didn't bring it to the interview. Think its a new trend at the embassy.Yea, I remember you told me that too, and I read some post here about how some peeps experienced the same issue too during their interview experience, But since he doesn't have the certificate, then he should pray & hope they won't request for it. |
kunlebal: very hectic bro, boarded Qatar Airline, my plane left lagos around 3pm and landed Doha around 12am and my connecting flight is 8am in the morning, omo na to sleep inside doha international airport till morning oooooooo.Wow!!! We thank God for journey mercy.. Obio u try ooooo. Una sleep inside airport. Lol. Thank God say my connecting flight was just an hour away, so immediately I came down from Lagos to Dubai flight, we started boarding quickly from Dubai to JFK NewYork. No wasting time tins. Yeah, you nearly missed that flight oooo. It seems you didn't encounter much probs @ the POE in JFK NewYork like the way I did.. Welcome to the United States of America!!!!!!!! |
kunlebal: sup ricky how u deyI'm good bro. Congrats sirr. Welcome to Obamaland. Hw was your journey? Hope you enjoyed the flight? I know it must have been hectic for you considering the distance from Nigeria to the United States. |
BannyE: Can I present a photocopy of my waec result to the V.O when is been requested for. Am actually going for my graduate studies. I can't find my original copy right now.Photocopies of Documents are NOT acceptable @ the US embassy. The VO will still need to see the ORIGINALS. Since you going for masters studies, there is a high Chance that your WAEC won't be requested!. The VOs request WAEC cert more from undergrad students! |
Hey guys can you pls recommend good books in essay writing that can post some1 grades in the sat essay writing..if you've used a particular book that helped, do recommend .thanks
I think Kaplan is good for the Essay writing of the SAT. They have different Essay Tips and strategies. Purchase the "Kaplan SAT, Practice, Strategies & Review" You will see lot of essay format on that textbook and how well you can build your own essay and be a good eassay writer. I practiced wth kaplan for my essay in the SAT and I scored high! |
Hello guyz I Want to use this medium to wish my brother from anothr mother Bigfrancis, The Boss of NL, a safe and enjoyable journey to Obamaland today. He is already enroute to the states. Can't wait to officially welcome my Boss into the United states when his flight touches down tomorrow! Abeg, Oga Bigfrancis I wan do my own back. Lol. No go act osuofia in london part 3 for airport ooooo. because earlier today on bbm, you told me your luggage is above the baggage limit, 46kg. Chineke, Wetin u carry, You dey transport human head. Loool. When my luggage was even weighing 34kg before I had to split it into 4 places for it to reach the required baggage limit of 23kg. E be like say Bigfrancis wan carry the whole market for 9ja go US ooooo. Lmaoooo. I knw say you be typical igbo man, No be spear part u wan go sell for yankee oooo. Na book u wan go read oooo. Lol. I sure say enough food stuffs and choppies go dey inside that bag! Bigfrancis looking like a Bag of money. ![]() Safe journey bro! Enjoy your flight with flyemirates. And make sure you eat anything eatable in that flight. Infact order the entire plane self. Lool. And also remember say na toilet u go dey deposit am dey go oooo!!! Looool. As u receive from flyemirate, So shall you deposit out and give back to the sea by feeding the shark and fishes. Lol |
mikemillz: No pee bro, i dey down for anytin.. my inteview is on thursday and am leaving for abuja on monday, abe u get anybody for abuja wey u fit connect me to wey i fit stay with till i finish this whole process, if i decide to hang out in a hotel, money dey burn be that and i no know abuja well like that, plus u know say i go need stay extra days after the interview to pick the visa up if approved, abeg i need serious help on this.I wish you success in your upcoming interview! Regarding the other issue, I don't know anyone in abuja. I did my visa interview in lagos and I live in lagos, I even still slept in an hotel a day before the interview since my house is far from the embassy. I think what you should do is to contact family or friends if they know of anyone in abuja you can stay with for sometime till you pick up your visa, if that doesn't work, then I must say, you have to start looking for a very cheap hotel close to the embassy. That's the main reason why we recommend that you book your Visa appointment location in a place close to your home. So matters like this won't have arised. Since you stay in lag, you should have booked a Visa appointment date in lagos embassy, to make tins easy for yourself. |
imperiouxx: Yea, winter plus wind raising dust. Walmart sells different kinds but don't think those bell pepper is the same as those in Nigeria, except you see "organic" on it.Okay bro. Thanks alot. Will check em out! |
Idazbawz: i dont even knw how to send a pm...Click on my NL Name now. And go to the part that says send message to Ricky Rozay. Then u got ur Boss coming thru from there. That's wats up! |
imperiouxx: Yea, time switching is easy to get over. I got itches (reactions to hyper-chemically treated water) and bleeding nostrils (accommodating to winter) first 2 1/2 months I got here.Exactly!!!! OMG!! U gotta be kidding me. Lool. Bleeding nostril. The cold tackle u well oooo. Lol Regarding tomatoes, I saw some @ one african store not too far from my school tho, but they might be expensive compared to walmart that is way cheaper. Will check if walmart do sell fresh tomatoes. |
Lol...I should have been thrifty...and to think say I be Igbo man. How's Minnesota treating you?
Yea, Minnesota has been good all the way bro. Not bad. The weather is becoming moderate gradually.. I even get mind dey do work inside snow on christmas day.. Lol |
imperiouxx: You will need to spend at least 9 months before all your systems can fully adapt if you're the fast adaptable type. Coping with the seasons (winter-summer-winter), time zone, water, food etc takes gradual process.Boss, there is something you need to know about me, I'm a Born stunner. I can survive anywhere, even if you throw me inside Forest or desert gan. Hahahahahaha. Lool. Regarding the time zone, I have tackled that, I now sleep in US time comfortably, Water, that one has also been settled! Food - I really need to work on this ooo. You don catch me for here. I already told myself before coming here that I must not eat anyhow and not eat things i don't know, make I no go fat like cow. And also anytin burger and pork meat is out of the line for me here. Mehn their food here fit give person night mares oooo. Lool. Thank God I still dey knack my Eba and Egusi wth Ogbono soup and Rice and stew for the meantime. yaaayy. |
Yes, like RR rightly said he can easily get it at a cheaper price. Looking back now, e be like GIEVA don chop my friend money! 2013 edition? Is it the one with yellow cover and a picture of a white girl studying?
Yes bro, It is very expensive @ Gieva. During my time, they told me the kaplan SAT text book cost about 12k. Omo na race I tear ooooo. Lol. I bought mine online @ amazon tho! |
Idazbawz: I have SAT KAPLAN textbook i can sell to you @ cheap price, also TOEFL barron textbook... Let me knw if yur interestedUna wan turn here to Alaba market abi. Loooool. |
Thanks for your 2cents.lol.. which do u recommend tho, Barron's? Plus do u think it's necessary I get the official sat guide..thanks boss.
You will need to get an Official SAT guide, so you can ace the SAT test. Believe me, you won't wanna go to the test centre Unprepared. Barrons is good. You can also check out Collegeboard SAT guide too. But try to prepare with different Practice questions before your SAT test, so you can get familiar with the questions format and strategies on how well you can tackle and Ace the SAT test! Cheers! |
Deolu Go to the nearest GIEVA office and get a copy of Barron's SAT, it's NGN 8,100 or thereabout. I hope your question has been satisfactorily answered.
He doesn't need to purchase the Barron SAT materials @ GIEVA for that price. It's quite expensive there. All he simply needs to do is to go to the nearest bookstore close to his home and purchase it there. He can get a good deal there. For like 2k to 4k for the Barrons SAT materials. If he stays @ ikeja or close to ikeja, he can get those SAT materials @ Ikeja under bridge for 2k to 4k. Or @ Yaba Market bookstores. |

Mystiqme: Ricky Rozay and nethacker, y'all in the northeast? How una see this festival of snow?Mehn, bro this snow is killing... Person no fit walk outside for up to 5 minutes, cold go dey enter your body, especially your hands wey go stiff like ice block.. That hurts so bad! |
nethacker: haha hahaCar, that's gonna cost me alot.. Considering the fact I'm just new here. Sent you a PM bro. |
imperiouxx: I told you guys coming to US (red zone) the first time. Xmas there is really boring because the snow and crazy cold in it will kill your morale for fun for the next 2 months. This especially for those going to the red zone (with lowest temperature) like MN, MI, SD etc at far north.Mehn, you guys were 100% right my brother. Thank you. The cold tough for here no be small. I heard winter is gonna be off by nxt year March or May and start again in November. I Just met with Webstradamus on here on NL in Minnesota yesterday, he did his graduation yesterday and graduated with a masters degree from my school. So he gave me a thick winter coat and hand glooves to help me with the cold. Thanks to him. He's a great guy! I also bought this head warmer hat 2 days ago @ walmart store for $4. So the cold doesn't really affect my ears much. The part of my body where the cold dey really deal with me here na for my body and hands... |
