Turkey calls on International forces to conquer Jerusalem: ‘Zechariah’s Gog-Magog prophecy’

After a cabinet meeting at the Presidential Complex in Ankara late Monday, Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a media conference in which he called on the UN, UN Security Council, Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and other international organizations to take action focusing on wrestling Jerusalem away from Israel.

“At this point, we believe there’s a need for a separate arrangement on Jerusalem. To achieve lasting peace and tranquility in Jerusalem, which contains the indispensable religious symbols of Muslims, Jews, and Christians, everyone must make sacrifices,” Erdogan said.

“In today’s circumstances, it would be the most correct and consistent course of action for Jerusalem to be administered by a commission of representatives from the three faiths. Otherwise, it doesn’t appear it will be easily possible to achieve lasting peace in this ancient city,” he added.

Erdogan has frequently made disturbing claims on Jerusalem as a Turkish birthright, perhaps based in the area once being part of the Ottoman Empire from 1516 to 1917.

“In this city that we had to leave in tears during the First World War, it is still possible to come across traces of the Ottoman resistance. So Jerusalem is our city, a city from us,” he said in a major policy speech in 2020. “Our first qibla [direction of prayer in Islam] al-Aqsa and the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem are the symbolic mosques of our faith.”

In his speech on Monday, Erdogan referred to Israel as a “terror state.”

“This terror state, that has encroached on the privacy of Jerusalem on the one hand, while ruthlessly bombarding civilians in Gaza and leveling a colossal building housing media groups on the other, is Israel,” said Erdogan.

Luke 19:41-44 is clear and some translations explained it better but there is a prophetic dimension that preceded that account and it is in the old testament. The ignorance of the Jews, just like today that they still reject Christ, is responsible for the siege.
That Jews, especially the Pharisees, did not remember the prophecy in the book of Zechariah that foretold the triumphant entry of the Prince of Prince and didn't recognise the Lamb of God while they were having their Passover feast with the Lamb (Ileya) on the 10th Day of Nisan with is 6th of April ,32 AD when it was calculated and converted to the Gregorian calendar.

And while the Apostles sing Hosana, the Jews were more interested in their faaji and Christ wept and made that pronouncement on Israel. It came to pass in 70 AD and till today, they are still living inside the embankment Christ himself pronounced in Luke 19:41-44

Meanwhile, let's stop perpetuating ignorance. Isreal is not a Christian nation and has never been. Judaism is 74%, Islam is 17% and Christians are in the minority of 4%. My city of Lagos is more Christian than Isreal. Now it's about the character of their leader and this time, he was shocked that the international community did not allow it and expect more justice for the Palestinians in days to come. Let them have the 2 states solution that has been proposed for years and opposed by Netanyahu.

US had donated cash directly and indirectly up to $500 Billion yet Isreal has not grown and developed even near as much as Norway!

They don't have a good leader in Netanyahu and I just see the sense in why he lost the election and now on investigation for corruption.

If I remember correctly, your Bible says that a man is not justified by his outward works.

Even as I do not seek to invalidate his altruistic works (I kind of liked his programme when I lived in Abuja), I think we also need to realize that as humans, we are not inherently perfect or good ( most times, the so-called 'good' we do stems from our selfish desires to be known, to please others to get liked, or to cover up a sin of the past). Romans 3:10 says, there's no one that is good, no one.

True justice exists in a system where one's wrong isn't overlooked because he's done 'right' in the past. That's how God thinks even! He said in Ezekiel that if a righteous man does evil, he isn't blinded by the good works of the past as to not hold him accountable. Why am I making references to these? I do so objectively and without sentiments. The man openly assaulted the woman, which is wrong. That he is a HUMAN RIGHTS activist should make him more accountable. Whether he is seen as the Jesus Christ of the present day who 'sacrifices' himself for others or not is immaterial.
