My brother's friend, a US- based Nurse, who was holidaying in Nigeria, was accosted by policemen in Lagos. After identifying himself, they demanded he hands his phone to them to search, which he did. They went straight to his SMS to check and when they saw tens of millions of Naira as his account balance, matter change o. He was told to part with 200K or else they would pin something on him. When he refused, they said he should follow them to the station. He was like " Bro, lets go, I ain't giving y'alls nuthin" .

In short, I leave the rest to your imagination what happened after they framed him up at the station at Ikeja. This dude is a well-spoken, highly intelligent professional nurse who has lived in the US for more than twenty years.

At the end of the ordeal, after so many threats, intimidation and time wasting, he gave them 300k just to leave that station. Imagine if he had resisted the phone-check in the first place

As I said, pray not to have an altercation with determined SARS men. Giving them your phone to frisk is the worst decision you would make especially if your SMS alerts show that you have money, trust me. Those guys will extort you whether you're clean or not.

I wonder oh.. If truly he doesn't have anything to hide, no reason whatsoever for him not to unlock his phone. Most of these guys have battered our image externally and it keeps getting worse as everyone's now into it.
But then one must be careful when one hands phone for them to check, they can be trickery atimes. I was stopped once like that and the police after checking my phone my email and see nothing to incriminate me on, he went to my hangouts (without contacts on it oh) and starts inviting some foreign numbers to it. Thankfully I was right beside him when he was checking and when he asked me who those contacts are, I told him, I don't know them. And if actually they were my contacts he wouldn't need the invite any new contacts. After some shakara, he gave me my phone and I left. These people are hell if one isn't confident or clean, but once clean you have nothing to worry about..

Nigeria is getting worse everyday. Executives, legislators, Judiciaries and citizens in a general are CORRUPT AND WORSE IN ALL RAMIFICATIONS. I dare to say we are getting what we deserve. What I'll just say us that God continue to guide our paths so we won't fall victims of these terrible disease.

Especially those in the United States, they have no trust in us at all. Whereas this internet fraudster of a thing is going to stay for a while if not eternal because everyday, we youths are not motivated To make money Legitimately rather we want a fast life as our friends are doing. The government could have stopped this since 2010 when all these things are still in embryo, but now that it's escalated, it's hard to curb. So I don't blame them SARS for unleashing their terrors in this regard.. However, I do blame them because they're not doing it with utmost good faith, rather because they are corrupt too and they want to extort corrupt youths with there guns.

A lot of things is wrong with this country and atimes I regret being a citizen.

Depression is real truly. I've been depressed in the past and I can tell how terrible it is. To the extent whenever I remember those times, it sends some chill to my spine. I remember how I felt my head was growing large like it was going to burst. I remember how hot it gets whenever I locked myself in my room thinking of being jobless and where I had laid my hope, nothing was coming fort. But then, it was never to the extreme of thinking suicide.

The point is, I have come realize why people commit suicide. I think this thread has even more imbibed that. We cannot blame those who commit suicide really, as we cannot see true their prism. Sometimes when we lay too much hope on a certain thing without no alternative and at then at the end it doesn't come as expected, such thing tends to hit us hard to the extent we start to think of our purpose in life and the need to exit, after all it's useless. This reason why I'll not blame people for this is that, I'm not in their shoe to see what's going on. Like those who are living life comfortably will be quick to call those who commit suicide cowards and all sorts of name. It was easy for them because one way or the other they are sustaining themselves. But a graduate with all requirements, not getting a job. Finding it hard to even eat once a day. Not having money to travel to further search for job. Being slandered by family and all that, will definitely cause depression. Definitely when one starts seeing those who one is even better than doing well more than one, you will definitely feel depression and you will start looking at yourselves like yuoe're useless and purposeless.

However my own solution to this is that we need to build a strong self esteem. With strong self esteem, you'll never see yourself low. And for whatever reason you'll keep on going amidst all adversities. And also their is need to cut back on social media. No doubt when you see people of your category doing better than you definitely will get depress and ask how you've been miserable. And although with self esteem you'll likely not see it that way, but then it's better of.

But as for those who commit suicide because of rejection from partner, that's understandable but IMO, foolish decision.

So I believe they would go for the most acceptable and just option- A south east presidency.
Nobody in pdp can kick against that for too long, so there would be a unification of purpose to crush any opposition to that agenda.

I think Peter obi or Dave Umahi would be chosen.
