YOUNGHAJJI:He's not entirely right. Unless your parents have connections in high places, anything less than 2:1 will make the labor market a bit hard for you. Plus the need to get some highly recognized certificates that's in line with your field of study. |
Kylekent59:All these your retortions shows only one thing and it's that you didn't have neither first class nor second PL class upper, the major reason why you're castigating the whole thing. If at all you're going to mention how grades doesn't determine you getting job easily or getting better than those with 3rd class, you ought to put it last and not as you did here. Life is a stage by stage, you go to school first before hunting for job. And whereas, the grades doesn't determine it truly if not grace, but definitely it's a prerequisite; a very important one. So you could have told the OP to read hard and try as much as possible to make 2:1 because, the job market is competitive and only those with good grades are considered before those with lower grades are ever thought of. Then you're to tell him that aside the important, it is important that the OP acquire a skill so as to boost his chances of getting the job, because competition in the job market is now the survival of the fittest and not just based on the certificate alone rather what more and more one can offer. Afterwards you can now tell him how grace matters in the hunting too, as those with lower grades and less skills with grace can surpass those with first class. MR op, learn a skill, put it in your cv, and get that dream Job.Good grade on your Certificate is important too, because that's always the first requirement. I have a cousin who graduated with 3rd class and she is working in GTB bank. Her skill got her the job and not her cert."No be by certificate but by Sabi-ficate."In the first case, GTBank will not for whatever reason recruit someone will 3rd because I'm certain it's not going to be in the recruitment requirement. Either she attained a masters degree or that they breached the process just to fit her in. Maybe because like you said, she sabi somebody in the system. Now tell me, is it every student that sabi somebody in the system? No. It's only when you father hold millions of share at gTBank that you can settle for less like 3rd class. But those of us that our father are peasants and our mothers are petty traders who Don't sabi anybody in the government or anyone at any company, it's always good for us to try our best by all means to have a good grade. With that and grace, everything will come good for us. Besides, I'll like you to tell me the skills the lady acquired before GTBank recruited her. Please. |
akdjr: hahahaha |
Gbengee:Care to share how they apply? Or the name of the scholarship please? |
xammax:If you're able to maintain your 4.73 till you graduate, that makes you the best. What other best do you want? Besides, studying accounting is interesting. I'm studying finance here, in my penultimate year and we do virtually everything together except that we do more of banking related courses. I noticed 100 and 200level are easy to because it's all more like still regurgitating on secondary school subjects, but in 300 level, they'll take it to advance level and you're expected to cope. In essence, what I'm trying to say is that, even maintaining your current CGPA is a task on it's own talk more of leaving the real deal and chasing a fellow. What is more important is to focus on yourself now. How you'll combat the last 2 stages as the level gets tougher as it progresses. What I'll advice you is to make friends with him so you guys can do things together and by that you two can maintain the good GP that you have. That should be more important now and not trying to overtake anyone. |
As much as I wouldn't want PDP in Kano, this Gandollar bastard must go. He's a shameless cuckoo. |
Themhi1:It's right there on the message box now, just click on any which one you want to use and it's done. Abi which emoji are you referring to? |
VERTEX1:Maga better run for your life |
Themhi1:It's obvious. ![]() Read your previous post and I was just laughing. I was once in your shoe. Even currently I have that's just like this girl you're giving joy. Lolol. Maybe the girl's been eyeing me all these while I don't know, so just because we sat for exam and I asked her a question which she replied, the following day she picked my contact from WhatsApp group and texted me, thanking me for what I did for her in the exam Hall. I was like, shebi you were the one that helped me and I should be the one thanking you, she said I wouldn't understand. And since then we started talking. And she would asked me how my day went, what I ate and all that. She's just totally into me and wanted me to tell her I love her and that we should be dating. Me that I already know what she wants, I would just deflect whenever she brings love topic. ![]() |
Nathdoug:Don't be a doofus, that happened in Bayelsa not in Ijebu. |
johnydon22:You're veering off the main argument now. Like I said earlier, age is not specified as regards marriage in islam, what the Sharia state is whenever the parties are physically, financially and emotionally ready for it. Since age is not specified, we can then from our societal norms and cultures develop our own age of physically and emotionally fit for marriage. Thsi^ is not too hard to comprehend I suppose. |
johnydon22:That was a mistake, I've corrected it. You are theist right? I do not think you should find anything morally wrong with this action since in theism morality isn't defined by the society but by a transcendent authority. The Quran did not specify the age of marriage for either party, What the Sharia mentioned is whenever the individuals feel ready, financially and emotionally. So what transcendental authority are you referring to in this regard ![]() |
malvisguy212:I would not do that because we are no longer in the 6th century. Lots of things have changed over time and there's a change in the societal rules and norms. We are in a different part of the world here with a different societal rules and norms. You quite know such marriage of 54 year old man marrying a 9year old girl was the order of the day back then and no one sees any wrong in it. The major reason why someone said earlier on on this thread that had it been it was worse back then as you're trying to paint it now, those his haters would have come hard on him with great criticism that will be attached to history books for eternity, but because it was the norms and culture back then, no one saw Amy wrong and everything went by. You know quite well these is a fact but you still out of your hatred for anything that has to do with Islam, feign ignorance and painting it so dark when actually we have similar scenario between Mary and Joseph too. |
rekinomtla:This solves it. But you know nairaland atheists are not truly atheist in the real sense of atheism, so you don't expect him to think deep on this. |
malvisguy212:Your mumu never do? You've totally veered off the main point as usual. 5years on, you still lack comprehension. SMH |
pcoolioz:I'm actually currently in Ibadan. There's one in Ibadan. I'll head there to get it. Thank you very much. |
I'm confident I'll one day make my parents proud like this. ![]() |
PapiFlin:So what is paining you the most is the fact that he is not always attacking Islam but Christianity? |
Gratefulheart01:Shut up and take your stupidity out of here. What's wrong in praying against such occurrence and why shouldn't God accept it? If he wasn't going to accept it why should he show it to him in the first place? Either the pastor is lying with an edited post or just a mere coincidence. But a prophecy with no room for aversion is a joke. ![]() |
Damn.. This is really ![]() |
Poverty is actually the reason why it seems that cost of data is high in Nigeria when actually it's one of the cheapest in the world. Imagine a country where more than half the population is living below $1 per day. Poverty is a bastard. |
Damn yuck!! Gayism like pedophile is a horrendous malady. OP, you should see a psychiatrist ASAP |
SAMTOBIJU:Ojoo, but I heard soldier have taken over the situation. I heard Iwo road is currently boiling too. |
Ibadan is currently hot. Everyone's scampering for safety in my area. |
I've met him one on one when he was staging a fake job opening program on radio station in 2016. He was cool and really lively and funny person. But then with bloods all over his hands, karma is always around the corner to camp them. RIP. |
No thanks to Ajimobi. That guy is the most useless, most foolish politician ever. |
Anasko:Shut up your wide mouth. Because Nigeria was created for the North alone abi? Odenson ![]() |
Banter1:I have the same sentiment. But I must say that I'm disappointed in Buhari for endorsing the bARAWO. I know it's for his own interest so to not cause any fuss before the presidential election, but they could have brought another person another not that stinking thief. Although almost impossible but I really will not like to see that thief in government again. |
It would be a good thing is Ganduje if not reelected. He's the definition of BARAWO BANSA. BARAWO DOLLAR. SHEGE DAN ISKA DAN BUROBA ![]() |
Guys, does anyone know where I can get a follow come charger for this phone? My charger got spoilt for the past 2 months now and I'm yet to come across a better charger that fast charge the phone. All the chargers I've been getting are slow than snail. |
Jayslicky:You should be given the award of the "most stupid nairalander" |
