Career / Re: Duran Hotels, Uyo Forcing Employees To Surrender Federal Survival Grant by rinrin23(f): 9:13am On Feb 08, 2021
But why is basic understanding and reasoning so far from the average Nigerian?. Both employers and employees are ignorant in this matter.

This initiative is called Payroll Support. It is clearly stated that the government will help micro and small businesses pay their workers' salary for 3 months. Employers are to register a list of employees that they would like the government to assist with paying their salary. This is why employees details are submitted. The government is helping businesses pay their workers .

It is foolish of the employee to receive the monies in their account and still expect salary payment from the business. It is also foolish of the employer to think this is free money and struggle to collect/share it while still struggling to pay salaries. If you have 20 employees, the government is going to help you pay salary of 10 so your business can be relieved of that burden for the next 3 months. This is not free money for the employees or free money for the employer, it has a purpose.

Now if your salary is 20k and government paid 30k, if you understand that your employer has been struggling to pay salaries why not agree to remit the extra 10k that can be used to help pay others salary. If your employer doesn't want it then that's good.

Again read carefully it's called MSME Payroll Support. It is primarily for supporting businesses to ensure they survive the impact of Covid19. Sigh!

It's shameful. Can't even pick a handful of intelligent comments on this topic. It truly reflects the state of the nation with the dull, willfully ignorant and uneducated (and I don't mean unschooled) being in the overwhelming majority.

Assume it's covid, adopt the highest level of precaution (ensuring health care workers are safe and early detection in the patient if that's the case), test to ascertain actual status, then administer treatment as needed. As simple as this was stated, it's so hard for people to understand. Shame

Govt can easily doctor numbers and give to the "world bank" without you knowing. The essence of this public announcement is so that you read it and take necessary precautions.

What have you got to lose by wearing a mask and other precautions

Ever since word bank approved the recent loan for Nigeria, Covid-19 team have been busy rasing figures. Don't be suprised if it entered 5000 cases per day in the comming weeks.

They are testing REAL people. And unfortunately only those that can afford the 50k or that can spend 5hours or more at the center begginh for the free test.

Please be careful. Let's stop acting smart. Govt us not helping anybody, the best they've done is even consistently give us this report as a reminder to be careful

this is fake, because who are there testing
Health / Re: COVID-19 Update For December 17 2020 In Nigeria by rinrin23(f): 11:03am On Dec 18, 2020
Very likely they don't want to spend money admitting cases. We are on our own!

Please take precautions. Wear your mask etc,]Let's do our bit to keep the numbers down, if not there might be a lockdown. And as we've seen, govt is not going to provide any tangible help/palliative.

onyxo76:
and you actually believe these numbers? i pass through a teaching hospital everyday which has an isolation centre ,there is no patient there...yet you keep dishing out figures..kogi doesn't have human beings again abi? 5 cases since close to a year.

Deep shit. The protests definitely fueled it.

We spent hours at yaba trying to get a test done. They kept trying to frustrate us so we would have to go to the labs that collect 50k. After begging and begging, they finally did the test. You can imagine people that would have gotten frustrated and gone home.

God help us.

It is real.

People are testing positive and they are sending them home. I doubt they have funds to treat anyone again at the isolation centers. We should be very afraid. This government does not care about us.

Please take necessary precautions. I'm taking my time to respond to everyone today because it hit home for me, my husband tested positive and they sent him home. No drugs, no instructions on what to do. Please just be careful. Nobody will help you if you catch it.

Babaibe:
Honestly , without any big mathematical model, I am expecting this. Is this real ? Noooo. They want to embezzle money all in the name of buying vaccines . Ask them to show us the patients with covids or discharge certificate. Nothing.

Where is there isolation centre, let's pay a visit ..empty. Useless government... thievesssss. They are denting the reputation of the country because of their pocket and that useless Sanwoolu dey joined them lied .Na God go punish all of them.
If covid is truly in.Nigeria , we can not handle it as our government is highly irresponsible .Conglomerate of thieves.

They know this because people are testing and unfortunately it's only s small percentage of people that are testing. Out of about 10 people I know that have it, only 2 tested. So you can imagine that these numbers we are seeing are not an accurate picture of what's out there.

Wash yyiur hand, wear your mask and restrict your movement.

Paulianfa:
how do they come about all this new cases? its smell akara...lol
Health / Re: COVID-19 Update For December 17 2020 In Nigeria by rinrin23(f): 10:41am On Dec 18, 2020
It's not fake. My husband caught it from work and later found out that lots of people had it at work, they notified HR but they didn't announce it. He tested positive and they told him to isolate at home.

He had terrible fever, body aches and stomach ache. He didn't have the common symptoms - loss of taste and smell. If he hadn't taken the test we wouldnt have known and he would have been going round spreading it. This is how it's spreading. Someone at his office also tested positive and is walking around instead of isolating.

Just be careful, wear your mask and be careful where you go. Even if you don't believe it just be careful. Nobody is collecting money from us by announcing cases, it's information that you should take, it's a reminder to be careful. Please this thing is out there

JUST BE CAREFUL. WEAR YOUR MASK AND TRY TO STAY HOME.

Chapter Twenty-Three
19. I recorded seven hundred and two realms of the same planet Zazev which I went to stay. The closest realms to the outer universe where I was physically present were the ones where I saw events which would happen just almost immediately.
20. Some of such events happened just within seconds of my waking from my sleeps or meditation
.
21. There was one when I saw a great body being hurled at me. I woke up and saw the same body almost close to hitting my head. I dodged it and escaped pains. There was another where I saw a purple mineral which I have never seen before.
22. I woke up and took two steps away from where I slept, then I discovered the mineral.
23. I named different realms in the different universes after names of extinct earth animals .

Of course, I am not surprised that I talk a short walk down the streets of nairaland ( Thanks to a stranger that liked and shared my post, and here I am)and I stumble on number 23. A number that has enigmatically followed me around my whole life.

I am experiencing the bolded and it happens every now and then. It's happening again now, this whole week so far. I don't control it, haven't been able to, neither are these dreams of any major significance to my life. I don't understand it. Am I accessing these other realms without knowing? Is something leading me there? And to what end?

Modified to add: also again, this thread was revived on the 23rd, my birthday.
Religion / Re: Esoteric Paths by rinrin23(f): 7:43pm On Jul 25, 2019

I for instance, see visions of the future, uncontrollably, since I was born.

When you say uncontrollably, do you mean you are yet to find a way to trigger this gift or harness it in some way?

Do you by any chance see these visions in dreams or how?

I ask because I do too. It happens uncontrollably, I see them in my dreams and shortly after it comes to pass. I could go months without it happening then when it does it could go on for a whole week or two. Like this week right now, I've had them back to back. This "ability" doesn't particularly excite me, and I think it's because I can't control it and make the best use of it. I've been feeling drained all week.

Hope I'm not derailing. I just caught that statement you made, and had to ask especially as I look at the timeline it seems this thread came back to life the same day the visions started this week

Indeed it is not.

And perhaps not for those who are sensitive to such noble ideas as justice too?

Definitely not for those

What is your conception of the afterlife - and as a corollary, what to you regard as the purpose of life?

I see it as possibly a continuation of life. Purpose- Evolution

Do you think this evolution is required.
Can you share your thoughts on the natire of whatever entity it may be that caused such things as souls to exist at all, and dictated such an experience as Earthlife?

I have so many different thoughts on this. Even I can't put them together coherently.

In addition:

Do you mean this in the sense - "if you are to be a parent of the soul on Earth."
Do you know, regardless of the best intentions life is terribly unpredictable.

Terribly

Having regard to some of the very worst experiences of humans on Earth (don't let me cite any, just use your imagination) do you really think there is any possible justification for the conditions that are visited upon souls on Earth?

I think one can't appreciate light without darkness and vice versa. So this possibly explains the conditions. However, as for the point and purpose of it all, I do not know and so can't determine if it is justified or not.

This is noble.

bitter truth. once told a guy who authoritatively said Muslims would go to hell because of sharia to shut up! Moses ,long before Christ, practised Sharia e.g by instituting the stoning of women caught in adultery but claimed it was from God . Only God knows how many had suffered that painful injustice before Christ came and diplomatically denied it by the ' let he without sin be the first to cast the stone' caveat.

If God could wait and send Christ to correct the decades long sharia , then he can also wait to 'save' Islam at his own time which makes any human judgements or conclusions invalid.

Day 5 of 30 Days Non-Alcohol Challenge.

Yesterday, I had the courage to resist a beer during a visit to a business associate. Couldn't help but criticize the party that drank some to enable me to stay off, was so tempting to even see a lovely gin I should have gulped a few shots but still resisted and opted for bitter kola.

Again, seems there is nothing to spend money on without alcohol in the head. No changes in weight so far.

Days are slow, life seems like pure vanity.

This weekend will be a tough one as a slay queen is lamenting I must take her to the club. What do people drink in a club that is non-alcoholic? Caffeinated drinks and preservative loaded package juices are worst than alcohol? Will look awkward drinking water and more water in a club. I hope the determination and will can override the egoic urge to resist champagne. And If I can resist going this weekend, I can't escape next weekend, as this slay queen is my weapon against loneliness.

How do non-drinkers club? Do they actually have a life? Damn!

Any recommendations on how Non-Drinkers enjoy at the club without a drink? I love beautiful women, and they all seem to love going out at night. May be I need me a Born again slay queen grin

That is exactly how my own behaves too. As soon as she steps out of the gate, she automatically becomes deaf. She will run away as if she will never come back.
I started training her to stay even when the gate is open. She listens but as soon as I take my eyes off her. She's gone!. Sometimes I feel she's becoming a bitch that she is...
As stubborn and disobedient as she is, she is still my favorite. She always follow me around in the house and sleeps at my feet or on the sofa beside me. If she's sleeping and I stand up to leave, she wakes up and follow me... More like she's duty bond to do so while the male doesn't give a Bleep.
The male is more of an ideal dog, reserved and reacts BUT the female! as soon as she's outside the gate. She becomes as stupid as any animal can be.

Yes extremely loving, and would follow you anywhere you go from the moment you stand up. She has too much energy and loves attention.

Mine is just as stupid. She ran out of the gate this morning, didn't come back when called. Went on to chase a chicken up and down the street, with me chasing behind her like a crazy woman, and then eventually ran into someone's compound to lick stuff off the floor.

She's (reluctantly) obedient when indoors, but something about outside breeze makes her lose all home training. undecided

She has the same friendly traits as yours too. Never had this type of behavior problems with my poodle.

Thank you! The lack of basic comprehension on this thread is alarming. PA is the real job, the PA would need to be able to drive to carry out his tasks not to become a driver and the graphic design skills would help on the job most likely with basic design tasks.

Such a shame how they called us "lazy youth" and we keep proving them right

Capensis:
The OP has a problem with comprehension. Ability to drive could mean he will need to move around and will be provided with a car. PA might be the real job and the job is graphic designs. PA is not a job it is a role and what role does he play ? Graphics Design and directly reporting to the Boss.

But I also think the Salary is Okay. If you do not have use for your time and skills, someone else have to use you. Lazy youths.
