You see how fast so called justice works in Nigeria whenever it has to do with a common man? But when it comes to bigwigs everything becomes sluggish, they will begin by looking for evidence and their online dogs will start barking. Of all the many allegations and evidence against Yahaya Bello, Okowa, Akpabio etc. The so called EFCC threw away the evidence but in the case of VDM even to prepare a charge is now very fast. Young men and women see this level of injustice but you'll see them come online to defend rubbish in the name of politics. Make una dey try. Na the country una dey kill.

PoliticsRe: BREAKING; President Tinubu Bans Importation Of Foreign Goods by RISQUE: 11:09pm On May 05, 2025
Celestialsword:
President Bola Tinubu has announced a ban on the importation of foreign goods that can be produced locally in Nigeria.

The new directive, revealed after Monday’s Federal Executive Council meeting at the Presidential Villa, aims to protect and promote Nigerian industries.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, said the policy, called the Renewed Hope Nigeria First Policy, is a major economic shift designed to support local content, reduce dependence on foreign products, and encourage job creation.

President Tinubu has also placed strict conditions on the hiring of foreign workers.

According to the new order, expatriates will no longer be allowed to take on jobs that Nigerian professionals and artisans can do unless they receive special approval from the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP).

Idris noted that the President’s plan mirrors the “America First” policy introduced by former U.S. President Donald Trump but with a Nigerian focus.

“This policy seeks to foster a new business culture that is bold, confident, and very Nigerian,” Idris said. “It aims at making government investment directly benefit our people and industries by changing how we spend, how we procure, and how we build our economy.”

To enforce the new policy, the BPP has been directed to revise procurement rules and ensure that all government purchases prioritise Nigerian-made products.

All MDAs must now submit procurement plans that align with the new local-first approach. Government officials have also been warned that any breach of these rules will attract disciplinary action and possible cancellation of contracts.

“Contractors will no longer be mere intermediaries sourcing foreign goods while Nigerian factories lie idle. Government money must now work for the Nigerian people,” the minister stated.

Idris cited the sugar industry as an example of where local production has been ignored, saying Nigeria still imports sugar despite having local producers and a functioning Nigerian Sugar Council.

He added that even when foreign contracts are necessary, they must include clear plans for technology transfer, local production, or capacity development in Nigeria.

I am here to send a message to anyone who cares to listen.

For thousands of years the powers that be (the church) have run a negative marketing on masturbation.
And have persuaded milliions of people to believe it is a sin.

Masturbation is the highest form of self love you can give yourself.

Human beings are electromagnetic beings.
When you have sex with another human being. You bond together and transfer energy between yourselves.

This is powerful secret about sex.
When 2 humans come in contact sexually they ignite a bond.
Be careful who you bond with.

Now what masturbation does is prevent you from bonding energetically with a random person...

Masturbation gives you the oppurtunity to love your body and feel your true spiritual self for couple seconds.
That couple of seconds you feel and experience your true self is called Orgasm.
Masturbate once a month

GistMedia0:
Popular Nigerian gospel singer, Moses Bliss, has taken to social media to shower heartfelt praise on his wife, expressing overwhelming gratitude for the woman he married. In a post that has since gone viral, the “Too Faithful” crooner described his wife as "one of the wisest women on earth," highlighting her intelligence, thoughtfulness, and all-round excellence.

“I'm so grateful for who I married. I feel like paying her bride price every week. She is one of the wisest women on earth, so intelligent, so thoughtful. She has it all,” Moses Bliss wrote.

The gospel artist, who tied the knot earlier this year in a star-studded ceremony attended by fellow ministers and fans, has been vocal about the joy and peace his marriage has brought him. His recent post has warmed the hearts of many online, with fans commending his openness and genuine affection.

However, some critics have cautioned the singer, suggesting he may still be in the euphoria of a young and sparking marriage. According to them, he should wait for several more years and revisit his statement, implying that the true test of marriage comes with time and experience. shocked

Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro, has blamed the defeat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 presidential election on the choice of former governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, as the running mate to its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

Moro who stated this during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Tuesday also described the choice of Okowa as a “serious mistake”.

The Senator representing Benue South at the National Assembly further lambasted Okowa over his claim that he regretted being the PDP vice presidential candidate.

Moro said Okowa 's inability to have ensured victory for PDP in Delta in the presidential election showed that his “soul” was not in the party.

Didactic Information Hut reports that Okowa, Gov Sheriff oborevwori and many other PDP stakeholders have dumped the PDP for the APC on Monday.

A Humble Appeal for Your Return to Leadership

“PLS SHARE TILL IT GETS TO HIS EXECELENCY”

Dear Excellency Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan

I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. I write to you not only as a concerned citizen but as one among many who have witnessed and deeply valued your leadership, vision, and commitment to our nation.

In these challenging times, when the country is in need of experienced, principled, and visionary leadership, your absence from the political arena is deeply felt. Your past tenure stands as a testament to progress, stability, and integrity qualities that are sorely needed once again.

We understand the weight of public service and the sacrifices it demands. However, we also believe that history sometimes calls on individuals more than once to rise and serve. Many of us earnestly hope you will consider recontesting in the upcoming elections not for personal ambition, but for the greater good of our nation and its future.

Your return would not only inspire hope but also help restore trust and unity among our people. Please consider this heartfelt appeal from countless voices that believe in your leadership and long for your return because at this time no one has what it takes to battle the present administration.

With deepest respect and sincere hope that by the grace of God you will be restored to power.

Nigeria is great , I will make it greater and we all will make it the greatest so help us God

PoliticsRe: 2027: INEC Moves To Strip President's Power To Appoint Recs by RISQUE: 2:26am On Apr 29, 2025
ProudBoy:
Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is proposing amendments to Nigeria’s electoral framework that would strip the President of the power to appoint the Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs).

The proposed change would instead give the commission power to make this appointments, though with a different nomenclature to be known as State Directors of Elections.

The commission is also pushing for the introduction of electronically downloadable voters’ cards to replace the use of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

Specifically, the commission is seeking amendments to Section 14 (3) Paragraph F of the Third Schedule to the 1999 Constitution to confer the power of appointing and disciplining Heads of State and FCT Offices of INEC on the commission.

INEC is also proposing amendment to Section 6 (3) of the Electoral Act 2022 to confer the power of appointing Heads of State and FCT Offices on the Commission.

According to INEC, these heads of state would be known as State Directors of Elections.

Special Adviser to the INEC chairman, Mohammad Kuna, disclosed this in his presentation at a retreat with the Joint Committee of the National Assembly on Electoral Matters on the reform of the electoral legal framework held in Lagos on Monday.

He said the proposal is essential to promote transparency, accountability and efficiency in the electoral process.

Currently, the REC is the person in charge of INEC office at the state level.

The REC who is assisted by relevant government agencies, undertakes the Presidential, National Assembly, Gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections in a state and acts pursuant to powers delegated to him or her by INEC's national Chairman and 12 Commissioners.

Among the duties of the REC is to make available all the materials required to conduct an election. The REC also monitors the activities of all ad hoc staff and provides for proper verification of election results

Currently, the appointment of RECs, who oversee the electoral process in each state, is within the president’s purview according to Section 154 (1) of the 1999 constitution.

Section 6 (1) of the Electoral Act reads: "There is established in each State of the Federation, Federal Capital Territory and Local Government Area, an office of the Commission Which shall perform such functions as may be assigned to it by the Commission.

"(2) A person appointed to the office of a Resident Electoral Commissioner shall

(a) be answerable to the Commission ; and

(b) hold office for a term of five years from the date of his or her appointment which may be renewable for another term of five years and no more.

"(3) The Resident Electoral Commissioner appointed under the Constitution may only be removed by the President, acting on an address supported by two-thirds majority of the Senate praying that the Resident Electoral Commissioner be so removed for inability to perform the functions of the office, whether arising from infirmity of mind or body or any other cause, or for misconduct.

But according to the document presented by Kuna sighted by the Guardian, developments in the recent past and especially during and in the aftermath of the 2023 General election suggest the need for the Commission to have greater powers to make appointments to the heads of State and FCT Offices.

The proposal will also confer INEC the power to discipline erring RECs.

Aside from this, the commission is also proposing amendment of Sections 77 (2), 117 (1), 132 (5) and 178 (5) of the 1999 Constitution to provide for early, special, Out-of-Country, diaspora and inmates voting.

The document said this will allow the country to introduce early/special voting to cater for eligible voters on essential services, election personnel as well as voters under incarceration, those in the diaspora and out-of-country voting for eligible Nigerians outside the country during elections.

Another key proposal by INEC is the amendment of Sections 153 (1), 154 (3), 156 (1, a), 157 (2), 158 (1), and 160 (1) and the Third Schedule, Paragraph 15 (b - d) of the 1999 Constitution to create the Electoral Offences Commission and (b) Political Party Regulatory Agency.

The commission is also seeking the
amendment of sections 48, 49, 71 ant 91 of the 1999 Constitution by Providing New Provisions for Special Seats for Women and PwDs

"While the Commission should continue to work with all Political Parties for greater participation of under-represented groups in elective positions, the surest way to achieve that objective is through affirmative action.
This should be backed by a clear provision of the law that may, for instance, create designated constituencies for such groups, especially women and persons with Disability", the document stated.

The commission is also proposing to the National Assembly to: "Amend Sections of EA 2022 to Remove Ambiguities/Cross-Referencing Errors
(a) Section 60 (5) refers to ‘transfer’ of results while 64 (4 & 5) spoke about ‘direct transmission’; (b) Section 64 (4a & 5) refers to 47 (2) with regards the transmission of results; yet 47 (2) makes no reference to the transmission of results; (c) there are similar ambiguities identified in Sections 29 (1), 75 (3) & (4), 77(3), 131 (5) & (6) and 132 (5-10) of the Electoral Act, 2022 detailed in the submission of the Commission.

"Amend Section 65 (1) to Provide Clarity on the Commission's Powers to Review Election Results. Create a caveat in Section 65 (1) to provide that the triggers to the review of results should be instances of declarations made under duress.

"Review Sections 47 (1) and 16 (1, 2 & 4) on the Design, Printing, Control, Issuance and Use of PVCs. Review Section 47 (1) as well as 16 (1, 2 & 4) to Modify Requirements for the Use of PVCs to Allow for the Introduction of Electronically Downloadable Voters' Card or Any Other Form of ID Acceptable to the Commission.

The Sole Administrator of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Dr. Ndu Walter, has restored Nyesom Ezenwo Wike‘s name on the Admin Bloc of the Council, News360 Nigeria reports.

Recall, the former Chairman of the council Mr Chijioke Ihunwo had directed the removal of Wike’s name from the Admin Block.

Following the removal of Wike’s name, Ihunwo had renamed the block after a minority rights activist, Sen. Obi Wali.

Recent checks by News360 Nigeria confirms that Wike’s name had been restored on the block.

It’s good to note that President Bola Tinubu had appointed Retired Vice Admiral Ibok Ete Ibas as a Sole Administrator after declaring a state of emergency in Rivers State.

The move came with the suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, in line with the provisions of the emergency rule directive.

Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike have been at loggerheads over the political structure in the state.

The face-off led to Tinubu suspending Fubara, his deputy, and members of the state House of Assembly.

Recently, Nyesom Wike, had declared that resolving the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State will only be possible if all parties involved and other stakeholders approach it with sincerity.

One of the major concerns in a child’s journey is the phone addiction. Mobile phones have become an integral part of our life that we can’t simply put it off once and for all. Yet, the excessive use of phones leads to many serious issues. Mobile phone addiction in kids results in behavioral issues, reduced focus, and poor academic performance.
