[quote author=tonididdy post=68123845]you can start to work on this path now...Don't give up on your present hustle for a return to Nigeria, the conditions are not favorable at the moment. Don't go to Naija and start little after all your years of hardwork overseas. belive me that is the only thing you can invest in naija with rest of mind Uhmm |
[quote author=400billionman post=68122926] I am an investor A financial advisor A business Strategist A retired Banker A trader So if you are coming from abroad with just 20 million to 50million contact me We sign a legal agreement before a court to manage your resources for 10 years in your own name MY charges is only 20percent of profit Your Capital can only increase it will never decrease Because if I don't make profit for you I get nothing 20 - 50 million naira? It took me 4 years to save 6 million naira. It will take me another 20 plus years to save up the figures you mentioned above. |
[quote author=tonididdy post=68123626]my friend , I will advice you not to invest anything in Nigeria unless you want to go into the real estate business that is building and renting out houses anything else don't dare it since you are not in the country. If you can save up and build a 2bedroom flat into 4 or more units and put a family person in charge of enforcing rents are paid as at when due is the best and the rent goes straight to your account. final. Unfortunately I don't have enough to acquire a land and build. |
[quote author=EgunMogaji post=68122509]I will advice you though that you should follow your dream but do your own individual due diligence. Thanks I will |
[quote author=400billionman post=68122189]It is lack of information that keep people in the dark IF I tell you say that if you come from abroad with just 20million and the right info information you may not need to work again JUST investments ONLY that people with such knowledge do not share it for free Tell me more |

[quote author=Grupo post=68121247]Very depressing. Considering the fact that some of us had intended starting a business here. Oops. Maybe I just look for a way of getting out this country. Me too. It got me depressed |
[quote author=EgunMogaji post=68121168]This is both an enlightening and depressing thread ![]() In fact eh, the thing just weak me since I opened this thread |
[quote author=Parisfran post=68120609]Yes, you can engage an Accountant that knows about tax or a lawyer that knows about tax. It's not expensive. Don't let them convince you that such things are only for "big men". Know your way no be curse. Thanks I'm a bit relieve. |

[quote author=Beface post=68116893]She made a mistake by getting pregnant and her parent drove her out for the devil to consume, at a time when she needed someone to help her through the societal rejection. Her blood is on her parent. Exactly. Now their regret will be ' why did we send her away. If we had known, we would have accepted her and our unborn grandbaby'. Friends and neighbors will say 'una for not pursue una pikin'. May we not use our hand to do yourself Amin |

[quote author=Parisfran post=68119808]Before you start, just discuss with an Accountant. Yes I will. Thanks. I want to ask, are the accountant tax experts? Pardon my ignorance |
[quote author=Parisfran post=68117578]It's not as bad as people are making it seem. The problem most people have is they dont want to pay for services. In the US, even individuals pay accountants to help them with their taxes. The thing the tax authorities like here the most is actually an ignorant person, if you fall mugu ones, then that tax office will use you and meet target. Another mistake is actually bribing them, if you do, they become more ludicrous. Oh thanks |
[quote author=Grupo post=68118519]That guy you are arguing with hasn't left the shores of his village before. Hehehehe |
[quote author=Parisfran post=68118534]Bros, you can do business in Nigeria and actually pay very little if you do the right thing. Yes our own tax rate is high at 30%, but I'm sure you've heard of tax planning before. If it's so bad, how come people are actually getting richer while doing business in Nigeria. Do you know you can actually settle most issues with just a letter? Enlighten me please |
[quote author=queenfav post=68118652]Lol @ To dey wash bathroom and toilet no easy at all. Stay where u dey o.. Uhmm! Nigeria will frustrate your efforts to run a business. I know that first hand. Personally i don't pay tax. My business name registered, but i don't even have a corporate account. I don't like stress at all biko. Even P. O. S, i no do o. My customers do bank transfer to me.My saving grace is that my shop is in a Police Officer's wives association plaza. Nobody like council or local government comes there to bill us. Even signboard fees people usually pay, i didn't pay a dime because that plaza has immunity from such bills. Since i paid my rent, the only thing i do is just buy my phed unit of N2000, do gotv subscription N1900 and am good to go for the month. Another thing that helps is to buy a prepaid meter. A nepa staff that buys hair from me gave me that advice. Those that are waiting for free one have already incurred bill that's times two or more of what they wud av used in buying a meter. I got mine 20000 and i thank God dialysis because nothing concerns me and phed again. If I exhaust my unit and decide to stay in darkness, nobody would harass me. Just do your due diligence well before moving to Nigeria to set up a business, it's just God that has been favoring me so far. Sis, to dey wash bathroom and toilet no easy o but atleast I've been able to save N6,000,000. I intend to start a business in Nigeria before the year ends. All this multiple tax stories is beginning to scare me. Will I continue to keep my earnings? I want to invest it. I will also go with the idea of buying a prepaid metre. Thanks |
[quote author=adetoroamos post=68115355]don't invest here I tell you, but if you can do hit and run as the guy above me said. don't ever try to invest in niaja at all as it's not encouraging I'm so sad now |
[quote author=Lakeside79 post=68115946]Exactly too many people.here talk about what they don't know and I laugh I ditched my green passport long ago for a better one and.my God life has been awesome. Nigeria is a mirage painted to deceive people , there is nothing like built from scrscth and.works without the following 1. Foreign.investment 2. Political.money that is always huge and can be spent anyhow 3. Government connection so you don't have to pay tax for years till you want to Ask companies like jobberman where they are today ... Today jobberman Alexa ranking has fallen so low , advert revenues have almost dried up the three young founders have sold off most of their shares since Seek pulled out most of their funding , in know those three personally and I can tell you that they are all wishing they sold off the company back then when seek offered big money for a larger staike , even whogohot owned by opeyemi is not finding it easy Nigeria is a dead country .. if you are fortunate to earn some large cash please please please resist the temptation to start living so called normal.life , because whatever you think you live is just an average life compared to if you relocate Nigeria is a failed country Haa God. I'm so sad now |

Depression uhm thank God I didn't kill myself when things were so bad for me. In fact I had every reason to kill myself but I didn't. Now things are getting better. From Zero to million. Suicide isn't worth it. No condition is permanent. Sorrow may last for the night but joy comes in the morning. Before killing yourself, think of those you would be causing pains. Think of your love ones and then have a rethink. I can't even remember my down moment anymore. E-hug to everyone who is depressed/ suicidal. Please hang on. Things will surely turnaround for good. Though it might take long/years but it will surely end in good news. God is your strength. |
