Politics / Re: "Bloody Serpent": Betty Akeredolu Blasts Funke Aruna by Rolings: 4:01am On Mar 05
DJMix2025:
If you don’t know what’s going on lemme explain

Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, the widow of the late Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, criticized her late husband's niece, Funke Akeredolu Aruna, for supporting the current governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, ahead of the November governorship election in the state. Betty referred to Funke as a "bloody serpent" for her actions. This public rebuke was made through Betty's Instagram account, where she shared a photo of Funke wearing a cap with the inscription "I am lucky." The conflict stems from internal issues between Akeredolu and Aiyedatiwa before the former's death, leading to attempts to impeach Aiyedatiwa. Betty's strong words have sparked controversy on social media, with some criticizing her for engaging in a public dispute instead of mourning her husband. Soon, you will understand that most Nigerians are pessimist. They derive joy when bad things happen. You will hardly find a good news on Nairaland with at least 10 pages. They lack the right information and they will be gallivanting on their stupidity.

Know this and know peace.

Nigerians are one of the most ungrateful people on planet earth and so difficult to manage. That's why people that find themselves in the position of power and authority treat us anyhow.
Because they know that the average citizen is very stupid and will take anything they throw at them .....just polish it with a little rice ans stew and they forget their senses (that's why rice dealers are making a kill because they know FOOLISH Nigerians will still buy it at any price

If countries in the global south have to wait to "get their act together" in a manner of speaking - before they play seriously in the international arena, then we will simply lose our voice for a number of critical generations as things move along in the world.

Aside from this, South Africa has a historical and spiritual connection to the Palestinian cause arising from its own apartheid struggle.

Nigeria ought to take a cue from this. We are disgracefully silent in the international arena and stand for nothing.

Apatheid in SA started the same year Europe and US created a state of Israel as a solution to it's Jewish problem

Replace the bolded with Buhaari, Tinubu or any of your favorite politician. Nigeria is beyond economic redemption. Few people are trying to revive what is left of this country. The others are devouring all they can before the eventual end of the country. It is a matter of "when will it happen"

So we have been hearing for long.....yet it hasn't happened.., USA claimed we won't survive past 2015....but here we are
The fact is as some are pulling the country backwards many others are doing all they can to move it forward.
And My personal opinion...,. Those numerous churches, mosques and religious houses scattered all over the country always pray for the country......it's their prayers that has been keeping and will keep the country going until its stable.....it seems funny but I believe if not for those prayers the country would be gone

MrProlific95:
and so...Nigerian government should not try any 50% ooo,

Anything less than 300% Will not be accepted

The realistic minimum wage will be between 50 - 70k.
Economy don't have the capacity for 300% minimum wage increase.
If not we will end up few people in work and the vast majority out of work because employers won't be able to pay.
Do you know Many state are not even paying 30k minimum wage and some are still paying the 18k minimum wage.

If at all the increase will be huge....then state should be allowed to determine how much they can pay their workers as their financial positions differ

Goodmarlian:
us and israel always strike iranians military bases in syria and iraq as seen lately why not hit the nail on the head and end it once and for all is iran getting too strong?

Simple
Iran hasn't strikes them directly. It has been using proxies so far
Let IRGC strike either US or UK directly and see response
Biden might be old and feeble but he sure knows international diplomacy. He has been a consistent defender of Israel all his political career.....but at the same time knows it could cost him reelection so very soon expect him to throw Bibi under the bus if he doesn't scale back the intensity of the war. A pointer is the sanction of 4 Israeli settlers ...... Israel knows the implications of that.....and knows it will be very easy for US to repeat because more than half of the illegal settlers have American citizenship

Ilekokonit:

I can bet my bottom dollar that Tinubu does not have 5 O'levels and all he is skilled at is dealing, sniffing drugs, forgery and looting the treasury.

Even his US Uni exams must have been sat for him by someone he paid.

What am I even saying, From Tinubu's submitted documents to Chicago University, he graduated from Government College Lagos in MAY 1970 but the school was formed in 1974. ??

The same criminal once said he went to Government College Ibadan and when scrutinized, he retracted this statement and changed it to Government College Lagos which the criminal claims he graduated from 4 years before the school was even formed. ??

The Principal of Government College Ibadan to prevent press scrutiny, actually absconded and went into hiding with the full records of ALL students who attended GCI at the same time our Criminal President Tinubu lied that he attended GCI.

In the US, Tinubu stole a woman's name, identity and Social Security number and he forged a lot of Certificates to actually get admitted into Chicago State university where he MUST have paid someone to sit his exams for him.

Tinubu also clearly forged the Chicago State university certificate he submitted to INEC but the BASTARD Supreme Court Judges looked the other way once Tinubu paid them colossal bribes and they sold generation of unborn Nigerians to Tinubu's pillage and financial banditry.

Lets see where all this ends.

If a man could pull off all this In a country of over 200milliom people
That man is a hero.
And He just proved to be smarter than 200million of us.
The joke is on all Nigerians

Fact is food in Nigeria is still cheaper than most other countries including neighboring countries, problem is most Nigerians are poor because their incomes are too low .

Wages are too poor and need to increase significantly

I saw some Minister lamented increase in food prices in Nigeria but that is not the issue.

See, to solve a problem, you need to be able to analyze it correctly

And because for years we have actually been cheating the farmers by paying pittance for their sweats.
I have not seen any farmer complain .... Have you?

It's a well known fact that Emperor Hadrian changed the name of Judea to Palestine which was a corruption of Philistine and he did that to humiliate the Jews because the philistines are their enemies that the Jews eliminated.
