PoliteActivist: Marriage has nothing to do with money. If you love someone see how you'd be eager to marry them, money or no money. YOU HAVE KIDS WHEN YOU CAN AFFORD THEM! Right, and we all know love to be blind and foolish, the mofo. Love doesn't put food on your table. "Have kids when you can afford them", really? And you're saying this to someone that wants to get married because it's getting late... yeah right! |

Ofadaman: Information is Golden, it is actually power.
You may study the charts all you want, it's a lagging indicator and by the time you're taking positions , the players are already cashing out..what makes crytpo really interesting is that due to the nature of the market, it's very inefficient, because information isn't easily distributed to everyone equally , this is why many people see certain coins rise or fall and they struggle to understand the reason, many jump in and lose their hard earned money.
In my journey to game the market, i started trying out technical indicators, from bollinger bands, macd, stochs, alligators, volumes, ichiomuku, and countless others, eventually I started to read about statistics and discovered that with a moving average I can easily build 80%of the other indicators, they are all averages just the period and the weights differs.
Charts can help you spot pattern alright and know physchological points to exit and maybe barriers points to in or avoid.. but they hardly tell u when to jump in.... (Unless it's too late), these days people with basic understanding of the TA, draw funny charts and try to confuse the novice. Its not complex guys, it's just math..
Now, in recent times a new approach has surfaced and few are paying heed to it.. it's the social media noise and tags...
So I went ahead to build a sentiment analytic script on Python that scrubs twitter looking for tags lines on certain coins and their symbols, my plan was if a lot of people are tweetting about it and I can tell how many new mention per minute, if the tweet is positive or negative and if from what region it's coming from, how many followers does the people who tweett these things have and number of likes per tweet,. I could gain the market.. well, I did... But... Technical indicators except volume lag alright but don't say charts lag, it's not an indicator to begin with, it's a graphical representation of the fight between buyers and sellers and there's no way it can lag. And there's so much information you can glean from those charts if you know anything about price action. Whatever works for one I suppose. |

If that's how you trade then chances are you're fomo-ing in, you're going to lose more in the long run if you chase green candles. Also have you considered exchange servers get overloaded during those times because most people also fomo in too? |

DextrousDavid: Ohhh.... so that's how it works.. That's not how it works, it has been trading in some other exchanges. Prices go up because of demand and Ɓinance is a big exchange, announcing that they're listing a coin is going to increase the demand for it. Most people will accumulate it elsewhere before it gets listed. |

kings11ng: How? Go to launchpad on Ɓinance home page, scroll to the coin you want to farm and click stake now, fill in the amount of ƁNB you want to commit, finish. It will be moved from your Spot wallet to Earn wallet. You can un-stake at anytime from the same place and it will be moved back to your Spot wallet. Your coin will still be growing or dumping as normal but you will also be earning free ƊODO too. cc: GreatManBee, emelueobi

Anowax: I seem to be the only one not understanding this "taking profits" phrase being used here. Or is it the same as normal trading which is buying low and selling high whilst expecting it to go low again before buying again? If that's the case then I don't see how hodl and taking profits will be in the same sentence.
Sorry I am asking though cos the phrase still confuses me till date... Let's take for instance:
I bought 1 BnB @50k NGN and after a week, it's worth 80k NGN... How do you "take profit" in this scenario? Cos if you take away the added 30k NGN from that coin, what's now left for you isn't 1 BnB but a fraction of it.
Unless you're saying you are selling and hoping for it to dip so you can buy again... Then if that's the case, then you're not a hodler but an HTF trader. Bull runs are not for buying coins with the intention to "hodl for many years", it's time for taking profits. Taking profits could mean selling off your bags (that you bought in the preceding bear run or at the beginning of the bull run) bit by bit at different price points like 2x, 3x, 4x, it's really up to you. Even if you sell off everything once and buy back higher, as long as you buy at a strong support and the coin is in a confirmed uptrend, you'd most likely still sell at good profit. The truth is no one knows where the ceiling of the bull run is, ƁNB could run up all the way to 1k, 2k, the bull run may just be starting for all we know, the only certainty is that a bear run will follow. And if coins can do 2x, 3x now, who says they can't do -2x and -3x in a bear run? Even if ƁNB pumps to high heavens now, it'd still have massive correction later, and that is the right time to buy with the intention of hodling, although most people still wouldn't then |

sKeetz: Exactly. Someone needed to tell him this. He is the only source of fud and bad energy on this thread. Nigga needs to take a chill pill. Doesn't mean he's wrong though, people need to be reminded that bull runs don't last forever, with the number of people asking for long term coins to hold now, how many of them can stand a 95% pullback...also fud is not necessarily a bad thing like you painted it since the market can be traded both ways. While some are bathing in euphoria from the bull run, others are smacking their lips on the sidelines waiting for a sign of weakness from the bulls so they can have their own field day. It's good to be cautious and alert to market structure at all times so as to secure your profits and limit losses. |
