i dont understand. if the father wasn't there to care for his childhood, why should he expect the son to care for him now? if michael chooses to rise above, fine. if not, the old dude ain't got no effin claim men. this is a reminder to you young bloods out there to respect and care for your families while you can. what goes around comes around |
i don't know your situation. but i'll like you to know this. a man is not a man if he ain't got not independence. do whatever you feel is right. you don't need to leave your mum and neglect her. but get your own ride dude. as for your bitch of a wife(-to-be)? it would have been a different thing if she was bringing part of the bread. sign ur marriage in a court. get urself a ride a place (maybe) travel or honeymoon someplace nice. keep the change and carry on with life. i dont see a point in a freaking ceremony if you are flat broke the morning after. live your life dude. be yourself and good things will come to you |
seriously? and how are they identified again? btw what's the minimum wage in nigeria? |
don't listen to these people! what works for the geese may not necessarily work for the gander. there's no man's role or woman's role in 2009! you both decide what works for you and what you're both comfortable with. support her in domestics and she supports you financially. moral support, i mean. or whatever you guys like, enjoy! |
the dude was on mushrooms or some heavy hashish, men abeg let the poor woman's soul RIP and stop blabbing what you don't know! |
who cares?! your salvation is your personal business and relation with your maker. btw atheism is not a religion, it's just a belief. so y u say "denounce" like it's some demon worshipping ritual you're absconding from. omo na u know. make your piece with GOD! |
Y'kno, Pidgin shud be our national language. Officially titled 'Nigerian' or, Just 'Naija!' Then english/french & d vernaculars be termed 'others' All in favor of the 'Cultural Unification' Bill, say 'Ye!' All against, say, 'Ye!!!' See, we all agree! |
No, it is just COMMON sense! |

What the Bleep are they suspending?!!! the project never commenced and it's been how many years now?! ugh! |
If the accountant can afford to buy a brand new range rover sport or something in that range, he probably can afford to buy a light aircraft like old model cessna's or something in that range, and probably maintain it too. i see a lot of people dont understand that a jet is a kind of aircraft. and those that try to correct them are scorned as ITKs. If the question is specifically about owning a jet, business or private jets, like Citations and gulfstreams, forgetaboutit! the maintenance is totally different, what the Bleep does a poor accountant or doctor need such for sef, anyways?! except you're the surgeon-general or accountant-general of the federation. in which case, the government facilitates ur transport via any means necessary jeez! |
mumu country like ours, we wan run we no wan walk first |
ok, i may have been too harsh. but my point is: one man's pet is another man's meat. repsect that and dont justs bash nobody cos u think A or B oughta be whatever it is u're used to. Never judge a man 'till u walk a mile in his shoes |

Hahahah! this country will not kill me o! chai! I cant stop laffin. my fellow nigerians, I hope that old 'educated' man of many accolades realizes that employment rate is nearly 80% plus in the country. so, as hard as the remaining 1/5th are having it already him wan add mandatory bukata for their neck. does this even make any sense at all?! a small bulk of the population donating to sustain the huge majority. my friend it's suppose to be the other way around. lets not even forget that the 'other' factor go enter matter: men gettting benefits with multiple id, even when dem get job already. or better still men making becoming 'professional' benefit earners, heheh abeg brainstorm more innovative means of sustainable job creation and stop insulting the intelligence of the nigerian with all this your imported mumu-nes. with acute mixed emotions, it's me, mr common sense |
I SAY LEGALIZE THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS! LET THE BATTLE BEGIN, FOR ALL THOSE WHO WAN TALK RUBBISH, LISTEN TO FELA, "I NO WAN DIE, MAME DEY FOR HOUSE, I GET SMALL CHILD" |

Nimshi:Nimshi! in which country do you leave where red changes thru amber then to green?! mr man/woman, red changes directly to green! People, Amber does NOT equal stop! RED does! however, you have to be cautious, if the light changes to amber and your distance is the length of one or two vehicles from the light, you prolly oughta move so the guy behind doesnt kiss your ass, at regulated speeds, from that distance you would pass the light before it turns red. @ poster the lastma wey catch u, if that was the case, simply ENFORCED strict rules for egunje, or how you take settle am last last?! |

Does anybody know any original Yoruba or Nigerian, or even African (bed time) love (fantasy) stories? Kindly, feel free to share. |
Oh please. Fashola is only doing his job. He was *elected* by *us* to serve US! Though I commend his administration and approve its proactive engagement in the issues of the State, I beleive we are only scratching the surface and the light at the end of the tunnel is still far off. Let's not move faster than our legs can carry us here. First the basics, structured shelter; defined transport system; proactive security measures, etc etc Fashola's administration sure is headed up that steep slope of development. even though it's been crippled to a large extent by our federal centralized system (nationally). However, it's a good start. Relatively, quite some changes in over a year plus. However, let us remember that we have not reached *Canaan* yet. Let's keep walking, shall we |
damola i concur with you on most issues. educate and engage the traders first, so they understand the tax process and why it is essential to pay, althought the govt. claims to have good intentions, the end oughtta justify the means. it'll be a shame if the govt just gathers enough dough from these traders and say " oh ok, you can all go about your business like nothing happen" i bet you then the traders will find ways to go around the acts and not pay, it IS the responsibility of any leadership to educate and sensitize the minds of its followers and not bully them into corners all the time. yes the beautification process is welcome , yes brt is a feeble but good start in the attempt to solve transportation issues. yes the govt needs tax as revenue to oil the development process. but man, let's start from the basics, developing our own minds first so we may identify and analyze our problems (and successes) so as to propose adequate solutions and maybe anticipate future challenges that may come our way in the future. GODSPEED Nigeria, let's not give up but let's try to do it right. |
November 20 has been decreed Africa Industrialization Day by the United Nations since 1989 - part of an attempt to mobilise the international community towards helping the continent build its economy. But does Africa need to industrialize to develop? Post - independence Africa was awash with elaborate schemes to make the continent self-reliant. However very few such initiatives remain today, owing to a mixture of mismanagement, poor planning and a lack of expertise. So is industrialization still the answer or should Africa focus on a different route to development? Is Africa ready to fully industrialise? Should there be an industrial revolution in Africa? Have your say.
