AZeD1:When the financial crisis hit the US in 2008, the govt. had to bail out wall street, the alternative then meant a looming depression, massive unemployment and the likes. Now agreed this isn't in anyway as major as that, but still if the opportunity cost of doing so is less, government can always intervene, introduce an economic incentive to assist companies from closure. |
Truth be told, if I also have a similar amount of money in the bank, with the current trend I will do same. This though will negatively affect the economy, I.e. when large sums of money are redrawn. Other politicians will follow suit. EFCC should take baby steps, so that Nigeria doesn't die in the process of "fighting corruption". |
iykmora:I doubt that, cersei will kill him. What could possibly make young King Tomnen commit suicide ![]() The High sparrow has ulterior motives and so does Margery... Sunday's Episode will reveal a lot. |
Haba na, the Federal government should step in and bail out companies like this. If Silverbird is closed down, it's average Nigerians like me and you that will lose their jobs and suffer. This is common sense, the government should put systems in place to help business and companies from closing down. The military approach wouldn't work here. I have said my own, if things keep getting hard the masses will protest. |
Hmm if I recall correctly Falana and or his party allegedly benefitted also from the Arms deal. It is well |
Interesting.. If true. So much is going in Nigeria of late, its becoming hard to keep up. God please help Nigeria. |
He made a bit of sense, though I ain't against the war on corruption, the government needs to understand that fighting corruption is PART of their mandate NOT ALL. Of it. When you devote all effort on it at the detriment of other primary responsibilities of government, the multiplier effect will be disastrous. Corruption will always fight back, more time should be spent building institutions and enforcing already made laws. If banks followed these laws, the huge sums of money we hear been transferred and deposited wouldn't have been possible. The government should focus on the loopholes, blocking lines and medium of corruption and not only on recovering looted fund. Else if per adventure APC loses in 2019 or Buhari doesn't contest, we go back to square one - Corruption is revived. |
Interesting. . The Story might be true or false, personally I feel the EFCC chairman isn't diplomatic in his approach, though I am a novice in matters of probe and prosecution, but it looks to me like he's handling too many cases at once, accounts are frozen too early without substantive evidence and trials started when lawyers are still unprepared. I wonder why a prosecutor (FG Lawyers)will be asking the judge for more time to gather evidence, dude, you are the one prosecuting, you brought the case before the court. That said, if the chief of staff is becoming dictatorial, it's incumbent on his boss to cut him to size. He looks like he will be a very wicked man sef, with that his body structure. My opinion o, all of God's creation are beautiful. ![]() |
I wouldn't advise any guy to. She must have committed any offense to have been sentenced. She needs to face the consequences of her actions. |
Season finale Sunday night... can't wait.... Hope Cersei burns kings landing with the wild fire. I think she will kill tommen. |
They are both pretty, but B mehn has seductive eyes. that can always come in handy. |
blackpanda:Dude please be enlightened. Don't speak so much on things you know very little about. There are 2 ambassadorial lists, the career ( those who work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and the Political (this can be any tom, dick or Harry). I believe in your comment you are referring to the latter, Buhari hasn't yet release this batch- the political ambassadors and when he eventually does no one will complain as it is his prerogative to appoint who ever. But when selecting career ambassadors he is mandated to follow the principle of Seniority and Federal Character. So please get information on a particular subject before spewing ignorance. |
blackpanda:Issues with the list: 1) Borno State, for instance, has three nominees, while Adamawa, Bauchi, Kano and Katsina has two each. 2) disregard for seniority: nominees from Adamawa, Benue, Borno, Katsina, Kebbi, Ekiti, Kogi and Lagos states were junior officers, who have been elevated above more senior and experienced colleagues. 3) selection of 10 out of 47 nominees from National Intelligence Agency (NIA). This is against the rules establishing the NIA as a separate entity from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a flagrant violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961. The Vienna Convention stipulates the character and nature of people eligible for appointment as principal representatives abroad and heads of diplomatic missions. If you want more info read here: https://www.nairaland.com/3177867/20-directors-mfa-allege-nepotism |
longjohn101: Candyrain:Not only federal character, they appointed junior officers in some states like Kebbi, Ekiti, Lagos and skipped the senior officer that merited the appointment. |
Great move the list reeks of nepotism. How will you appoint junior officers skipping the senior officers. It's wrong and even worse 3 nominees from Borno state because the list was prepared by Kingibe a Borno man. We Nigerians say NO, I believe Buhari is oblivious to this, but he needs to pick his associates more carefully. |
If you are seeing her off, meaning you will be in the cab with her, then yes you can pay the tfare. Though personally it would be awkward if a guy offers me TP on the first date or even future dates. Depending on my assessment of the guy, it's either I feel he is belittling me, or he's too nice, either way it's weird and I would reject it. So i don't recommend you do except you know her financial state needs it. |
Ramsay is mad, purely mad. What a way to kill Richon, he deliberately missed some shots to create that suspense, to give Jon false hope that he can save his brother. There is nothing more painful and inhumane that this. I would have chopped him up myself to pieces to be fed to the hounds, his death wasn't brutal enough sef. |
It depends on the context the hit was made, if y'all were arguing (mood tensed, getting angry) then it's wrong, you should NEVER result to violence particularly with a lady. If you guys were just casually arguing, mood not yet tensed then it's no biggy. I am very stubborn so I guess I understand what you mean by some ladies being provocative. Still that's no justification for hitting me, because even when you eventually apologize I will not forget. To answer your question it doesn't make you bad, even the nicest of men have a limit what's important is how you handle the situation. and how remorse you feel. |
It depends, truth is you can never know what goes on in another persons mind. We can only assume, if I am to assume I'd say he enjoys your company to have forfeited work to be with you, as some wouldn't. But I can't conclude its love, that's a complicated one to decode. |
Sweet, ladies should also pamper men with gifts, shouldn't be one way. Nice ride... |
Bonethugss:Exactly my thought, what rubbish... |
I hope this is done, I expected this story to be on Nairalands front page. How will senior directors be skipped and their subordinates appointed as ambassadors. It's never done. It's the height of nepotism and we Nigerians should not accept it. What's rubbush... I am sure Buhari himself is oblivious to this that's why leaders needs to pick his advisers and associates very carefully. |
Chai, not 1 or 2, a whole 13, damn. Thank God for the Audible app, you can listen to books on the go. .. 48 laws of power is nice, the audio version though. |
He is getting married if and when he wants to get married. Tell me OP are you interested ![]() Because if not, then it ain't ya f.ucking business. |
Lol.. well that's a call for the guys, because usually most female corpers are mega desperate to marry sef. Nigerian guys been f.ucking up since..... |
NO NO NO. A married man is always a NO NO, except he's legally divorced. That said, what is it about married men that's so attractive, I am also guilty of this, had a crush once, though handled it diplomatically and maturely. But why are they appealing ![]() |
Hmmm. Someone is in love.. Happy for you though, it's indeed a nice feeling. |
The effect of drug abuse... We always warn them but they don't listen.. |
Seems you really don't understand the concept of love. You can love someone without being in a relationship with the person . Though while its common for lovers to be a couple it's not a must nor mandatory. That said, love is overrated. Usually people don't fall in love, they just over time become fond of each other. There's a thin line between love and fondness.
|
Hmm. How does that make him a nerd ![]() Please work on your choice of words. Endeavour to have a good understanding of a word before using it. Seven blessing to you. |
The governor is pretty young, just 41, wouldn't it be nice to be a governor at that age.... |
It's simply a case of you don't want what you have, but need it the moment someone else grabs it. It might be psychological, I guess when ladies meet you and you begin the toasting/pre-dating phase, you don't leave much to be desired. Ladies access guys from dates, I might be wrong but it's possible either you do too much at first, so they feel your boyfriend roles even when you haven't gotten the boyfriend position or you do too little do they don't feel you meet up with the expectations for the position. |
