OpenYourEyes1:Bullshiit. Any racial diversity occurred after they had fled Jerusalem following the Roman invasion, and lived among other peoples. The original Israelites who lived in ancient Israel were a black people, most of whom fled into Africa after the fall of their kingdom. Why would they flee to Europe, in the same direction their invaders came from? Nobody ever does that. |
Yeah, the ancient Israelites, who were blacks of course, were also cursed in Deuteronomy. I guess that is why Africa ended up in a mess. “Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God.” -Psalm 68:31 'Ethiopia' was the ancient name for all of Africa south of Egypt. This is a clear prophecy about future suffering on the then prosperous African continent. But our recovery is also prophesied. |

ShySteady:Olodo. Na you be monkey, as you dey reason like pure mumu. |
ShySteady:Inferioriy Complex. ''Let them keep it because we do not have maintenance culture''. But we had ''maintenance culture'' before they found the artefacts and stole them, abi? Nonsense. Some of those artefacts were more than 500 years old at the time they were looted by the British in 1897. I wonder how we managed to ''maintain'' them so well for hundreds of years without Oyibo, Mr ''I need white man''. No wonder we have problems in this country. We give up without even trying. Colonialism has made us believe we are incapable of doing anything serious without foreign assistance. |
Olu317:It's really amazing to see how organized and advanced we were over 5,000 years ago. Definitely, without all those foreign invasions from Arabs and Europeans, we would have been like Wakanda by now. |
Sleekfingers:Your English is like that of an illiterate motorpark tout ''if compare with a normal person own''. |

https://www.crystalinks.com/kermacity.jpg Not many folks know about the great black African city of Kerma, capital of the Kerma Kingdom. Founded in 3000 BC, it is one of the oldest known established urban centres on earth. Its descendants became the great Kushites or Nubians, who defeated Roman forces in battles, conquered Egypt, and became great historical rivals of the Egyptian empire. ''Around 3000 BC, a cultural tradition began around Kerma. It was a large urban center that was built around a large adobe temple known as the Western Deffufa. As a capital city and location of royal burials, it sheds light on the complex social structure present in this society.'' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerma Kerma Kingdom: ''The Kingdom of Kerma was located in what is today, Sudan. This kingdom has been regarded as the first Nubian state, and its capital, Kerma, is today an important archaeological site.'' https://www.ancient-origins.net/ancient-places-africa/forgotten-kingdom-kerma-and-its-incredible-deffufas-006597 https://media.nationalgeographic.org/assets/photos/106/682/50424075-c711-4a6c-bcbd-384fa8822890.jpg ''By 1750 BC, the kings of Kerma were powerful enough to organize the labor for monumental walls and structures of mud brick. They also had rich tombs with possessions for the afterlife .... George Reisner excavated sites at Kerma and found large tombs and palace-like structures. The structures, named (Deffufa), alluded to the early stability in the region.'' https://www.ancient-origins.net/sites/default/files/styles/large/public/Statues-of-pharaohs.jpg?itok=zUCxoBnQ Statues of pharaohs of the Twenty-fifth Dynasty of Egypt (Black Pharaohs) discovered near Kerma In 2003, archaeologist Charles Bonnet heading a team of Swiss archaeologists excavating near Kerma discovered a cache of monumental black granite statues of the Pharaohs of the Twenty-fifth Dynasty of Egypt now exposed in the Kerma Museum. Among the sculptures were ones belonging to the dynasty's last two pharaohs, Taharqa and Tanoutamon, whose statues are described as "masterpieces that rank among the greatest in art history." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerma_culture https://www.crystalinks.com/piyenubia.jpg ''Kerma was occupied continuously from 2,500 BCE until 1,500 BCE dating it to much the same time period as the Old and the Middle Kingdoms in Egypt. This agricultural and urban state controlled the area from the first to the fourth cataract and there is evidence they were an important trading power with an agricultural hinterland supporting an urban elite.'' Kerma City: ''Clearly this was a sophisticated urban center, with the wealth and strength to threaten the Egyptian Pharaonic power. Indeed some have suggested that perhaps the preceding communities known as Pre-Kerma (that emerged in the 4th Millennium BCE) had an influence on the development of Egyptian culture, suggesting that the early cultural influence and innovation came from the south and travelled north with the current on the Nile.'' http://www.somuchmoretosee.com/2017/05/the-ancient-civilization-of-kerma-sudan.html Kerma Ruins Kerma’s Monuments https://www.ancient-origins.net/sites/default/files/styles/large/public/western-deffufa.jpg?itok=BUMJfhxV The Western Deffufa One of the types of monumental work believed to have been built during this time is called the deffufa. The word ‘deffufa’ is either derived from the Nubian term for a mud-brick building or from the Arabic word ‘daffa’, meaning ‘mass’ or ‘pile’. There are three known deffufas, i.e. the western deffufa, the eastern deffufa, and a third lesser known deffufa. ''The western deffufa is the best preserved of the three. Like the other two deffufas, the walls of the western deffufa are constructed of mudbricks. In the scorching heat, these walls help to cool the interior of the structure. The western deffufa has been measured to be 18 m (59.06 ft.) in height, and covers an area of about 1400 square meters (15069 sq. ft.) There are columned chambers connected by a network of passageways in this three store structure. The decorations and paintings on the interior walls have also been preserved, and a shrine on the roof of the building has been discovered. Whilst the western deffufa is almost certainly connected to the religious life of the people of Kerma, its precise function is still uncertain.'' ''At one point, Kerma came very close to conquering Egypt. Egypt suffered a serious defeat at the hands of the Kushites. According to Davies, head of the joint British Museum and Egyptian archaeological team, the attack was so devastating that if the Kerma forces chose to stay and occupy Egypt, they might have eliminated it for good and brought the great nation to extinction.'' http://www.crystalinks.com/nubia.html https://cdn.face2faceafrica.com/www/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Wikimedia-Commons.jpg https://www.crystalinks.com/meroegreatenclosure2.jpg Nubian Ruins near Kerma https://www.coxandkingsusa.com/resources/images/countries/sudan.jpg Nubian Pyramids, Sudan 2,000-year-old relief Carving Shows Stylishly Plump African Princess of Kerma/Nubia https://www.crystalinks.com/kushprincess113.jpg ''Classic Kerma is when the Kingdom of Kerma experienced its golden age. It was during this period that its rulers successfully took control of Egyptian fortresses and gold mines in the Second cataract. The strength and importance of this kingdom may also be seen in the alliance that was proposed to them by the Hyksos in Lower Egypt around 1580 BC. Furthermore, monumental constructions were undertaken during this time to reflect the might of the kingdom.'' https://www.ancient-origins.net/ancient-places-africa/forgotten-kingdom-kerma-and-its-incredible-deffufas-006597 |
Nemesis001:You are an animal. How many schools have you personally visited in the last year ''in the whole of Nigeria''? I bet the answer is zero. Yet you ''know''. Stupid asswipe. |
ChiefAzubuike:I can name every member of that team and instruct you on how they each played, from Odebgami to Adokiye. From Muda Lawal to goalkeeper Emmanuel Okala. Have you ever heard of Okey Isima? Small pikin. |
ChiefAzubuike:Goat. I watched Godwin Odiye's own goal that messed up our world cup qualifier for the 1978 World Cup. Dem don born you that time? Or you were still sucking breast? |
wagazala:My brother can you imagine these small children of yesterday insulting Jay Jay Okocha? I just felt like slapping the guy. |
ChiefAzubuike:Oh shut up... You know nothing about his games. Just feeding on stereotypes. He scored NUMEROUS GOALS, with MULTIPLE ASSISTS. Go on Youtube and learn about Jay Jay Okocha. Small pikin talking rubbish. |
Chrismentor3:He's the KING OF MAGIC FOOTBALL. And THOUSANDS of Youtube commenters from across the world agree. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5fKKEdDYKw |
Nasafina:Honestly, we have issues. Sometimes I wonder if we Africans are under a spell or curse that makes us behave like this. The Chinese and Indians would never allow a foreign firm to design this in their countries until they have exhausted all possibilities for indigenous production. Only THEN will they consider foreigners. In our case we go straight to the foreigners. |
computergeek:My thoughts exactly. |
TedExNairaland:You have no clue what part of the country I come from. YOU made it an ''eastern problem''. Because you are an ethnic bigot you automatically assume that criticism levelled against your state govt must come from someone from a different ethnic group, who hates your people. Get rid of your sickness, cos that's what it is. And no I haven't posted images from Ibadan or Ogun state or Osun state, in my entire time on this forum, and if I did, there would be no open gutters and sandy streets in the display. |
TedExNairaland:I look at issues as a Nigerian and not as an ethnic bigot like you. And you WILL get a lot of ''negativity' if you post SUBSTANDARD RUBBISH here, hoping it will ''impress'' people here. Our standards are higher than you seem to think. You can create an ''Igbo forum'' where you can pat yourselves on the back for substandard projects. On Nairaland, the standards are higher. Here's a word of advice. If you see a newly built road in your state that has no sidewalks or covered drains, refuse to post it here as ''development''. That will save you the embarrassment of hearing from the likes of myself, while serving to inform your leaders that they should build infrastructure to higher standards than they currently do. |
TedExNairaland:I am not in America. And you do NOT have to be in America to know that you must build a road with sidewalks and covered drains. Little Jamaica that I visited a few years back, if you go there, you will not see a single open gutter on any street. Every street has sidewalks, even in the poorest areas of Kingston and other cities. You will not see a single grain of sand on the streets. Jamaica is not a rich country. I think they export bauxite and maybe bananas, and that's it. |
TedExNairaland:Wrong attitude. When you ''calm down'', nothing gets done. And our kids continue to breathe in gutter fumes, and walk along dangerous dirt paths along the road. It's not even about the leaders' intelligence per se. They know what needs to be done, but because the citizens are ''calmed down'' and accept their substandard rubbish, we see no improvement. |
TedExNairaland:Why are you concerned about Lagos? They've gone a lot further than you have. https://i.imgur.com/d98ehpM.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Y5YJJxg.jpg https://i.imgur.com/dnxJVRr.jpg https://i.imgur.com/bfp5voZ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/fvnvzTk.jpg https://i.imgur.com/kQhUYLy.jpg https://i.imgur.com/ssPeC2G.jpg https://i.imgur.com/eClAa7o.jpg https://i.imgur.com/5fJyD66.jpg |
TedExNairaland:There has to be a NATIONAL STANDARD for all road construction. Any roads built in residential or commercial areas, which have open gutters and no sidewalks must be designated as roads that are STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION. Incomplete projects. A citizen has the right to come out of his home and walk on a paved surface designated for pedestrians. It is not a luxury. It is a right. Our drains are supposed to be COVERED. You are not supposed to see any open gutters along your street or anywhere else. Apart from their unsightliness, they are dangerous to the health and well being of the people. |
TedExNairaland:I ALWAYS criticize roads and streets built without sidewalks, WHEREVER they are displayed. The Lagos people on NL have the GOOD SENSE not to post primitive roads with no sidewalks. I've never seen any main road built by a Lagos govt without sidewalks and covered drains for the past ten years. The eastern states still continue this primitive road building practice. Until you BLOCK HEADS learn that THIS is how a street should look in a civilized society, you will keep getting ridiculed, as you well deserve. https://nacto.org/wp-content/themes/sink_nacto/views/design-guides/retrofit/urban-street-design-guide/images/sidewalks/carousel//retail-sidewalk.jpg As u can see, we are not complaining ...thanks.You are not complaining because you don't know any better, and you don't know your rights. |
www.nairaland.com/attachments/8114928_6387888ochiedikejpegjpegdcfa3bcdb3c816a7815ca2740267c3f1_jpeg1f02059a48b83ff7e51caa02a4f8a8c9 So if I want to walk along this road, where do I do it? Many of our leaders are just plain dumb and stupid. Their followers are just as ignorant for the most part, which is why the leaders get away with building this primitive garbage. In their stupid minds, roads are only meant for cars. Pedestrians are not citizens of Nigeria. They can walk on the narrow sandy path, or inside the open gutter, for all our 'leaders' care. Yet these same leaders travel to Europe and America every day, and see how things are done. Useless fools. |
TedExNairaland:As usual, roads built with open drainage and no sidewalks for pedestrians. GARBAGE. |
He read the speech at the UK High commissioner's residence. How is it any of Nigeria's business if he used a lantern or whatever to read? He should take that up with the high commission staff. Or Britain cannot afford a standby generator there, with their trillion dollar annual budget? Rubbish. Abeg make we hear something jare.. |
Fantastic. Henry Onyekuru is probably the most gifted young player in the world today. |
nineone:Good talk. Childish and petty. |
Xander85:Charles is more or less the defacto king of England now, as heir to the throne, given their queen's age and limited travel etc. Also, his advanced age makes him worthy of respect even by kings, and so it isn't really a big deal. He's virtually a king without the actual title. |
Nnamdi Kanu is in Jerusalem chopping life while his followers are here crying Biafra. This life ehn..?.. |
