Next time, do everything you can to avoid bringing (Client vs Engineer) online. If you think I dey lie, go ask Brabus or N3xt. The internet never forgets.

Some of this issues could have been resolved amicably offline. You see ...you win some and you lose some... That's business.
Just so you know...this little fiasco will taint and will put holes in your reputation, Which will make many possible future clients (especially in diaspora) to think twice before dealing with you.
Always ask yourself ...Do you want to win the battle or the war?

BTW: I fight with my engineer on site daily. He resents my guts because I'm not easy to deal with but still a good client... �. Know your customer. They are your best way to advertise...

Why am I writing this? .....Well, I was considering you for an assignment before but was disappointed to see how this was escalated.

well that's from the angle of view but the ideal distance for two tanks is 6ft by 7ft. The size of the bottom of 2,500 gallons is 4.5ft at most. Two of such is approximately 9ft. Now the load bearing units are 6ft apart and the projected part is 2ft at both sides culminating to 10-11ft space. The extra 1-2ft is for the plumber to be able to move around and do the connection.

This way, majority of the load is on the channels which act as pillars making the tank firm and sturdy. The weight of the water is transferred directly to the foundation.

This is how I work though

This your Design is nice and I termed it as cantilever system.
Both this and the one I showed up there will work very well.
The load from the tank will go straight to the 4 top round H beam ( this stand as the beam) then the load from the beam will then transfer to the standing 4 H beam ( Column) then this will now go straight to the foundation……

the distance between the channels is way too much sir. Those standing channels are load bearing units and the tanks are meant to rest on them. The way they're standing, they will be holding up the components of the tank stand instead of the tanks.

This is from the little experience I gathered doing this not an aspersions on the quality of your job.

Thanks for your comment, may be it’s from the angle you viewed it. The distance is about 2.3 *1.7m and the H Beam is 8”. It will also come with many bracing,
The foundation is combine footing design.
He did same thing for me here last year ( pics attached )

I just want to express my experience with Rotech. I knew him via Nairaland when I was building my house 6 years ago. I bought all my plumbing materials from him then. To me, he was a honest and Trustworthy individual. I' m based in UK, and I have to transferred money directly into his account. On numerous occasion, I even asked him to inspect some jobs done to ascertain the quality for me without paying him a penny. I was a bit surprised when I was reading the issues, he's having with another person. I am not defending him, but just sharing my own personal experience I had with him. Thanks

I know you never ran away and haven't shown to be such a person so far but somethings outside money can ruin people's reputation and business.

We are on top of it in other note flat roof wood work is diff to hip roof wood work.

Can somebody show another flat roof with more wood than the pics of the exact site we are talking about here. Aluminium roof ooo … See the wood work below even at that when pop demand for more 2*2 we provide more for him. .. about 50-60pcs to hang pop that is function of 2*2 now

Actually I have said it that I will not reply him on this matter agains but bcs of you I will just go straight to the point again is short form

The 1st time he called me A STUPID Man was when he raise an issue and said that he should not let us argue much on the matter I will resolve the matter .. boom he called me STUPID haha

Second time I we have discussed an issue for several minute and I told him that I need to go now that we revisit it again .. boom he called me STUPID Man again. Then I warn him not to say such again .. I have all the chart evidence for this.

Now to issue of leakage as I explained in my 1st post
1. Leakage is caused by a bend plank ( this is normal in construction) in ONLY one point which we did and up till now No leakage there .

The rest of the leakage was caused by artisan he employed which his site supervisor was well aware of these and I still repair if for him without paying me KOBO bcs he turn the whole matter to fight and I just play gentle man here to make things fine after his supervisor begged that I should just do my best and leave the rest for GOD.
The tanks area I covered which cost me 100lk was a discussion btw me and him on how to save cost on scalfolding of about 1.6m and i prover system of puting the tank up but I said if it didn’t work then we covered it back,
He didn’t pay me for this

Now your tiler caused another leakage again ( this room didn not leak for one day since beginning ooo ) and you rush to call me to fix that again when all evidence shown the real men behind this
Damage .. you now asked me to repair it again free Who does that ?

This are part of additional cost to my head plus electrical in some area of the building which caused about 70k plus or so I have the chart records he said never he will not pay , when such area was not in our discussion at the beginning and it’s doesn’t reflect on the drawing, immediately he paid for the electrical bill finished he stared bring all this additional.. I have the record of the complain to him then

I know his plan bcs he didn’t want to pay my balance of 250k plus all those mentioned above

BOLU i don’t need to argue with you here, but it’s a lie that your people you engage told you not to do such design in such area ?
More so you said the 2*2 is not enough for you In 2 or 3 places wish I was on site my self and I bought another 60pcs of the said 2*2 to give you more enough hanger to hang your pop.
Look I don’t need to say much about yours
But I will advise you also not to do much heavy designs in the remaining place.

Same roofer and same Carpenter did the Benin work you just finished the pop .
So I don’t have much issue with you here but only advise to let your client know about such heavy designs it’s only good where steel was used.

Diff time and at diff portion

Good evening to all members here.
First of foremost I will like mr Akinola ( my cleint ) to define what is fraudulent. If he can’t, then a well learned person should help him out.

Let’s go straight to the matter.
Few months back he called me to complain about the roof we did that it’s leaking, I quickly called my roofer and Carpenter to move to site to check.
Here is what they met.
1 A small leakage at passage ( caused by a plank which looks bend) immediately this was changed and the leakage stoped till this moment.

2. A leakage in wall is edges area caused by the nature of the flat roof he know this that it usually occurred on flat roof which I have told him from beginning that suck area do need . Felt, tiles or aluminum which said he know and there is plan to tiled the area. ( that is not a leakage roof issue)

Another day he called again that there is a leakage again but serous one after heavy rain.quickly my men rush to site to check but it was discovered that the said area is WATER TANK AREA
I said ok I message him immediately that the tank area needs to be covered back and move the tank downward. ( actually I advised him to let’s place tank there before but due the flat roof section the tank was placed it didn’t work out)
To my surprise my cleint said I’m the one to foot the bill which cost about 100k plus to covered the tank area. I did it all in name of reputation and member on Nairaland … sisi he didn’t pay ..

Fast forward to another 2-3 weeks again another message of leakage.. GOD why naa
My men rush down to site again BUT this time around it’s the Entrance posh … thank God the site supervisor and some workers are there and everyone saw it clearly that the Window design guys and some workers he engaged messed up with the roof of this verander porch ( bcs the place is not leaking since day one, until this men work there .. they messed up with the roof .. BUT guest WHAT my cleint said I should do it free again I said NEVER I will not do it but at the end of the day
… ( Rotech come again with his idea to please human being foolish me again)
I did it ooo my cleint did pay penny for it.. another ABOUt 30k again.
Going to 200k spent on what I don’t collect money for plus my old balance still with him which is 250k going to 450k now

Lastly
Before this time there was a day we argue about additional work which I said I will not do he started calling me a STUPID MAN not only once oo until I warned him use such language for me.
And I told him I will not do the said additional work but at the end of the day I still do it oo NO ADDITIONAL FEE . Then when I said he will go to nairaland I told him what he want he said I should do it works free ok I did it I move on ( he claimed I beg him here not to go to nairaland .. mr Akinola post your prove here where I beg yo.)

See at time if vendor or contractor try to settle matter amicably it’s not bcs the said person is timid oo … so get that straight to your head.

Since the last time we did this area, that is about 3weeks now nobody called to complains

Lastly this last Friday he called again roof again… what happens again … God this man will not kill me with what I don’t know about.
Well o told him my roofer will show up on Monday, today .. boom by 7:30 my roofer was on site , he did the checking on the said area he discovered that the tiler he gave work ( the cleint l) have messed up with the roof while tiling the parapet inner section.
Immediately he send me pics and video amd I called his supervisor to come over to see it but the man was too far to the site at that time. But sent him the pics and video amd he see it clearly that the cause it not from our end.
More so my roofer spoke with the pop guy( we know this guy in one of site in Benin we worked with the pop contractor) he tell my roofer that he told his oga that the design the cleint choose for those upper roof is too heave which can cause damage to the plank now or later but he said his oga look for another person to do the design and he only focused on another work there …. To him such heavy designs is good where the prop is steel.
This also has a little effect on the roof but not major as that of the messed up area by the TILER’s
