ceelog: Permit me to digress
I observed here in Nigeria we rarely use plywood for kitchen cabinetry works and get them painted therafer with high quality wood paints. I noticed most home renos on TV do this a lot and I feel it gives lots of options as years go by.
Am I making sense or are we just resigned to MDF/HDF combo? You are very correct with the observation but the problem is that most furniture maker are lazy this days some are not good to work with natural wood. What most of them do now is “ cut and fix “ work materials “ mdf and HDF board. My 50yrs plus old furniture man told me 3 days ago the hardship they face now to get more Labour to do real wood work, this bring the high cost on any real wood work like doors, kitchen cabinets etc |

FEGEITOK: Smiles....I was a bit confused by your review, now I understand.
I am still thinking if the 77k for 20L is worth it. Sadly we don't have reviews here like we have online for other parts of the world. I am really interested in learning how long it lasted before needing a refresh.
Until I have that information, I think the 39k 20L is an acceptable compromise.
I have actually been talking to Sandtex. I love their range of colors and the fact that they have machines in their stores to tint the paint to any color I want.
From my research only Caplux had equal capabilities.
Berger was ruled out because they didn't have the deep colors I wanted to use.
I want to use uncommon colors in my build and I didn't like what the roadside paint shop did for me when I patronized them 2 years ago. Hence the research that led to Dulux, Caplux and Sandtex. For exterior wall use weather shield dulux. For interior use there trade type. That is if you are going for dulux I used same here for these two diff buildings 4yrs Ago and 7yrs ago still looking good till today r No repaint since then. But I don’t know if it’s still remain same quality ooo although I have some others building that I just painted few years back with same paint and caplux for like 3yrs 2yrs 1yr

FEGEITOK: Nice.
I narrowed down my paint choices to Dulux, Sandtex, Caplux and Berger.
That CAP PLC bought Sandtex validates my research. No wonder why the Sandtex website disappeared from the internet.
Thanks for your feedback Yea that is the reason about their web Here is the new price list from there head office at ikeja

kopell: My experience with submersible pumps, original Interdab1hp never disappoint in last 15 years when I brought the first one even since, is still the best in my experience with their output capacity. I bought couple of them for different locations since then. Either Russian or Italian made. The last one I brought pumped 10,000liters in less than 20 mins with over 95 meter depth of borehole, if it's not commercial borehole I don't think the guy needs to 2 hp, .75hp to 1hp is good enough to pump over 100 meters in my opinion You are right sir 0.5-0.75hp is perfectly ok for 30-40metrs depth bore hole While 1hp-1.5hp is ok for 100meters |

FEGEITOK: My research on paints indicates that Dulux, Caplux and Sandtex paints are made by the same company targeting different segments of the market/purchasing power. Dulux, caplux are same company (dulux is the trade type while caplux is Nigeria made lesser in quality to Dulux’ Sandtex is another company entirely |

diordaves: Most 'standard' plasterboards (or drywall as you Americans will call it) available in the Nigerian market are considerably thinner in size than what you would normally buy in Home Depot across the Atlantic.
Just like floor tiles. Tiles available across the Atlantic are considerably thicker than in the Nigerian market.
In Nigeria you will struggle to get a 12mm/18mm plasterboard. What's readily available are about 9mm/10mm.
So for those who may need a thicker measurement probably for better sound proofing, project managing the manual process is the way to go. You are very correct but depends on your budget I got 12.5mm board at jibowu at the rate of 12,500 for this my current project, it’s one of the best product in mkt. I also stumble on some cheap a products sold for 9k. But I don’t need such my agreement with my client was to use thick one. Only that some artisans, contractors, home owners want cheap deal.
