This story hold no water at all. Which bank boy/lady in his right senses will demand for #10k before offering a service that is free? . To who's account will the money go to? The BM? The HOP or the whole bank wl use it to buy chewing gum for xmas? . Have u thought your brother COULD have gotten some of his friends to speak to you on phone & act like the bank tellar? . Did the person you spoke to TELL you in person that he will charge you #10k to pay your brother? . And no bank will EVER tell you they don't accept national I.d card as it is even more accepted than the driver's liscence you claim they required! Why didn't your brother go to another branch? . @Payless, all you guys who stay out there do is blame people at home for not been trustworthy & trying to rip you off. . Spit that thought out of your system. You also share in the blame. . You have up to #3.5m to invest and in whatever currency its not small money at all. And you sit down in ur comfort zone, send money to ur in-law who probably has no single hand-on experience in hospitality management. Like I told Jaidospor, there are professionals who help manage these things, who will be reliable. . Did you or your inlaw do dilligent market survey? Did you guys do location assessment for your franchise? I can imagine setting up such a huge project around a Polytechnic school area in ur village where the students barely survive on 2 meals per day & yet you expect profit from such location? . Get real people out there, as long as you can't take a week off & book a ticket down to even do ur logistics right, people will always be ready to scam you out of your hard earned currency! . @Jaidospor, reality is that every business has a risk of its own. Forget about who you dealing with because any relationship where money is involved may always backfire in the long run. My candid advice, there are companies who lease those dump trucks from you for a period of 3 or 6 months and you both sit down and agree on payment & terms & conditions. You even have lawyers to sign agreement documents for both parties. Never believe any manager will be paying you up to that amount even if he gets it. That's greed anyway. Always try to deal with professionals & not some struggling bimbo trying so hard to find his own feet. |

Made my first million from the BANK....yes you read well...the bank! . I had a rare privilege to have gotten paid about #30m from my dad's property & assets which he decided to reduce after realising they are getting too numerous to monitor & maintain!! . Since he wasn't in the country when the funds came in, I practically took the money to the bank, negotiated with the bank guys....got a good % from them and decided to fix the money for just 3months, before he was back and needed his money! I fixed at a rate of 8% back then, and you can do the maths. free money, no hassles!! |

This is to bring to our attention how most dealers here don't seem to know the difference between a brand new car and a tokunbo car!!!! . It is becoming a source of worry when most people put up a car for sale, mostly Nigerian used cars and they go ahead to call it bought brand new!! . On further investigation, you discover the car was bought as a tokunbo at the ports & used for a while in Nigeria before putting it up for sale!!! . A car that is brand new means a car that has never been used by anyone else. Cars been used for a month or two can never even be referred to as brand new. . Please take note....realistic dealers like Inspired_M & Phemmy Autos and others who buy good clean cars with very low mileage refer to their cars as Almost LIKE brand new, not brand new. . Please let's be honest & realistic with our adverts here! A tokunbo car is not a brand new car!!!!!!!! Thanks. 1 Like |
