Yyeske:What would he have done that won't have resulted in the lost of lives and property in the region? As it stands now, if NK is arrested, it would require force to tame his diehard follower. |
This is exactly what I feared would happen. Gradually the struggle in turning inwards towards brothers. Is there anything we could do to forestall this before it gets out of hand? Obiano may be lenient now because of the forthcoming election, but believe me, after the elections, whether he wins or not, he won't tolerate this insubordination and that may spell doom. |
AmuDimkpa:I mean his approach recently |
AmuDimkpa:The gods that are making him deaf should please focus on him alone and spare other well meaning Igbos scattered all over the nation. My worry is that the worst harm is about to or may result from the best of intentions. As we speak, the Igbos are even more divided than united concerning this agitation. |
Why go to Lagos at this time? Have you fully sensitized the Eastern states where many are still not in support of IPOB? Not even a visit to Asaba yet. Clearly, this is a trap. NK knows going outside the Eastern states may trigger violence or resistance from the FGN or the usual 'i-don-kia' attitude from the near non-existent government we have in Nigeria. I guess the FGN had been calm knowing arresting/sentencing him may trigger violence that will definitely lead to the death of many innocent/ignorant ones. But NK doesn't seem to care about the lives of his people, after all he has said it's Biafra or death. A leader should care about the lives of his people. You may say 'there is nothing wrong with his protest as long as it remains peaceful.' How do violence break out? Is it not from quarreling/name calling that people move to exchanging blows? Please NK, the world is not coming to an end tommorrow. There is plenty of time to strategize and set other logistics (territory, allies, economic policies, political structures, etc) in place before provoking a violent agitation. For the sake of a few innocent ones, please slow down and listen to the voice of reason. The world is watching! |

obonujoker:Could you please suggest what could have been done |
"No person resident in Rivers State and sees what we are suffering from the APC Federal Government..." In my opinion, (APC Federal Government may not be doing well but) if those resident in Rivers state are suffering, it is not the Federal Government's fault unless they deny you your monthly allocation. FGN is not stopping you from taking good care of your people. Take charge and deliver good governance to your smaller domain and leave FGN to grapple with their larger domain with their numerous challenges. |
Sapiosexuality:I am saying that; - we should all join hands against corruption and corrupt government/non-government officials irrespective of our ethnic, religious or political affiliations. - Asari, in a sane country, would have either being in jail or executed, and therefore should quietly enjoy his new-found ill-gotten wealth and not to be talking as one who has authority. - that Dazani should be tried and if found guilty, made to pay for it. - $90 billion is nothing compared to what those our ogas see and steal in years in Nigeria. Finally, that we youths should begin to think right - without sentiments and prejudice if we are going to be any better than the people we criticise. |
jomonic:Agreed. But let's start from somewhere. Government continues. When these "prefects" are done with there 'catch our enemies' approach of fighting corruption, the next set of prefects should go after them (I mean that from my heart), with time the consciousness of fighting corruption in its real way will come instead of ignoring or abating corruption. |
Sapiosexuality:But Nigerian economy is/has been crashed already na. What does recession mean? In case you don't know, $90 billion is nothing go those in the oil sector. Note. I am not saying she stole that amount please. |
jomonic:One of who? Those who support corruption? No. Those who crucify someone for stealing #5,000 while I steal in millions? No. Since none is a saint, should we allow the armed robbers, kidnappers, drug peddlers, etc go free? Where is the place of morals in our society today? |
netflicks:My broooother! The thing tire me o. I remember Nigerians use to say our major problem was corruption and that once that was dealt with everything will be ok. Were we expecting that; - what has been "more like a tradition" will just go away in 4 years? - those who will fight the corruption will be 'saints' or imported from the moon? |
Sapiosexuality:Did you just say "If you steal 30Billion Dollars, Nigeria will crash?" Alright, the amount she stole is not up to that, but do you think all the amount looted by others including Dasuki is not up to that? If you think so, then you underestimated how rich Nigeria is but if you believe it's up to that, then why are Nigerians 'wondering'/crying about recession and blaming the present administration? Nigerian budget is just estimations, not real figures. Not even the Accountant General of the Federation can effectively determine how much inflow Nigeria generates. |
nobleblood:So what should we do to be wise? Support the one that has been exposed because we hate the one that exposed the crime? |
jomonic:So what is your point exactly? |
“The CSO to the President is an 'ordinary' policeman, who I assume, is just a little over and above my own CSO. I am a governor, a governor of a state. I felt that was an insult... Ordinary? It's ok o. |
Oya, Lare, grab your keypad! ![]() |
ofuonyebi:Ofuonyebi... |
mavinc4u:He is Prof. Yemi Osinbajo. Tha A.g President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Please who are you? |
wristbangle:Then Nigeria is not as bad after all. Those Nations have citizens...Nigeria can only change if we change. |
smartty68:When your favourites were in power, we were consistently among the top four. Then the statistics were 'good' or bad which ever way we look at it, the world saw us and related with us that way. Now, the same organization has told the world we are 'changing' but that is bad news. Try and be positive, it will help you alot... |
Nne5:Nne, is that you? |
Dear Dino. Greetings. Let me start by stating I do not subscribe to sponsored/politically motivated recall (i.e, if that's the case), you should know that it is the duty of INEC and not the court, to declare "that the petition forwarded to INEC was invalid and of no effect..that it was signed by fictitious, dead and none existing persons." Let them do there constitutional duty afterwhich, you can go to the court if you so wish. Hope you will pray thesame court to stop the conduct of election in your senetorial district come 2019. Accept my warmest regards! RoyalUc. |

modsfucker:Fayose's property? Who is Fayose!? Do you know who I am!? If you want to know, go to my village and ask of my father's compound and if they don't know my father, ask of my mother's father's and if they don't know, then ask of the guy who is tall, dark and handsome ![]() So I should keep off? That's not fair o... |
smartty68:I usually ignore this type of comment but I can't help but respond to this. Do you have a father? In all honesty, has your father not failed you (if not, you won't be here), your family, village, state and nation at large? What sort of bitterness and hatred will grip a soul to this level? The person you are talking about is somebody's father. His children are all doing well. He has gotten to the highest level in this nation twice. In my rating, he is already accomplished. My advise. - Be careful what you wish others 'cos it could come back to you. - Be careful what you post online 'cos it will be dug up against you in the future. No matter how well you plan your life, you don't know where you will be tomorrow. Awaiting the usual... |
vedaxcool:The guy seems to be diehard PDP supporter. Politics aside, whether they are comparing themselves against themselves, the result is commendable and should encouraged. Just like someone said up there, we pray and hope the revenue will be used judiciously. |
tuniski:Ok o...PDP's worst is better than APC's best! I am neither a member nor supporter of APC but i was not comfortable with the comparison. I've not see any road or any other public infrastructure built by PDP that APC destroyed. Not even a working policy was outrightly repealed, as a matter of fact, most of the policies and executions of this government are adopted/inherited and modified where necessary (education curriculum, agricultural blueprint, railway project, TSA, etc) from previous administration unlike what is happening in the US with OBAMACARE. For now, the major difference btw both parties is the level of impunity and unbridled looting which characterized the PDP |
Yyeske: ![]() Oboy...you don dey make that thing hungry me now. You are a great guy! |
tuniski:I agree that APC's handdling of things in recent times has been shrouded in secrecy and thus, qualifies as deception but "PDP's worst is better than APC's best?" Sincerely, that's not true. APC has being in power for two and compare their mess with that of a people that ruled for sixteen years? I don't think that'll be fair. APC's 'incompetence' is pronounced because of the high hopes we had and their unrealistic promises. Very importantly, the system was already headed for ...let me just hold my peace. APC = PDP - (Makarfi, et al +/- Sarraki, et al) |
