OK let me help you because the national pledge you are quoting now I bet you 70percent or higher can't qoute it without looking at the paper many have forgotten it the love for this country is degrading and you quoting the pledge is out of point.. You don't force a people to be in a system government that does not favour them and you tell them not to speak and when they do by protesting you use live ammunition on them shedding the citizens blood you swore to protect on the streets to silence them. A government that does not value life can't protect life.
Thank you. I must admit I too had to look at the paper at a point to be sure but that doesn't change the fact that it is the duty of every government and her citizens to defend the unity of the nation.
Can I ask you this? Do think USA (that talks about true democracy and protection of human right) will just wave good bye to, let's say the African-Americans if they decide they want to secede since they are being racially abused?

Alright. Since you don't want to put me in line, let me display my ignorance if that will help you enlighten me.
Nigeria is a sovereign state and it is the duty of any government to protect the dignity of the nation.
Our national pledge reads: I pledge to Nigeria my country. To be faithful, loyal and honest.
To serve Nigeria with all my strength.
To DEFEND her UNITY, and upold her honour and glory.
So, help me God.
To defend means to defend.

If you mean the 'zoo' that you, family or state own must fall, so be it. But one thing is certain, other Nigerians will not cease to exist or have peace because you want your own nation.
Just like you want the success of your nation (however imaginary) and destruction of other peoples' nation, so should others want.

Thank you sir.
Concerning the bolded, I'm sincerely ignorant of what you want me to do. Is it the spelling, choice/meaning of word(s) or grammatical construction?

A requeat please. Kindly teach me how to;
- bold a part of a write up like you did to mine (I'd tried severally using the bold - B key)
- make multiple quotes/mentions in one quote.

Thank you very much.

Why are we like this in this country? The man had resigned from the national team and his decision should be respected. Why coerce him to come back? Sincerely Vincent is a fantastic goalie but how did he get his chance and became this good? Must we keep looking backwards (just like we do in our political sphere)? If we can't groom and trust young stars to fight for their place in the national team, let's bring back Jay Jay, Kanu, Taribo, Peter Rufai (since we've never had a better team than the 1994 team) not forgeting Yakubu.
My concern is not whether Vincent did what was said or not, but that we should look forward and respect his decision.

What do you consider wrong? For instance, in our part of the world we perceive homosexuality to be wrong/bad and in other parts, they perceive it to be OK/right. Will you now say homosexuality is bad or good? It's neither bad nor good, for even act of kindness is perceived to be dangerous in certain situations. I won't blame you if you don't understand.
I think it would be same as saying killing someone for money ritual is good since the ritualist will make money and probably build houses, esterblish businesses and creat employment and so on. Homosexuality, just like some other vices are evil no matter how perverse the human race could be.
I agree that some concepts of morality may be relative especial when the subject matter is considered across borders, but to say it is my perception that makes an act right or wrong isn't right.

Yeah, quite pathetic and inhuman that u people are supporting the killing of innocent people for nothing sake....stop supporting evils
Please get your facts right. I, as a person do not support (as a matter of fact, condemn the) killing of innocent people. I'd never and would never support violence in any form. All I am saying is, let's all make for what promotes peaceful coexistence.
I've learned that, although LOVE is 'sweeter' than HATE, but it is easier to hate than love. Why? It takes greater responsibility to love. Love (which is softer) is for the strong while hate (which is stronger) is for the weak.

"How I wish I can get radicalized..." I think you can. It's not so much of a big deal. Two options;
- go join boko haram or better still
- go join ISIS.
I believe you should be thinking of better ways to make our world a better place.

Guns and bullets you talk about can never stop us rather it makes us much more stronger and gives evidences against the zoo and reasons why we must break up, thereby making people to support the struggle.
That's exactly what they tell you to radicalize you. No matter what you call "evidences against the zoo," nothing tangible will come out of it. The world is already in a mess - North Korea vs US, threats and counter threats from various nations. Do you think a sinking man can rescue another? We can avoid this looming needless bloodshed, because if it happens, we will still remain together and continue from where we stopped. Then the blood of innocent people, especially women and children, would have been for nothing.

RomanceRe: Ever Been In A Relationship Or Work Under A Perfectionist? Share Your Experience by RoyalUc(m): 12:06am On Aug 17, 2017
Most of us don't get it. Perfectionism or being a perfectionist isn't being fautless, as in, not having weaknesses just like every other human.
The term just describes a set of individuals who exhibit a peculiar triat. While many of us had rightly pointed out most of the attributes of a perfectionist, I think it's important to say that what makes a perfectionist a perfectionist is not necessarily picking on other people's faults but his/her own faults. They find it really hard to 'forgive' themselves. Yes, the perfectionist sees more of his/her weaknesses than his/her strenghths. He/she is constantly afraid of doing the 'wrong' thing.
However, it is a very challenging lifestyle. It is very demanding and energy consuming and could make life 'taseless' sometimes.

It is quite unfortunate that a medium such as Nairaland which is a formidable tool to foster national unity is instead dedicated to fostering enmity between Nigerians. At this critical juncture in our nation's history, we need forces that unite and not those that divide us.

Anyone who is a regular visitor to Nairaland pages can attest tot he quality of the IVY (Igbo Vs Yoruba) education, that impressionable minds can acquire on its pages.
Everyone of us has a family member or relative who is married from someone of a different ethnic group.
Why is Nairaland dedicated to fostering and promoting tribalism
No doubt, it (promoting tribalism) is a business model as analytics demonstrates that it generates the most traffic/pay to Nairaland owners/operators. In that respect, is Nairaland any better than Nigerian politicians who use us against each other for their own profit?

But cearly, you are beginning to restrategize and realign your activities in preparation for your 2019 ambition. Not bad. As a matter of fact, that's actually smart of you knowing those you've shown you hate won't queue up for you no matter who your running mate is.
You have the support of a good number of your people, a good proportion of the SS by virtue of your party and controvercies and almost the entire southeast by your support for NK. Now you must do whatever you can to gather the little you can from the North.

I completely agree with you.
Leaders at all levels (including you) should also learn to stop inciting and misleading the people for personal political interest, providing good governance and promoting moral values.

With this, it's obvious Nnamdi Kanu needs help.
Different people and groups, including a Muslim group condemned the act and condole with the bereaved but NK - the supreme leader of Biafra could only accuse his follow Igbo men (to implicate them and raise sentiments) and tell the dead and bereaved 'ntoooor' for not believing him and probably contemplating participating in the coming election.
Not even a show of sympathy for the bereaved.
This is really unfortunate!

THE TRUTH IS NO ONE CAN PROTECT YOU, the police only come after the crime is committed, that's why republicans in america advocate for guns because at the end of the day if terror comes its down to you defending yourself, if people were armed in that area I don't believe those guys would have left without a fight.
It is true no one can protect anyone but advocating that everyone carries guns, that will be too much to deal with. Can you imagine what our society will turn into if we all carry guns?
I even desire that guns and all forms of weapons should be completely abolished - not even security operatives should carry guns.
