Alcatraz005: I see all that the administration is doing since the President's return and I laugh hard at the futility of it all. You do not force love, unity and cohesion on a divided nation by the force of arms! There are genuine and serious grievances and shutting down the expression of the hate won't solve anything. We would only be postponing the evil day! What stops us from addressing and critically resolving our differences? The 2015 elections left in its wake, a deeply divided nation and nothing has been done to heal the wounds angry and unite the Country. The President/North should not think the critical mass developed by the South on the issue of true Federalism would be shut down just like that.
That being said, I can't help but notice the treachery of all these igbo Governors especially Nyesom Wike who ported so fast to the other side at the slightest opportunity. What a shame. I am sure Gov. Ayo Fayose would learn his lesson not to trust these eastern people as they don't have what it takes to be in opposition. Ayo Fayose, no matter what you sissies say is a strong one man Mopol and he has earned my respect.
All Yoruba sons and daughters should learn from this treachery. Nothing will happen to Ayo Fayose in 2018 by God's grace. "What stops us from addressing and critically resolving our differences?" How do you propose we do that? "I can't help but notice the treachery of all these igbo Governors especially Nyesom Wike who ported so fast to the other side at the slightest opportunity." Are you saying it's treachery for other PDP Governors to exercise decorum in their acts while in the opposition and striving to deliver 'good' governance to their people? What exactly has Wike done wrong (to the PDP for now) by relating with others? Fayose's case is a clear case of hate and we should learn from this because we eventually loose out when we are filled with hate. No body is saying he must love Buhari though but... |

Alcatraz005: God bless you! What is this country turning to? Must we all be on the side of the President? Do we really desire a truly Federal system of Government? I solidly stand with Fayose in his decision not to attend the meeting as the President is not God! No, the President is not God! Every other Governor attended a meeting with the President except one. Not that it was compulsory for any of them to attend but what impression does that make? What if they had an important discussion and far reaching decision(s) reached? Credible opposition and true Federal system of Government ain't achieved by hate. |

tigeress2011: Anyone who considers GEJ like Buhari is an idiot and a fool. You are not listening, you are still viewing this from a tribalistic prism....you hate my own, so I hate yours too. We didn't hate Obasanjo, we didn't hate Yaradua , and many more before him because they governed without tribal and religious bigotry. But Buhari has governed as a tribalist, religious fanatic and crass abuser of power. Most importantly he has destroyed this country...everything upside, the country is divided than ever before. I get you. So will I be right to say you hate Buhari? |

Mynd44: Nigerians need to ubderstand that there is a difference between "my president is stupid" and "if the Igbos dont vote for my candidate, they will drown in the Lagoon"
There is a difference between "Buratai is an idiot and I hate his face" and "If any Yoruba man comes to your community asking about Radio Biafra, kill him"
There is a difference between "Kemi Adeosun is a massive failure, she even looks like a baboon" and "we give the Igbos 90 days to leave the north"
In each of the three instances, one is a commet by someone who is displeased with someone and is lashing out with insults and the the other is just hate. If we cannot see that then we can as well keep being idiots However way you look at it, if I love you and tolerate you and you do same, non of us will make any of those lines of speeches. How you said yours might be different from how I said mine but the effect might be thesame. Every form of speech that denigrate and incite any group is not good for our corporate existence and should be avoided. |

"I am the most abused and insulted President in the world but when I leave office, you will all remember me for the total ‘freedom’ you enjoyed under me.”
I must commend your disposition to peace and unreservedly, I applaud your efforts here. However, 'total freedom' is and can never be good for any people, especially a people like Nigerians - at least for now. No decent society allows that. Just consider what Ngweeh Anthony Klassik, said, “You are blessed GEJ...During your time, we had every right to post and comment with all manner of recklessness." Is it right to post and comment about your President and Nation (or anyone else) with all manner of recklessness? "Today, we are being monitored on the social media with a death sentence hanging on us.” Almost all developed and organized countries do that.
My argument is; - it was not right to have allowed the so called 'total freedom.' If previous administrations had done something to address that, we won't be grappling with the present tense insecurity threats in Nigeria today. - the fact that we tolerated it then does not mean we should fold our arms and do nothing about it now. Afterall, the owners of social media platforms benefit from our activities there while we - our nation suffer at the end.
We must all put National interest ahead of personal, ethnic or religous considerations if we must have a better society.

RevDesm0ndJuju: You were advocating for Aisha and I rightly told you to stop taking this your fake king makers title seriously.
It is not in Buhari's hands talk less of Tinubu or his manservant rather it is in the hands of the Kaduna mafia.
If Osinbanjo rejects their candidate they will continue the impasse and relegate him to acting status till 2019.
This scenario even benefits the northern cabal than seeing Osinbanjo become President.
El Rufai will contest 2019 under the APC and your Tinubu will support him and ask you dumb ret@rds to vote him which you will foolishly and blindly comply with.
El Rufai will win because they will rig nonesense come 2019, so for Tinubu to still have hope and a leg into Aso Rock, he will sell you fools again to the north!
That is the plan but God knows both the SS and SE will not be part of your useless Islamic State in 2019!
Enjoy your permanent enslavement to Sokoto.
Aisha ko, Aisha nii! "If Osinbanjo rejects their candidate they will continue the impasse and relegate him to acting status till 2019" Even if Buhari dies (God forbid) before then according to you? |

In4matic: This is a great idea. I've been nursing the idea for some week now and to me its a win-win situation on all fronts.
The current president will still be in the corridors of power albeit through his wife.
He'll be able to treat himself in peace.
His wife will recieve millions of supporters among womenfolk from north and even the south ( i trust our womenfolk)
It'll frustrate all the power hungry politicians circling around abuja like vultures I agree with you and the op. It will be a win-win situation on all fronts. If Nigerians are worried that the Buharis must not be the only ones to rule, this administration has just about two years left. They could be voted out if things don't get better. I think this is necessary to calm the already overheated polity in Nigeria today. |

While Kanu is busy organizing ralies to sensitize the people on Biafra, Asari is busy saying the new state "will be known as United States of Biafra" and involved in drafting the Biafran constitution. Imagine Asari involved in drafting the Biafran constitution.

There were young, vibrant, bold, 'well-performed' Governors who came into power and changed the landscape of their state. These include, but not limited to; Donald Duke (CRS), Godswill Akpabio (AKS), Peter Obi (ANS), Babatunde Fashola (LAG), Rotimi Amaechi (RVS),(Even James Ibori (DTS). Though convicted for money laundering). Fayose does not and cannot come near any of these ones in terms of performance and decorum. You have every right to support and promote your candidate but how well has Fayose developed Ekiti state to want to replicate same or do more at the national level? Mark my words, if he possibly becomes President, he will never know peace and what is happening in Nigeria now and to Buhari will be but child's play. |

Let the youth take a cue from him on fearlessness attitude, a character clearly missing in our youths. Did you hear what happened in EKHA? I don't know how true that is but if it is, then if he "can come out and speak boldly against the government because to him, he feels they are not doing the right thing," then some other person should be allowd to do same. Mozegee: Being in this country with so called notherners is a great mistake. My happiness is that all of us are suffering voting buhari in,it was a great mistake.A country will only stand when opposition is at work, fayose to me is a great man.Nigerians like suffering and smilling, that is what we are gud at.How can we hv a president who do things the way he like, threatening pple as if we are his slaves. The only problem i v with our so called president is he doesnt think before doing things, his advisers are misleading him.Weda fayose is invited or not will it put food on my table.Nigeria is a joke "Being in this country with so called notherners is a great mistake." I think that is why they made the 'Kaduna declaration.' They said they are also tired of being with you, that you should leave them to themselve and went on to petition the FG, UN, AU to help facilitate the actualization of your dream. "A country will only stand when opposition is at work" Does opposition means telling lies, insulting your President (When you even want to be President) and inciting a group of people against the other? What about criticizing constructively with facts and right information? In case you don't know, as far as national politics is concerned, Fayose can never go far if he does not change his appraoch now. Eberex: ONE THING I HAVE COME TO REALIZE. MANY NIGERIANS DON'T LIKE TO READ AND REASON. THEY DON'T LIKE TO THINK WITH THEIR OWN SENSES. THEY PREFER SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT FOR THEM. COME OUT AND SPEAK, THEY WILL NOT! SPEAK THE TRUTH, THEY WON'T.
IF THEY HATE SOMEONE, IT IS ABSOLUTE, NO MATTER IF WHAT THE PERSON IS SAYING IS RIGHT.
FAYOSE OPINIONS HAVE BOTH THE LOGICAL SIDE AND THE RUBBISH PART, SAME WITH EVERY OTHER PERSON. AND WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO FOLLOW THIS SCHOOL OF THOUGHT.
70% OF COMMENTS I READ WHENEVER FAYOSE SPEAKS ARE ALL AGAINST HIM. PEOPLE WHO FALL INTO THIS GROUP ARE VERY BIAS. LEARN TO THINK ON BOTH ANGLES AND NOT POSTING COMMENTS BEFORE THINKING. Don't you think you and the 30% who speak for Fayose might as well be considered 'very bias' by the 70% that speak against him? You said; "FAYOSE OPINIONS HAVE BOTH THE LOGICAL SIDE AND THE RUBBISH PART," do you expect everyone to take the 'rubbish part?' Sen. Ifeanyi Okoawa, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, Prof. Ben Ayade, Dr. David Umahi, Mr.Okezie Ikpeazu, etc are in the opposition, how many of them humiliate themselves like Fayose. I am not saying everybody must be thesame, but there should be a limit to how we play politics of hate. (Note that Fayose hated Buhari even before the elections and has being saying all sorts of things against him yet Buhari has never for one day responded to him). From your heart, do you think Fayose should be considered a mentor to the younger generation? |

Saintp: The elites and political class in Nigeria from all regions and tribes have the same agenda and mindset. This is because they are the chief beneficiaries of the present Nigeria. They do not know what their fate will be in a divided Nigeria.
Therefore you won't expect the senators or governors even from the east to support a change of status quo that has favored them so much. The drive to effect changes in this country will have to come from non political quarters not politicians. So it is our duty to discard these political statements and pursue a new restructured Nigeria if we remain together. Whether divided or United Nigeria, what is important is to make progress and if at @57 we still haven't made any substantial progress, then something has to change fundamentally. Great talk! |

bamite: Funny thing about these pigs & idiots of biafra (ipob) is that kanu doesn't even sound smart at all. There's no intelligence in his speeches, just vane and full of insults. How he manages to pull so much crowd from a tribe that boasts of intelligent people still bewilders me. Why do you think people are worried/scared about/of the so called 'Kaduna declaration' and the follow up anti-Igbo song in the North when the people that made the declaration can't stand up against 5,000 non-northerners? Hate is such a strong binding force for the weak and violent-prone. Once you make a group perceive the other group as an enemy, be sure to have followers. This in one of the reasons people like FFK, though intelligent, has a good number of supporters even when he does not have the moral ground to condemn anyone. All those who had led people into war or any form of violence (supprisingly had massive followership) have one thing in common; HATE. Unfortunately, our politician had succeeded in turning Nigeria into a brooding ground for hate. |
