Braket: Long story short, we landed when my connecting flight to Nigeria was departing.
I was so furious that I was almost rude to the attendant at the British airways stand that she even mentioned the fact that I should calm down.
I was offered two options, either to leave with the next available flight at 22:00 and chill in their premium lounge free of charge or I get booked into an hotel and continue the journey the next day with the schedule of the flight I missed.
As a naija guy nah, you must have guessed the one I picked.
Na so I get free UK 24 leave to enter stamp and three Star hotel accommodation with food voucher and bus ticket oh. I maxed that less than 24 hours no be small We don miss you oo |

Fabcol: For courses that would start next year April, applications will start from August till Jan/Feb.. So start now by going thru daad, check each shortlisted school website for application requirements and procedures and ready your documents
You need ielts for applications.. So write it before applying.. For the transcript, you need certified copies for applications, so get your original transcript from your school, make photocopies according to the amount of schools you are applying to at the embassy or Court or a notary public.
Finally, you still gat time. read up this thread from part 5.. You need it Thanks very much. |

Oblang: Search through daad to see admission openings and deadlines for different schools. While some schools may require u to apply through uniassist, some do theirs directly through their website. And as for ielts, check the school u are applying to if they require it. Many schools dont even require u to present ielts score. A letter of proficiency from ur former school may be all u need.. Ok thanks for the info... That means if i apply to 5 different schools, that means my school will have to send My transcript to each schools, making it 5 transcript in total? |

Good morning all members of this thread, I've gone through page 1 and also searched for schools on daad.de, but I'm still confused on what to do next, i intend applying for the course that will start next year April; 1. do i start applying for admission now.
2. How do i apply to the university, because I've been seeing something like uniassist and I'm confused.
3. Should i have my ielts before i apply for admission in the university or after I'm given admission and My university transcript how do i go about it, do i have to apply as many times as I'm applying for admission in different schools.
Please somebody help me.. |

glopatra: Accounting won't match up with the required prerequisite though nothing is impossible. What have you done with programming, I mean the skills you have, do you have any project you have done with links that you can paste on your Cv. And from another angle, why not go for another Bsc in software development, if you can pay the price, it's worth it. I can go for another bsc, but i will have to learn how to speak german b4 I'll be admitted i think, though I'm still reading how the student visa works, but i think it will be more difficult using waec than going for masters |

ayandee: I'm in the same situation. I maxed out my ielts score( LWSR 8.5,7.5,8,9) and having noticed that crs draws have been on 450 for some time, I started learning french from scratch since 1st April. I got a private tutor (not cheap, but I am determined). We hold 3 classes per week (Monday 1hr, Tuesday 2hrs, Thursday 2hrs). Most times, he exceeds the hours. I do a lot of learning on my own too. I watch easy French, rfi, tv5monde, watch French in action videos, all on youtube. I also downloaded some TEF materials from this thread. I had to read this thread from the beginning and I've been following quietly for some time.
Now, I can read to an extent. Listening is still an issue, a big one. I think French people talk too fast. But I still practise listening daily even though I can only pick a few words. My teacher encourages me to listen all the same. I listen while driving, cooking and whenever I have some spare time. I've started practising speaking too. We hold 20minutes french conversation (he talks, i just listen) at the beginning of each class. He talks about world politics, the society etc. After conversation, we do grammar. Last week, he introduced role play after grammar lesson (e.g buying stuffs from shops, asking and giving directions, just simple everyday stuff).
I also joined Duolingo, a French meet up club in Lagos. We watched a movie last month (Les tontons flinguers). Another meeting is coming up this weekend and they would be discussing "les couleurs" and " Les vetements".
I am still learning and simply enjoying myself while at it. I still have a lot to learn. For books, I got Bescherrelle for French verbs, French dictionary and few novels. I downloaded Schaum's outline on French grammar. Be ready to use a lot of internet data. For now, I do not "economise" on data.
My teacher says 8months is doable depending on how well I immerse myself. I'll join Alliance Francais TEF class before taking the exam. No date in mind yet as it's such a humbling journey. What's up, Download this app Google translate, then download offline cache for french on the app.. |

Ugomaxx: Bro, here's the download link to ielts cambridge materials https://englisharoundtheworlds..com/2018/09/cambridge-ielts-books.html?m=1 I suggest you go for 5-13 General training. Try doing a post test analysis every 2 listening & reading tests. It has both transcripts & audio, make use of it all. Also try to chill a bit, sometimes fixating on setbacks in a module has a way of magnifying them. Case in point, less than a week to the test, I retrogressed & started having 7 repeatedly, sometimes less. Needless to say that I panicked, but I started doing in depth analysis of my shortcomings. The fixes I needed slowly started coming to me. In short, there are patterns to the particular kind of questions in both Listening & reading modules that is derailing you, figure it out. All the best bro. NB. I told a powerful being upstairs not to allow Listening fall my hand, you could try that too- together with the others of course. Thanks very much. |
