I believe the first is to save for a land and work to build the house....it is relative sha...not for those who are in metropolis.

You are right, saving for a land & working towards one's building project should top it, but like u rightly said, for those in metropolis, it will take some time to achieve this due to high cost of landed properties, so getting a car will be best for such person. I have a friend who hardly drive his car when he was single, but ever since he got married & his wife put to bed, his car hardly rest now. Dude is always driving. If a man have the means, getting a car before marriage is extremely important.

My own elder brother(same dad and mom), a weakling has been away since claiming to be busy and can't come home, he has even abandon the property belonging to my mum thus leaving my unmarried sisters to nothing. I visited home last week to see that my house was locked by my step brother and the apartment which my younger brother occupied was rented out by this step brother too.

I don't know what to do, so when we had a family meeting recently, i told the elders that we were locked out of our house and my siblings are scared of being attacked spiritually citting the death of my mother. Yet, the elders insist that all the properties belong to the eldest son. I don't even know what to do. I was the closest child to my dad when he was alive, i was so close that I had access to even his land and other documents but i never thought a day like this would come, if not, I would have advised him to make a will.

Is it the right of the eldest son to inherit all the properties ?

Why would u refer to your brother as a weakling?? What do u want him to do? Is he the first son? In the absence of a will, the first son inherit every properties. Though he is now supposed to share it fairly among the rest siblings. Your dad should have written a will! It was a very big mistake on his part.

Often times I hear people say old age this, old age that etc I laugh. It is good to have a family, but having one doesn't guarantee a perfect end for anyone, it is all about trying our luck. Our neighbour back then was brought down by stroke, the illness got to a point his biological children were wishing for him to die.
This is not hearsay, they were my neighbor. The man was such a good & kind man. U know who was taking care of him, a distant relative they brought in to live with them, his own kids got tired of his sickness & abandoned him. When he died everyone was suspecting his children, because they were already complaining he was stressing them. My point is, let us not pray for an awful end, because family can also fail when it gets serious.
