Muyi002: Good Morning correct People, Please a friend of mine wants to commence his building and he wants to do foundation blinding. He was given quotation for gravel but I told him granite is better is better. His issue is that gravel He cheaper compared to granite.
I am trying to convince him to use granite but he wants to know the implications of not using granite.
Kindly assist with the comparison for both so that I can advice him. Granite will produce a concrete with better strength. But do people still build with gravel? Haven't seen it for a long time now |

Waterway: Anyone on this forum have information on Victory Estate, Lekki FTZ. The developer is Kayode Obembe. Is this developer credible. I bought plots from this company in 2016 and yet until date, no allocations of plots. Now in 2019 , the company wants developmental fee ( more money ) which was not disclosed upfront. The company says allocation to be made after developmental fees paid. Is this company credible..??. Allocation is supposed to be before development fee. What are they developing if people are yet to get their land let alone start building? Look for other persons that bought land from the same estate. |

ndubuis: And you think riders cannot plant stuffs in your car? Let's assume that was a proper police check: You get down to open the trunk while leaving a rider in the car, rider is having a weapon or a banned substance, gets nervous knowing that the police may search him as well when they are done with the booth, drops the substance in the car, maybe on the driver's side. Police comes to search the car and finds what rider dropped. Rider denies knowing about it. Tell me who will be held? This scenario would have played out in real life. You should never let your guard down. Everyone is a suspect, police, rider, etc. Na naija we still dey oo. This is not a good attitude So anytime u want to step out of your car a rider must come down? What if u want to change something in your bonnet, a flat tyre, someone bash your car etc a rider will also need to step out? It is offensive to insinuate someone is a thief when they have not stolen from u. When a driver do this to you and your wife some day, only then u will know how offensive it sounds. If I am a rider there is no way I am going to continue a trip with a driver asking me to come down at every point he does because he suspects I am a thief. Money is the most valuable thing u can have in ur car, put it in your wallet or pocket. |

peeps4u: For your own safety xef, you should be the one to open the booth for security officers and observe while they check, besides, I think it is your duty to open you booth. So I think the riders were right to flair up
I could be wrong though. U are right sir It is not safe to allow any security personnel to open your boot, they can easily drop sth inside to implicate u |

clarocuzioo: It's unfortunate this woman got herself entangled with this mess, considering how Nigerians stood and spoke out for her when the Dauras where playing chess with her.
Now she has really shown that she is no different from her husband.
Somebody should also remind her that in China, there is nothing like office of the first lady.
Those that rode on the good will of social media now want to burn the bridge after crossing over to the other side.
Who have issued hate speech in this country more than Buhari, with his "dogs and baboon will soak in blood", statement. The bold is so true |

ikmontana: pls anyone, wat are d risks involved if one uses GRAVEL for d FOUNDATION of a building I.e 2 flats of 3 bedrooms per unit, BUNGALOW
cos some people are telling me to use GRANITE. No risk per se, before now alot of people build with gravel, but granite is better & with a higher strength too. If u are unable to afford granite, use stone base, gravel is now kinda outdated |

DigitalPastor: Ocar is the next big thing in town. I signed up and in my first day of working with the App, I completed 12trips worth 11k. The battle line between Uber/Bolt/ Ocar has been drawn. I'm not a forerunner of any of the Apps but as a businessman, I'll always go with maximum profit with security and Opay seems to be providing that because you'll be able to see rider's destination. Each rider is verified because their bank details are linked to the Opay App. Never knew Ocar is now have much riders in Abuja. I thought it is only in lagos |

If you don't want to talk, you won't hear pim from my mouth. I'm exactly what you are to me. Some will say I didn't act professional but no one has the monopoly to be rude. During my early days in the service, I once beat up a minister's cousin cos he was very rude. This minister can just ask for my appointment letter and tear it into pieces right in my presence cos he is the oga at the top and nothing will happen but I don't care. As far as I'm able to reset that guy's brain then I'm satisfied. Though I won't react the same way I did then cos as I have dependents now but I will still deal with the guy and make sure there's no evidence this time. You acted professional She insulted u first and u have every right to do same, 15mins is a lot of time. But why women all the time? This ehailing has really exposed women all over the world. Go on YouTube and watch worst rides on uber they are all women, rude and mannerless & funny enough, they never pay, a guy is always waiting to pay for them & yet they find it easy disrespecting people. |

Hajivince: When we did our site reconnaissance, we observed that the water table is high, the surrounding projects used shallow foundation such as Raft, No excessive deflections noticed in surrounding buildings & the site has been left untouched for 10years so consolidation condition must have been satisfied. Hence, since it is jus one suspended floor, we decided to opt for the shallow (Raft) foundation.
Due to the unevenness of the plot & the level of the plot to the preceeding road level, we decided to dig 300mm from the front of the plot which got to 600mm at the back after taking the level & after scrapping the top soil.... Thanks for following, I hope this answers your question Great! Keep us updated We re following |
