you are entitled to your opinion and life but early education makes kids only smart academically but immature/unintelligent emotionally because you didn't allow them to pass through the age of learning they were supposed to pass through and learn what they ought to learn

What is the essence of sending a 15 year old to school,he comes out 19 or 20,starts working and cannot behave himself properly like an adult should and be making stupid, life threatening mistakes at work because of immaturity
So u can argue like this? wink
What happened to ur other moniker?

this has nothing to do with exposure.lets be objective here,15 is actually too young to be in the university.if a person enters university at 18 and finishes 22,that's fair enough.there is a stage and learning process for everything.you don't jump the process.how can you push a 15 year old into what will take him time for him to adjust into.do you realize those 15 year old kids forced into university were vulnerable to being Bullied and victims of forced cultism?

Didn't you hear of a lecturers son who enterd university at 15 and was forced to join cult.a very intelligent boy for that matter and along the line he was killed in a cult clash.it was an old story then.now how will a 15 year old handle such matter? Meanwhile an 18 year old is mature enough to wiggle his way out of such nonsense.
Lol
U make me laugh
So all d students that have been initiated into cultism in our higher institutions are below 18yrs?
Age is not even a factor here, your mindest and focus determines your purpose. Some persons join cult in final year, so age is out of it. The advantages of early education outweighs d disadvantages, it is not even debatable

Mr mannn let us tell ourselves the truth and stop being sentimental about everything for once.

Oyinbos have their own civilization, let us too have our own indigenous civilization IN OUR OWN WAY AND AT OUR OWN PACE,IN WAYS THAT FIT INTO OUR OWN SYSTEMS AND STRUCTURE. Moreso if we want to copy oyinbo civilization let us copy the good side and leave the nonsense out of it but our people, instead of copying the good sides,it's the junks we will be copying.

If you notice oyinbo, they copy our good sides e.g coming here to learn out culture, food and music and they take it to their side to suit their environment.they don't take our negative side that's my point
Our own system and structure is why we are in this mess! Nigeria was working not until independence we took over from oyinbo in 1960 everything crumbled within few months, so we basically have no good structure and system. There are no much bad side to Civilization, we blacks are the ones applying bad side to civilization, it has nothing to do with whites. Whites were never responsible for the corruption we experienced in d first republic, it was as a result of our greed as a people.

lmaooooo so because a 15 year old child is already in the university automatically makes him "intelligent"? grin

Do you realize that we had exceptionally smart kids in our generation too who finished secondary school at 14/15 but the parents Will not ALLOW THEM TO GI TO UNIVERSITY TILL THEY'RE 18.instead they will register them to go and learn hand skill till they're ripe (mature) enough to enter university. But you see this is part of what we're talking about. you just want to rush the process.a child is not mature enough for the rigours of college but you push him there as if you Dont know that there is also emotional intelligence.do you think if a person is just academically intelligent, that's all.what if he knows book but cannot cope with the challenges of gangerism/cultism in our university those days nko? Or are you pretending to be ignorant of the fact that our parents kept the ones who weren't old enough at home just to help them mature so they can independently cope with school pressures.even the universities weren't admitting kids who were less that 18.18 was the required minimum to enter university but it was later into the late 90s desperate parents were doing fake birth certificates just because they wanted their kids to be in school at 15
The bold was very few until late 90s
Reason we are backward, isn't it a good thing if a kid should have msc at d age of 22?
In USA, at d age of 20 - 22 they are planning family already. Our way of reasoning was backward due to our level of exposure, not because it was the right thing to do. Why would u wish such life style for ur kids?

it's not an insult but I'll reply

Agreed there was a lot of political corruption and political turbulence at that time but there was still sanity.note that I said the older generation weren't saints too albeit every generation OLD AND YOUNG have their advantages and disadvantages.but if I will choose again, I'll choose the late 80s and early 90s to now
Choosing the late 80s is like going backwards
If we are going to be like the whites, we must pass through this stage. What u see as sanity back then was due to lack of freedom, ever since independence Nigeria has been like this, no stable light, no good roads, corruption, i can tell u it is getting better now because of civilization. Having only one station showing from 4pm to 12pm with whack programs to me were sufferings. The option we have these days from internet, phones, tv, vehicles far outweighs what was obtainable in the late 80s. I know the attitude of the younger generation may come off as offensive to older ones, but it is part of d flaws of civilization. We see it happens in the west, parents can't touch their kids, husband can't mistreat their wives, etc and if we must grow as a nation, we must embrace civilization.

well you're right but remember we had our own educative shows on nta where they do general knowledge questions and answers.ive forgotten the name of that show.it was a competition for secondary school kids then and we used to sit with our parents and learn, they also do spelling bees competition.thats where we got our own information from plus radio not google etc

Then those days too we read.now indomie children are soooo mentally lazy they can't even read at least to just pass exam.all they want to do is party,do drugs, get high and fok
Where are u getting all these from?
Don't we still have brilliant students?
Has there been shortage in any field due to lack of intelligent students?
These days kids are more smart, a 15 yrs old already in university unlike before.
There are still tons of educative TV programs till date, even more than we used to have. Stop seeing suffering as a good way of life. Back then we watched only NTA, which will open from 4pm till 12pm, we only had a black and white TV, everyone in d neighborhood will come to watch, there were no variety of programs, even the so called NTA, was not even clear, we will always be adjusting antenna for better signal, is that the kind of life u wish for u kids? Now we series of channels showing 24 hours with affordable cables and smart TV, isn't that better? Mind u back then we were only suffering because of our level of exposure as a people

Ikebe super, lolly, roses and hints were our own Instagram or instablog and Facebook back in the days grin

That was what we used in keeping up with the trends those days.its was about 120 naira those days.every Saturday/Sunday afternoon at news stands cheesy

All these ones they do on Instagram eg sugar mummy hook ups etc we had it on ikebe super, latest clothes, shoes and all we had it in the magazines.

Hints was like celebrity section of nairaland but they were more discreet eg there's a light skinned Yoruba actress who was said to bla bla bla.we already know who they were talking about grin

After reading it,it was our topic of jist on campus then grin cheesy
Your view of the younger generation(indomie generation) is not entirely accurate. I agree morals were still high until the late 90s, but it never made Nigeria a good place to live. Corruption was still high, coup was experienced all the time, there was no rule of law, but since late 90's we are yet to experience any coup, it is part of civilization. What u see as the shortcomings of younger generation, are the disadvantages of civilization, issues like kids being lazy, disrespectful, feminism, gay etc are part of civilization, because civilization comes with freedom. You will agree with me back then women weren't this vocal like they are today. Do not blame it on the kids, it is as a result of civilization

It's not too much of their fault though. The older non-indomie generation slowly created a new world where the corrupt individuals and thieves have been celebrated and where values, law and justice failed etc. The Indomie generation don't have any reference to good standards that used to be taught everywhere before.

Couple the above with the information age, you arrive at a generation who think they know just because they have access to the "social media"
It is all part of civilization
Civilization also have its advantages and disadvantages

1990's is indomie generation in a way. That said, Super story first aired in year 2000 or thereabouts. Even if it was 90's, it's still weird to put Super Story in the same box as the others he listed.
When was everyday people first aired?
There is nothing weird about putting super story in d list. What is confusing u is because super story is still much alive till now on wap TV, so the young ones have also come to know about it, that does not make it a new tv series. I believe when super story was invoke u were still young, if not u wouldn't be here arguing about indomie generation. Arguing about indomie generation clearly indicate u are below 38yrs

Bro to break this habit of yours, you need to leave your comfort zone and that zone is your room.

Exactly, as a kid and a teenager, I never conversed with anyone not to talk of greeting anyone (mainly because I stutter) the only people I can categorically tell you I talk to was my mom and immediate elder bro, others assumes I was a dunce and over pampered brat.. Yet, they never knew what I was battling within..

But as age comes, mom no more, the rest of the family members are all hustling, I don't have any alternative than to choose friends who can understand me.. Atm, I have 3 friends who I converse without feeling detached, in their mist, I am an extrovert but they all know I am a core introvert because once someone interrupt, I go back at minding my business..
If u are a christian, join a society in your church, it works.

1) Get a lawyer for you to sign papers with her father so as to become her legal guardian;
2) Get the governmental authority involved (possibly the women affairs ministry, they are usually interested in negligible cases of children) so that if it ever goes to any court matter the authorities would already be aware of this situation; and
3) Get the contact of the girls biological mother so that she is aware of what is happening and what you intend to do on a legal basis as she may not be aware that her child is being neglected by her biological father.

Once you have gotten the above steps then you should be good to go and help this child as much as you can. Help her to achieve her desire to go to school if you are able to do so.

Thank you very much once again for your kind-heartedness.
