It’s now increasingly common that staff spend several minutes in “hot tears” on returning home from work just because of their experiences at work

In case you didn’t know, you can accidentally/consciously be a contributor to negative experiences at work

Below are five common contributing actions:

� Yelling/Shouting at your colleagues/subordinate.

� Gossiping: Gossiping about others is interesting until you are the subject of gossip.

� Talking down on your colleagues/subordinates’ achievements.

� Hoarding relevant information just so you appear as the “star” of the team while others are struggling.

� Not respecting your subordinates’ personal time off work. E.g: Weekends or Leave days.

And just before we point accusing fingers, let’s look in the mirror �

Honest Associations

I recently watched a video, and it dawned on me the importance of surrounding yourself with people that would tell you the truth. In the video, a lady was playing a game blindfolded and everyone was cheering her up and telling her she was doing well, despite the fact that she wasn't achieving anything.

I learnt a lesson from that video.
There are friends who constantly cheer you up and hail you. While this is important to keep one's self full of positivity and motivation. it is also important to have friends who can be honest with you and criticize you when you are not doing well.

I know some friends, even after making a poor presentation, They'll say, Bro, that was a wonderful presentation. In fact, it was an excellent delivery from start to finish. Meanwhile, they know it was not a good one. Some will even say, Boss, I want to learn from you. Some of you are reading this post, and you know yourself. . It seems "whining" is the new deal.

Summarily balance is the key, surround yourself with people who motivate and cheer you up and also have people around you who are honest enough to tell you the truth when you have not performed up to requirements.

Some people say the truth is sweet. Otitodun . Is the truth really sweet? That's a story for another day.

Reconciliations:
