My girl has been working for 11 months now and she is pretty happy because....

1. I pay her every 30th, I never delay.

2. She cooks and eats at will. If there is extra, she can take home, no questions asked. I make sure to keep midday snacks when necessary.

3. She shops and I live small change for her.

4. She is a size smaller so she gets a lot of hand-down clothes from me.

5. Extras are hygiene products, data subscription, recharge cards, gifts from office etc

6. Hospital registration.


I like very much too because...
1. She has respect and know her limits

2. She is very hardworking.

3. She does not skip work, she does not fake ill.

4. She is a fast learner too especially with new dishes.

Power is gradually moving back from employers to employees. You need to see the number of LinkedIn In-mails I receive these days. Na employers dey rush job seekers now oo. Sadly, if it's not a fully remote offer, na to let am slide.

Then to employers with poor pay, you can't blame the vast majority. Businesses are barely surviving due to harsh operating environment. You can't use all your profits to pay salaries.

For me, the fake recruiters are the ones that reach out to you on LinkedIn and after you respond, you don't hear ANYTHING from them again.
No feedback at all, just dead silence.
Sad to say, 99% of recruiters are like that.

Social media is running today's society

Do you have a Facebook or Instagram account? One of the very first questions in a conversation when meet each other. No matter where the conversation starts, most people are almost always drawn to the search for a username. No doubt social networking sites are fun and the best way to pass the time and stay connected, but teens can often form attachment or addiction to them.

ADDICTION: People are becoming so addicted to social media that they are spending most of their time on it instead of doing any productive or significant work. Lots of people now prefer online conversations rather than meeting in person, which is weakening their relationships.

CONSTANT COMPARISON: People use their social profiles to project their lives as “perfect”, and people increasingly compare their lives with other and think of themselves as low. It decreases their happiness levels and leads to self-esteem issues.

CREDIBILITY: There are no reliable measures to check the credibility of the news and videos present on social media. People easily believe and don’t even think twice to check whether the news or piece of information is credible or not. Hence, thoughts of the innocent people get easily shaped and influenced by distorted information.

DEPRESSION: Anxiety and depression is the most underrated disadvantage of social media. Anyone who gets trolled over social media or is harassed easily get into depression. The person who is trolled by social media can’t get out of depression easily.

HEALTH ISSUES: Health is the most important aspect of one’s life, and it is badly affected as many people spend all day on their phones.

Not all of the above will apply to everyone. I don’t intend to overly bash social media. But it still goes without saying that too much consumption of anything will result in adversity. Social media can give you fantastic returns if you use it positively, on the other hand, you can waste a big chunk of your time on social media if you are doing it just to pass the time.

No matter how much information or entertainment, we are enjoying through social media, however, life can be great if you spend less time on social networking sites and more time in the real world.
