On the issues raised on accessing the input VAT or claiming VAT credit in lieu of VAT deducted at source and use as a basis for filing of VAT returns, you can only make those claims if the deductee has remitted the VAT to FIRS. The tax credit or input tax must show in your VAT credit ledger before you can make use of it. There is no other way.
The system will not enable you to manually input the VAT credit or input VAT, to use to offset the output VAT.
The VAT regime has empowered Deposit Money Banks, Telecommunications Companies as well as Oil & Gas Companies and Government MDAs, to deduct VAT at source whether as input or final tax and remit same *on or before 14th Day of the month*. The remittance by that date will show in your VAT Credit account, which you can utilize to file your VAT returns.
The issue is the remittance of the VAT on or before the 14th Day of the month. You have a duty to ensure that is done, if you can.
Where the VAT is not remitted on time and you are running late in your own filing, go ahead and file the return on or before 21st Day of the month to avoid penalty for late filing of VAT returns and also avoid interest and penalty for late payment.
Eventually when the deductee remits the VAT, it becomes a tax credit against future VAT payment and you will get your compensating tax credit in the future returns filed and no issue of penalty and interest will arise.
So it is advisable you file the return on or before 21st Day of the Month and pay the VAT due. Your tax credit which you did not obtain in the current return owing to late remittance by the other party, will eventually crystallize in your favour when they remit.
I hope l have answered the questions agitating the minds of most taxpayers on this subject matter. We look forward to your VAT returns but please file on or before 21st Day of the month as there is no acceptable excuse for non or late filing.
If you have further issues to raise, do not hesitate to do so here. |

Not everyone has a VC but everyone has a NIN because we all use phones. headofschool: voter's card is more reliable or NIN, not everyone has passport, drivers license is not reliable, many drivers dnt have it , once they have driving permit. NIN is the best. it's highly unlikely for average Nigerian to lie on their NIN details. ensure user completes their profile before assessing the service.
since it's mostly for working professional, have your team setup tracker to confirm their routes on daily basis, any sudden change of route will be flagged or once they select their axis, then you define their route making it impossible for the same driver to carry someone from a different daily commute.
many things go shele, people will find love, make love and even share testimony of how they first met (thanks to your app🤣), d tin go break 💔 too😒
users don't like stress, after all suggestions, find a way to make it efficient, workers are busy people, they can prefer to upload all their document for you at once than filling up several data
as a user without a car, once m ready to go out, I should see the driver's around my area that are ready to pick me up in defined time and where they will pick me
we have something like In Dubai, it's called bus on demand . look it up!
goodluck☀️ I believe it will fly especially once subsidy is removed. This dude will make money from this venture. |

During the weekend I was with some recruiters and some of them said, they don't look at the "Open To Work" banner on an individual LinkedIn profile.
They prefer to use the Keywords in your LinkedIn profile.
The logic is for you to work on the keywords in your profile, it helps prompt the site's algorithm to re-scan your profile, keeping it toward the top of recruiter searches.
Has anyone benefited from the "Open To Work" banner on LinkedIn? Kindly share your experience.
