Is marriage dead? Answer is No. There are still a few people out there, male and female who still understand what the concept of marriage is all about. They know marriage is about commitment and not just open face love. They know marriage is about sacrifice, patience, teaching each other, making mistakes and learning from them, giving to each other. ETC

I actually understand where nedu is coming from. You see these things called Social media, Hollywood and Bollywood. They have succeeded in rewiring the brains of a lot of youth to make them think marriage is all sharwama and softy lofty. Even the very celebrities they watch mostly have broken homes. Standard of expectation has increased and most young girl out there want an already made man to settle down with (without being ready to contribute a quota) . During the days of our fathers, inlaws gave out their daughters on the basis that the man had a good name and will guarantee 3 square meals to their daughter. Presently, even the so called inlaws are not trying. If they discover that the man asking for their daughters hand in marriage is a teacher in a secondary school, they begin to look down on him and discourage their daughter from marrying him.

All in all, it is well. I still believe in marriage even with the never ending marital issues divorces flying everywhere. Thing is one has to be patient, prayerful and intelligent in selecting a life partner. My 2 cents though

Yes for sure that's why these younger girls of these days put all their responsibility on their boyfriends.... That's why the rate of marriage these days has gone very low, people see marriage as liabilities if they dare go for it and if it turns bad they run full speed out of it and start baby mama this baby mama that.....
